Happy GCs at Target are currently glitching. You get back two $5 GCs instead of one when you purchase $75 worth. This can end at any time given it's an error, will only work online.

I can see the 2 offers when I put a $50 card in my cart, but only 1 free Target card is showing up in my cart. I guess the glitch is already fixed, or it just isn't working with the card I chose.

I think the 2 offers are one offer of the $5 card and the second offer is the 5% off using your Target card

So I'm here trying to write about my puppy Sherlock and the hell he's currently going through. It's really difficult, frustrating and painful. It boils down to he said, she said.

Sherlock broke his plastic splint and the vet didn't have a replacement so we went to another animal hospital today. She told us the splint was the wrong size and bandages should be replaced every 3-4 days. Our vet told us to come back in two weeks on June 2nd , that was eight days ago. The new vet found a nasty hotspot on Sherlock's elbow, much like a bedsore. This sore was very infected and gray in color, this is the stuff gangrene thrives, no kidding! The toes and pads had this slimy, stinky film as they were infected as well. Omg you guys, so maddening! She had to wash his leg, dry his fur and shave it all off to dig out the layers of this gray sore. She put him on insulin infused with an antibiotic and pain killer. Then she worked on the pad and toes. Three hours later Sherlock was back in my arms!

We have an appointment with her on Monday. We will not be going back to our regular vet, not for this or anything remotely serious. Hopefully the antibiotics work to heal that darn sore. He's on four meds now. :sad1: I'm so frustrated and feel very badly for my dearest. Truly heartbroken.
Sounds awful I hope he recovers quickly!

It showed 2 $5 gift cards as "offers" when I put the card in my cart. However, it was only putting 1 of them in the cart.
Yes I saw the same thing...I also saw where it was showing a $5 Target card for purchasing one of the $25 Happy Cards but when you get to check out it has a message that the offer is for a purchase of a $50 Happy Card.

When I put a $50 and a $25 Happy gift cards in my cart, 2-$5 Target gift cards show up.
Hmmm I tried that but when I got to check out it was only showing 1-$5 Target card....did you actually receive the 2-$5 Target cards after compl your checkout?

Hey y'all! The Target deal is dead :( you will only get one $5 GC now.

I attached what the order should have looked like for those who are confused.

The only ones I can find in the app with this offer are Happy/Choice/Giving. I am wondering if the promotion refers to the different categories of gift card-- they've got 'Dad-worthy gift cards' or 'Celebrate their hard work'. I mean, the cards are the same, but the category is different.

Does anyone know if universal studios gift cards get the 5% discount when using target redcard like Disney does? If they do I will start buying some to save up for a trip.

(I live in Florida and our targets have the cards. Not sure if all targets do. I am not willing to "risk" buying one right now if it doesn't do the discount and testing it. Lol but if someone can confirm that it does have the discount I will buy one after our great wolf lodge vacation next week and start saving them up like I do our Disney ones -- sorry if I sound high maintenance, I just figured some savvy person here would know lol)

I believe they only exclude Target GCs from the 5% discount.

Agree with @happiestpoe - I've had the 5% Redcard discount work on all other cards @ Target (Southwest, Red Robin, etc), no reason to think it wouldn't work on Universal.

Wish my local stores carried Universal GCs...

Thank you all so much! I bought 2 non disney cards during my trip today (fathers day and my husband's birthday are 2 days apart and I grabbed a couple of gift cards for him to go in addition to our vacation)

When we return from that vacation I will start buying universal cards to start saving up!! We haven't been to Universal in many many years so it will be exciting to save and plan.

Further to this post about the Giant/Martin's/Stop & Shop offer for 6x Go points on the purchase of third party gift cards:

  • @MamaBelle4 notes that in PA at Giant, this promotion is only valid on the cards pictured in the ad
  • They've linked the exclusions in their post here
  • At Stop & Shop in MA, the ad clearly states that the only exclusions are Giant, Visa, and Mastercard
  • If anyone was planning to take advantage of this offer, please let us know how it goes!
I purchased a DGC at Stop & Shop today, had NP next to it on the receipt, didn't receive any gas points... I will say, it was a variable load card, so that may have something to do with it. My S&S didn't have any fixed amounts to purchase.

Just be careful how much you buy in Universal cards. Unlike Disney, there's quite a few things you can't use them on. It's been 5 or 6 years so I don't remember precisely but I'm sure you could search it down. I just remember we had some difficulty with using all the ones I bought.

I've used Universal cards extensively recently and have never had any issues with them. I've used them on ticket upgrades, hotels, food, and merchandise. The ones that I bought were directly from Universal.

Universal does have cards that can be used only for food or merchandise, but those are usually the ones that you get as part of a deal (for instance, I got one during Mardi Gras that can only be used on food). The ones found at Target should be good for anything, but of course YMMV.
