Okay. What's the trick for getting this to work? I found the offer and added it to my wallet in the Target app but when I go to check out, it's only taking the usual 5% off. I know that I must be missing something, I just don't know what it is.

A few have reported the same but during check out it does go through. I haven't read all the comments on Hip2Save

The offer does not include online orders (such as eGC). Only online discount is for pick up and shipped orders.

Same thing happened to me. When l read the affiliate link, it said visa gift cards, not all gift cards.

I picked shipping and it still would not work

I removed the eGC and added an item that can be delivered to my cart. The discount works that way for the physical item. So it won't work on GCs but if you have other items you want from Target, it's a nice bonus.

Is it possible to get the 5% to stack on DGCs with the regular 5% redcard discount if you purchase in store?

This I'm not sure about since DGC code differently. Not all gc's get 5% off when using the Target Redcard. It's worth a shot if you want to take one for the team and report back.

A few have posted on Slickdeals stating the same as @bbsearchlight but whether they actually went in-store to buy is not stated.

I saw that too, and decided to give it a shot. Worse case scenario I’ve paid full price for a $500 gift card for our October trip. If I’m lucky it’ll track & I’ll come out $75 ahead.

Quick follow up: the GC purchase from Disney does not appear to have tracked for Rakuten. Purchases I made from other stores via Rakuten yesterday posted immediately,but there’s nothing for shopdisney. I’ve had good luck with GC purchases tracking for RMN recently though.

I know people have said they haven’t had luck with Rakuten lately - does the cash back show up and later disappear? Or never show up at all? It’s only 1.5% right now, but it was a pretty big order so I’ll be excited if the cash back sticks.
