Much appreciated lol. I'm at ShopRite or Costco minimum 3 times a week so that $15 will get used up immediately. I almost wanna sign up for multiple shoprite cards just to get more of these! Actuuualllyyyy...hmmm
I have 3 that I use… my phone number and both of my kids’ phone numbers. I buy all 3 gift cards at the same time with different phone numbers and no one says anything. 😊

I purchased 2 gift cards via website at Staples with my Chase card. The purchase shows as Gas, so it’s not tracking for the 10% offer. Is there anyway to dispute this?

Any other data points on Staples being incorrectly coded as Gas?

A number of years ago when they first started doing these promotions, I went into a few different Shoprite's and signed up for a bunch of different Price Plus cards. I just gave them random names, addresses, and phone numbers. However, I tried to sign up for a new one last year at 2 different Shoprites and they wouldn't issue one without showing ID. I am assuming what you are saying is you can show them the same ID but as long as the phone number is different, they will give you a separate Priceplus account.

Just want to verify - I still haven't used my 10% Cashback Chase offers for Staples.com (online only) - Looking at the first page, it says 3rd party e-gift card purchases are processed by Staples and should track?

Going to buy some gift cards for eBay to buy something at 10% off. Anyone else have experience here with eBay gift cards bought through Staples.com and whether it counts as a Staples purchase that will track for Chase offers?
The only word of caution I would give you on ebay gift cards is to use them on an established ebay account, if you try to use them on a new account ebay will freeze the gift cards and make you send in the proof that you purchased the gift cards. I would also save the activation receipts from the gift cards until after you receive the item.

How do you know it's not tracking? The Chase offer is looking for the merchant and not a category. If the charge says it's from staples.com, it should track regardless of category. Still weird it would get categorized as gas but I wouldn't think that should matter. (Depending on what Chase card you used it might work in your favor if there's a multiplier for gas. )

Thanks I used my existing eBay account which is 25 years old now and already made my purchase which went through with the gift cards no issues. Since these were online purchases - no activation receipts, but I do of course have the receipts from Staples for the gift cards.

Still waiting on Chase to investigate. My only thought is that I used the Apple Pay option, but with the correct card.
I would have waited to see if it posted the credit before an investigation. Like another said it was just requiring staples for the offer not office supply. Having CC look into your transactions is not a great idea when buying GC (if you were buying GC)

I got a reply to my case I opened at RMN for my Viator purchase of WDW tickets. This is a little annoying because these are non-refundable purchases. Has anyone had good luck providing some sort of proof to RMN to get the cash back sooner? Doubly annoyed since 2 out of my 5 purchases went through within 24 hours of purchase so their rules are all over the place.

"If you do not have a reward by 45 days after the completion of your trip/installation, please send us your booking confirmation showing the date the reservation was made and record that the trip has been completed, such as the final bill, an email asking you to rate your stay, or a screenshot from your Viator account showing the booking as Completed."

45 day payout is not only the norm at RMN, it's written in their policy. We all have to wait 45 days no matter what we purchase from them.

My tickets haven't tracked, but they love to send me reminders about the offer lol! I'm definitely going to submit a ticket.
:thumbsup2

The offer terms do state "Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account." So it is possible that apple pay is considered a 3rd party service. In general, when doing a credit card offer, you shouldn't use any 3rd party like apple pay, google pay, paypal, etc. While they may sometimes work, if they don't credit, then it can be difficult to get customer service to credit it.

The offer terms also state "Offer not valid on gift cards." While the gift card purchase did work for most of us, if it doesn't post, customer service does have a valid reason to deny your claim if all you purchase was a gift card.

I thought I had seen reports of that, the offer doesnt say that though. I was too scared to try it so I bought a filler I was going to buy anyway to get me above $80 after tax and discounts.
Just to clarify:

This is the language from the Target website:
  • A “qualifying purchase” is a purchase made after you activate the offer that meets the minimum purchase threshold. Your purchase qualifies after automatic Target Circle deals are applied but before other discounts and coupons. Taxes, fees, and tips do not count toward the minimum purchase.

Circle offers that apply automatically - qualifying amount is the amount AFTER the offer has been applied
*Except offers that include a free gift card instead of % off*

Circle offer that you have to activate - qualifying amount is the amount BEFORE the discount has been applied

Manufacturer coupon - qualifying amount is the amount BEFORE the coupon has been applied

5% red card discount - qualifying amount is the amount BEFORE the discount has been applied

Subtract any automatic offers from your Subtotal and you'll know your qualifying amount. It's a PITA when you have several offers, but I've had all my purchases track this way.

I honestly think I might have signed up online. I am not sure if they all have my name or if I put my kids names on them. I guess I better hang on to the 3 I have if it’s that serious. 😬
