Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

It looks like Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets are now available on TripAdvisor and Viator.

For TripAdvisor - you can find the tickets by clicking here: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attract...Walt_Disney_World_Resort-Orlando_Florida.html

Then clicking "See tickets" and picking "Walt Disney World Special Event Tickets"

Picking dates in November / December will result in Very Merry Christmas Party tickets. If you can't get this to work in the app, search for "Walt Disney World Resort" in the app and then click See Tickets, then Special Event Tickets.

Here is the link for Viator, which sometimes has a coupon plus sometimes there is a large cashback offer: https://www.viator.com/tours/Orlando/Walt-Disney-World-Special-Event-Tickets/d663-3805P6
Do you know how long this code is good for? My son hasn't told me for sure he is coming on our trip in Sept., so I am hesitant to buy him a ticket, but that deal is almost too tempting to pass up.

The TripAdvisor code should be good until 12/31/24, but check the other post I made, you can save 15% off the price with Viator using the link I provided and RMN has 14% cashback right now too. My price for MVMCP tickets for a $199 ticket will be $155 with tax after the cashback!

You know I know I mentioned previously that I was good with paying for my NSS tickets with gift cards but there is a party the night we arrive (we're doing the party the day after) and for that price...and having a small kid...I may just buy the extra party knowing we won't be staying all the way till the end. It may just make sense!

Yeah with the discount, I am thinking of buying our Disneyland tickets for summer 2025 now. Tickets you buy today on Viator or TripAdvisor should be good until January 2026. Disneyland doesn't use dated tickets, so even though Viator makes you pick a date - the tickets you receive just need to be used by the expiration which is January 2026 right now.

I really wish our only opportunity to go to the halloween party wasn't opening night. Between the higher price and the extra crowds from the bloggers and influencers it just isn't worth it.
But this is a killer deal for anyone that is going to buy them anyways.

As I posted in the mvmcp thread on tpas, I've gone to 4 first night parties and the crowds no different than another sold old party. The bloggers etc are waiting for shows or filming the parade, they really aren't noticeable. Others agreed.

I've never seen anyone post anything other than there's so many of them etc, never any examples of an entire party being ruined because they are there. I wouldn't let the first party be the reason not to go. I'm going to the 1st mvmcp and jollywood in Nov.

I'm very confused about this new language on the Circle bonus:
"Your purchase qualifies after automatic Target Circle deals are applied but before other discounts and coupons. Taxes, fees, and tips do not count toward the minimum purchase."
It used to be before all discounts, correct? How do I know if/when I've hit the minimum?

I need a 3 or 4 day ticket for our short trip in December. Hopefully Disney will release a discount offer like last year and it'll show up on Viator!

I know it used to be before the 5% red card discount

I have gone to an opening night MNSSHP before and my personal experience must have been different than yours. I felt operations weren’t quite dialed in, most likely due to first night kinks, as well as some of the merchandise and food offerings weren’t all available yet. I never said the party would be ruined, I just know that my preference would be to go the following week and pay less for it. It doesn’t line up with our dates, no big deal.

Edit: I feel like one only needs to look at the DIS’s YouTube review of last years JollyWood Nights opening night to see how first night parties can sometimes not be the greatest experience.

I agree about first time events but not first night parties that have been happening without a ton of changes for years. Jollywood wasn't a surprise to me given some of the other one off events or first night of an event issues they've had over the years.

They certainly didn’t publicize this. I made a purchase with subtotal of $125. Learned the hard way has to be 120 after all discounts apparently including redeeming any rewards. My total after all discounts, coupons, and rewards was $87 and this was the amount the agent referenced when explaining why I didn’t get my reward. All these new changes make it harder to save money which I am sure was their goal. Not being able to save discounts is frustrating too, that’s how I would make my shopping list.

@FoxC63 - I asked Magic Media to imagine an iconic superheroine surrounded by a whirlwind of gift cards. I am extremely grateful for the nearly 5 years you have put into managing this thread. You've left some awfully big shoes to fill.

But are any of those GCs the cardboard kind that don't peel well?! 😅

It’s official, I’m retiring from the Updated Disney Gift Card thread effective immediately

There are a few reasons for my decision but the bottom line is, it’s just time.

I want to thank all of you for your help, support and patience over the years. I’ve learned a great deal and have been guided with generosity and kindness. I also want to thank you for opening up and sharing your life stories. In all honesty, I’m a better person for getting to know so many of you, so thank you for that.

I’ll still be on the DIS just no longer hosting this thread and will continue to value your friendship and trust. I wish nothing but the very best for you and your endeavors.

Take care my friends,
Thia
Truly, thank you from my family and me. You have helped us stretch our dollars more than anyone else and enabled us to spend more time together during these cherished years!

WOW! Thank you for the image, that's so cool! I actually turned it into a pdf!

And thank you all for your kind words. As I've always said, This community is the heart of our thread and none of it would have worked without you.

Currently @Liquidice is trying to find a way to keep it intact which would involve members of this community adding to it. Whatever happens or whoever takes over, they'll be wearing their own shoes and I'm sure we'll all be there to support them every step of the way.

Funny and that's what one of the DIS admins said but when someone told them to look on Post #1 for Disney gift card deals, she acknowledge she didn't know that's how our thread worked.
Lol, I didn't know that either, thank you!
