Can you use Amazon Reward Points to buy Visa gift cards?

It's allowing me to add to my cart and proceed to checkout but until I find out if this can be done, I'm not purchasing. I've got $40 in rewards right now that's built up and I'd like to buy a Visa and then get a discounted DGC to add to my stash for an upcoming trip.

Is this the Chase Amazon CC points? If so, why not just take the cash and buy a discounted DGC with it? Last I knew, it's 1cpp as a check or using on Amazon, so we just cash ours.

If it's something else, then I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think it's excluded. It should show during checkout what payment is being used (points or cards).

It also depends on if they cap your savings. I can only save a dollar a gallon and only fill up once a month (wfh) so I only worry about getting 1000 points through reg spend and gc.

At Stop & Shop, there is a max of $1.50 off and 20 gallon max per purchase.

I went in to my local PA based Giant today and they told me there was no cap on the rewards. If you get a large amount, you need to fill out the form at customer service and present your id.

They were unsure, however, if Disney gift cards were covered in the sale. I tried to get one, but their card readers are down. Went to a different Giant and THEIR card readers are also down. I'm going back out tonight and I'll take some cash to try.

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. That ad is the same as Stop & Shop-- neither state they exclude Disney specifically, so it's really strange that they're not honoring that. How frustrating.

If you look at the language under the image it says "with THESE participating gift cards". That's what they pointed out. It is immediately contradictory language. I also got an Amazon gift card which got me zero points as well.

But it was from the manager at two different stores. When I went the first time, their card reader was down and I didn't have cash on me. When I went a second time, I asked again just to verify that there was no limit, and they verified that but again mentioned it wouldn't include Disney. I still bought one anyway because I was hopeful it would work.

When it was ringing up in the register both the Disney gc and the Amazon one had "NP" beside it.

When I was 17, I worked for Giant. I know the codes mean something, but I can't remember what NP means (plus that was 18 years ago so who knows if that's changed). If I had to guess, I'd say it means "No Promotion"

So I'm here trying to write about my puppy Sherlock and the hell he's currently going through. It's really difficult, frustrating and painful. It boils down to he said, she said.

Sherlock broke his plastic splint and the vet didn't have a replacement so we went to another animal hospital today. She told us the splint was the wrong size and bandages should be replaced every 3-4 days. Our vet told us to come back in two weeks on June 2nd , that was eight days ago. The new vet found a nasty hotspot on Sherlock's elbow, much like a bedsore. This sore was very infected and gray in color, this is the stuff gangrene thrives, no kidding! The toes and pads had this slimy, stinky film as they were infected as well. Omg you guys, so maddening! She had to wash his leg, dry his fur and shave it all off to dig out the layers of this gray sore. She put him on insulin infused with an antibiotic and pain killer. Then she worked on the pad and toes. Three hours later Sherlock was back in my arms!

We have an appointment with her on Monday. We will not be going back to our regular vet, not for this or anything remotely serious. Hopefully the antibiotics work to heal that darn sore. He's on four meds now. I'm so frustrated and feel very badly for my dearest. Truly heartbroken.
