A while ago we had a popular thread, if you knew the CEO of DCL was reading this what would you recommend they do or suggest.

We see 'free sodas' happening now, and many people felt they do look at these boards.

I will post a poll of the top suggestions I remember but feel free to add yours to the thread.

Mine would be for automation of booking 'online' for shore excursions, reservations etc.

How about wireless internet in the staterooms... or anywhere on board!!!!

Yes! Would love to see that!

I think in room movies is a GREAT idea! For when your little one turns in before you want to!

Which brings up another point - How about having the TV where the bed is - When the kids go to sleep, it's not so easy to watch TV - I know the TV turns -

Add another vote for wireless internet access

Disney Music in the halls is very important!!!!!

Also, internet access is also a great idea!!!!!!!

I'm actually pretty happy with how they do everything that's on your list.

I would ask that they enforce their no chair saving policy. I mean when you see someone putting towels on a chair in the morning and they're still in the p.j.s, you can kind of figure they're saving :teeth:

I'm also for a no smoking club and one side of the ship verandah smoking only.

I think as far as the Palo ressies, they are doing it the fairest way they can.

I also vote for Disney music in the halls - makes for a very happy start to the day!

Also vote for either wireless internet or at least stateroom hookups (though wireless would be easier for DCL to do). Would LOVE this in place before the 14 day CA-FL (can't keep DH or me away that long!)

Booking on the internet, on a longer time frame for the dining ressies is a clear winner at the current time with shore excursions a close second.

Many votes for bring back Disney music,
no chair saving policy
And wireless internet access.

Funny I remember last time, lots of suggestions on the coffee, fewer votes this time,

Interesting very low votes for pre and post cruise hotels and help, looks like people do not trust DCL on this and want to do it themselves, because the web threads are full of suggestions on Hotels!!!

Thanks

how about the Navigator for your cruise date (2-4 weeks before your cruise date) to plan ahead....

Ok, I admit it....one moring I had a early spa appt. I went up to topsiders and grabbed a bite to eat before it and sat by the pool at a table. Someone came down in their slippers and threw towels on 5 chairs next to the Mickey pool and walked away....when I finished eating I walked over and gathered up the towels and left them all on one chair.....

The navigator idea is great, you could view it on the internet, but I think they print it on the ship to react to things.

I know on another cruise line, when we missed a port due to bad weather an updated newsletter came out, with a full programme to compensate.

But it is difficult to see everything in navigators when you are on the cruise and when you get home and study them again there is something you missed

Since it is a family cruise.......................... No naughty nighties, no tighty whities.

Gail, don't you wish you could have stayed there till she came back? I think I would have put them into the dirty towel box. Or piped up and and said, excuse me, I am saving those chairs for later, please move your stuff!

Now to the crux of the thread, I don't know if I would change anything. The music in the halls, I don't remember that there was any on my first DCL cruise, so no help there. More bikes to rent onshore, they would have to find additional excusion providers. And you often times have to compete with other ships in port.

I do like the reserved seating for the shows, there are always seat savers and of course the people they are saving the seats for show up late and they are always saving the prime seats. It's one thing to save a seat for someone who had to make a quick pit stop, but a half or whole row?

I didn't vote, because I guess no matter how it's done, there will be people shut out of reservation times, etc. But I do like the idea of celebration info and being able to request more stuff for that.

Oh gosh, I forgot one other thing! The Mickey goodnight, or character goodnight. When Premier Cruise Lines and Disney parted company, Premier became the "Official Cruise Line of Universal Studios" and they had characters sailing form Universal. For $25.00, you could get Tweety to tuck you child in, it was wildly popular, and no one over 5 could be tucked in. This was in the late 80's, I think it would cost a lot more, but it would be cool to have a choice of characters do tuck in service. ANd for the record, Captain Jack Sparrow can tuck me in anytime!

Maybe there are less votes for a coffee shop because isn't there a new coffee shop/internet cafe on Deck 9 where Commom Grounds used to be?
Would love the Disney music to come back!
