I have a question regarding the Happy Dining gift cards that someone may be able to answer. I know they can be used at any of the 6 restaurants listed on the card. I bought one to use at The Cheesecake Factory originally but I see that it can also be used at McCormick & Schmick's. We are planning to eat at Rainforest Cafe on our WDW trip in July. Landry's owns both Rainforest Cafe and McCormick & Schmick's and gift cards for specific Landry's restaurants can be used at any other Landry's locations. Does anyone know if the Happy Dinning gift card can only be used at McCormick & Schmick's or if it can be used at other Landry's restaurants? Thank you.

The only thing I remember is someone posting one of the restaurants not accepting the Landry gift cards. It was posted here long before Covid and unfortunately I did not list it as a DP Warning but I do believe it has happened before even with management intervention.

wow, I've missed a lot with this thread! I know someone asked earlier about Dosh and Sams Club. I have spent $6000 buying DGC at Sams online via Dosh. It says it will take 90 days so in about one week I will know whether my first $19.67 will show up and be depositable (is that a word?). I'm ok if it doesn't as I used a cc that gives cashback plus the 3-4% from purchasing at SAMS...still I will be happy to get back that 2%!

The only thing is, would there be a risk of an Amex clawback if you spend that much money on gift cards in such a short period of time, with such a large amount of money at one time it could get someone on the amex RAT team to look at your account. Most of the Clawbacks from Amex have been over spending bonuses in the past, but when you spend a large amount in a short period of time it could get eyes on your account. The amex terms for the Blue Cash Preferred say "Eligible purchases DO NOT include purchases or reloading of prepaid cards." So again, there is always a risk with Amex when making large amounts of purchases at a Supermarket.

There were some notes of clawbacks from Amex on people purchasing gift cards at grocery stores on other Amex cards but those were from people hitting bonus spending categories - see this article from THE POINTS GUY

Yes the cash back is good up to $1500 used at wholesale clubs. It has worked for me online at both Sams and BJ’s. Costco unfortunately does not sell Disney gift cards.

Okay. What's the trick for getting this to work? I found the offer and added it to my wallet in the Target app but when I go to check out, it's only taking the usual 5% off. I know that I must be missing something, I just don't know what it is.
