Apparently Disney has increased Park tickets today, soon to follow is Universal. Last year we bought AP's from Sam's at a lower price than Disney's. All I see at Sam's are tickets not AP's, do they no longer sell WDW AP's?
No I don’t think they do. I was told to use tickets at work. I think Dh and I will be buying ours when he gets home from work. We’re gonna go down to gold instead of platinum this year. I’m tempted by silver but we want photo pass and don’t want to be blocked out of the whole summer

We bought 6 AP's last year from Sam's (family of three) and I still have 6 non expiring 5 day tickets. We'll use the AP's first as those expire in 2030.
I paid $922.28 per AP, current price at WDW $1272.68, $350.40 difference.

And as far as those non expiring tickets, I paid $322 per ticket via Orlando Attractions back in 2016.

Here is Sam's prices for WDW 5 Day Date-based Tickets

I was just looking at sams. And my price there would be $528.66 total for a 4 day adult ticket. On Disney's site the same ticket for the same dates is $521.68. Also Sams told me the gate price for that ticket would be 566. So be sure to double check that Sams is actually a deal. @FoxC63 I'm sure you did, just noting it for others.

Update, so I bought my coat on Friday and received an email from Rakuten that my credit is pending. I was thinking it capped off at $50 but I'm getting back $165.90 for this purchase.

Didn't it use to be capped? Not complaining, but am I remembering wrong?
I need to know what kind of coat you bought lol

Make sure you check the math if you're buying through work. I've gone to buy from things like plum benefits before and 99% of the time it's worked out to be more expensive than something like undercover tourist.

Yes, must compare prices and see if tax is added. Touring Plans has a Park Ticket Calculator: LINK and it's highly recommended. I've never used it but it's a nice tool to save. Free of charge to use and no membership required.

Undercover tourist doesn’t sell APs though. I think tickets at work is the only alternative besides getting directly from Disney. At least it’s the only one I’ve seen mentioned. I’ll still compare to make sure. Some on a different thread bought them today and said they were cheaper because they’re at the old price still

It would be about $40 cheaper through tickets at work but we wouldn’t be able to do monthly payments. I think we’re gonna go through disney because we could pay monthly, use disney gcs (right?), and we will easily make that $40 just from interest in our bank account. We get about $60-70/month.

Tickets at work only has Florida resident passes tho right? I looked quick but didn’t notice regular platinum passes or did I just miss it? Anybody know any place to buy the AP if you’re out of state?

Edit: NM, I found the regular platinum passes.

Somewhat related question: we were gifted a visa gift/debit card and we would like to use this toward WDW tickets for our next trip. Would we be able to purchase Disney gift cards with this type of card at Shop Disney? Kroger? Target?

I've used Visa gift cards to buy Disney gift cards at Kroger and Publix with no issue at all, they even let me get one of the big $500 ones and use 6 $50 visa cards plus cash to pay for it without batting an eye.

I've done this at Kroger. Mine typically prompts for them to put in my DL now though. It used to not, now it does even for groceries. I've never been stopped, but I don't do it often since it's a hassle and I don't want them to flag my acct or something. I'd give it a go in your case tho, I can always use fuel points lol. I use those at Sam's online a lit for Disney GCs

I have been told I cannot do this by a cashier and manager at my Kroger. I still do it but use self checkout now.

I don't like it when "they" ask for my DL. I refuse. Why do they need to scan your #? Are they giving me a ticket? None of their darn business!

Anyway
Disney Visa cardholders get 25% Off at ShopDisney use code: DISNEYPALS and get free shipping on $75 with code: SHIPMAGIC.
I dont understand especially as there is no rhyme or reason to it. I go in one day and get $100ish in third party GCs, it triggers ID check. I go in the next week and by $500 in VGCs, nothing 🤷‍♀️
