Does anyone know if Disney TYPICALLY gives the *value* of the ticket (i.e. in your case $729) or if Disney someone knows we only paid a reduced amount to Viator (i.e. in your case the $620) and gives credit for *actual amount paid*?
Keep us posted on what you find out if you call again a different day!
The weird part is the amount they quoted me was about $20 more than I paid. So I have no idea. But as I have free time I will keep trying and will report if I keep getting the same info. The guy I got started off slightly annoying "It's simple math just take the cost of the AP and minus the cost of your ticket." I had to explain to him that I needed him to actually look at my account and tell me exactly what I owed. Then he became a little more helpful. But hopefully he didn't really know how to do it. Before I called I tried to go online and change the ticket myself (I was going to just select a longer ticket just to see how much they were crediting me for the original), but an error pops up that I have to call.

I didn’t realize that had changed. That’s good to know!
I upgraded my tickets in December last year to an AP from tickets bought from UT and got the full value of tickets, not just what I paid. They did ask my girlfriend where her ticket was purchased from when she upgraded hers, but she still got the full value, not just what I paid for it.

It is a recent change (in the last few years) and it depends what the vendor reports. For sites like UndercoverTourist.com they report the value that you actually paid, so what you get back if you trade it in for example to upgrade to an AP, you get what you paid UT.

If that's the case, then I've just wasted a bunch of time figuring out where to buy a ticket from before upgrading. I think the most frustrating part of this is the randomness/inconsistency in what Disney/vendors do. I mean, I get that Disney is looking to extract max $$ from me, but the answer shouldn't vary depending on CM, day of the week or whether the sky is blue or gray.

Personally for me, I use discounted Disney Gift Cards to renew my APs each year. The discounts are then guaranteed.

You're taking a risk anytime you try to get more than you paid when exchanging tickets for an AP.

It is akin to buying merchandise on sale, exchanging it for a different item and hoping the vendor gives you back the full price for the original item when processing the exchange.

While Disney may have done this in the past, I don't think it is safe to assume you can do it moving forward anymore.

I cannot imagine you’ll get a different answer as this number the CM tells you should be computer generated but let us know how a second call goes if you try.

Here is the Ticket sticky from TPAS Board. They might be more knowledgeable about your situation over there.

I just read your post to my husband and he said they must have looked into it after he left and “your welcome”😂
Much appreciated lol. I'm at ShopRite or Costco minimum 3 times a week so that $15 will get used up immediately. I almost wanna sign up for multiple shoprite cards just to get more of these! Actuuualllyyyy...hmmm

In March I upgraded my husband's tickets for April that I bought through UT during their "buy adult tickets at child price sale" to an AP. Disney applied the full value of the ticket as though it was an adult ticket purchased directly from Disney to the AP upgrade. Guess we lucked out too.

Agree. I was just going on what the TPAS sticky said about bridging (that it was still in effect).

I got a reply to my case I opened at RMN for my Viator purchase of WDW tickets. This is a little annoying because these are non-refundable purchases. Has anyone had good luck providing some sort of proof to RMN to get the cash back sooner? Doubly annoyed since 2 out of my 5 purchases went through within 24 hours of purchase so their rules are all over the place.

"If you do not have a reward by 45 days after the completion of your trip/installation, please send us your booking confirmation showing the date the reservation was made and record that the trip has been completed, such as the final bill, an email asking you to rate your stay, or a screenshot from your Viator account showing the booking as Completed."

I like that target let's you double dip when you have two offers and I imagine it'll now be months until I get another since I've been using them.

Had the spend 295 get 30 and make 3 $80 purchases for 25. I'd already spent 47 towards the 295, which I wasn't going to meet until the 2nd offer. I did two purchases in store today of 75 dis gift cards and the few things I needed so each were just over 80. Then I did a 100 dis gc because I needed to do almost 90 but wasn't sure if doing 3 gc would work (25, 50 & 15 restaurant) for the 80.

In the end I got 250 in dis gc and 55 back which is awesome. I count it this way because the rest of it was stuff I would have bought regardless. I've got over 100 in rewards now, I've got to figure out something to use them or just use them for reg shopping.

Just want to verify - I still haven't used my 10% Cashback Chase offers for Staples.com (online only) - Looking at the first page, it says 3rd party e-gift card purchases are processed by Staples and should track?

Going to buy some gift cards for eBay to buy something at 10% off. Anyone else have experience here with eBay gift cards bought through Staples.com and whether it counts as a Staples purchase that will track for Chase offers?

Following up - I purchased a $100, $50 and $25 eBay eGC from Staples.com today and the purchase vendor was in fact Staples.com which I hope will track to give me the full $17 cashback from Chase.
