Updated 1/22! Photos and a little reporting.

So were Scotty and I. Once the kids were old enough as teenagers we started letting them go of on their own and we did what we wanted. The last trip we took we took our own pace and did things we had never taken the time to do like ride in the Lily Belle and just relax. It was awesome! I will think happy thoughts for you on the Dr letting you go!

I hope Lightening won!!:cheer2:

Part of me can't wait for the day that the kids can go off and do their own thing and we can do what we want. We've done the Lily Belle with the kids and loved it!! Jeremy actually enjoyed it too. He's getting into the history of Walt Disney and all that he's done.

You know I don't know who won. I had to go make lunch while the race was going on. :lmao: Never heard the outcome.

They grow up so fast. It will be here before you know it! It's a rich history! Have you seen the Disneyland Encyclopedia? That has some great stories in it.

If you find out let me know. I try to follow all of Lightening's races.:rotfl:

I haven't seen that one. I'll have to check it out. We've been to the Walt Disney Family Museum a couple times and really enjoyed the history of who Walt was and not just as the creator of Disneyland. Jeremy's only been once (they don't allow strollers so we only brought the kids once) but he remembers it and will ask me stuff about it. So I think a Mommy/Jeremy day or Mommy/Daddy/Jeremy day needs to happen so we can take him back. Now to just figure out when and to find a babysitter for the other two.

I'll be sure to do that. :thumbsup2 James and Sarah are napping right now so I'll ask them when they wake up.

I had the encyclopedia before and I rebought it. I never finished it. Maybe he would enjoy reading the book with you? There a lot of fun stories about when the park was originally built. Walt was quite a guy. I think you guys would have a ball!

I anxiously await the race outcome!:rotfl:

He probably would. He loves to be read to or try to read himself so maybe that could be a good book for him to try to read as he learns more about something he enjoys. It is fun to learn about Walt as a person and not just as the creator of Disneyland. But I will say if you've never been to the Museum the last room is the hardest!! Make sure you have lot's of tissues!!!!

Sorry it's taken me this long. Love the changes, extra time, AP, and your favorite resort. I have to say I was surprised when I saw you hadn't chosen the Ayers.

We have never been! I am ashamed to admit I am 45 miles from San Francisco and have never gone to the museum.

That is updated version, I bought it earlier for my Nook. :goodvibes

Too funny! That is exactly what my mom said.

We are about 45 mins too and that's with minimal traffic. If we don't have traffic going into the city it's a miracle.

Just wanted to make sure I was looking at the right one. Will probably go check the book store but will probably just order it online.

So I found out that Lightening WON!! :cheer2: But it was by default because he wasn't racing anyone. :lmao:

I can't remember the last time I was able to get to San Francisco in 45 minutes. Traffic has been so bad lately.

I was reading my new copy of that book last night and I think that the stories may bore Jeremy.

Good! Glad to hear Lightening won!!
:cheer2: Every win is a good win!

It looks as though there will be an addition to our little group. My nephew Ryan and his wife Celina have decided to visit during the time we are there! Neither have seen DCA or DTD. The last time they went was when they were teenagers.

Ryan and Celina on their wedding day.

We talked about going this weekend but then we realized the Bay Bridge is going to be closed!! :scared1: NO THANK YOU!!! Not going to deal with that traffic!!

That's ok I never made it to the book store!! :lmao: The kids started being normal kids after we picked up their pictures at JCPenny's so I decided forget it and just went home.

Yeah, that is one traffic jam I wouldn't want to deal with. It is going to be ugly. Plus this weekend with the holiday all of the highways are going to be a mess.

I love when the kids start acting like kids.:rotfl: I have gone home more than once because of that.:hippie:

I'm normally ok with traffic (just because I don't have to deal with it, DH on the other hand hates it since he drives in it every day!!) But that traffic is going to be a nightmare!!

Yeah I'm normally fine with it and don't have a problem but it was just over the top!! And with me being pregnant I don't have as much patience.

aw, that is great that your nephew and new wife are joining you. Very nice wedding pic of them. Love the Bride's dress. very pretty :goodvibes

I am not a fan of the traffic. Our town has terrible traffic because everybody moved this way to commute towards the bay area.

I totally get it!

I love that picture. Her dress was lovely!

I'm sorry that it has been so long since I have been here but I have a few things going with my life. Like the fact that our home is being rebuilt. I am going to probably bore you to tears with details including the pictures from my latest visit to the house.

This is the front obviously.:goodvibes

This is the bench in what is going to be my Villains bathroom.

This is a view into our girls rooms. The one on the right is going to have a distinct Haunted Mansion flavor.

This is the future Princess bathroom.

This is our backdoor.

This is the sight where our fireplace was and will be again.

Okay that will be it for now, but there will be more in the future.

Trip wise I have been trying to figure out places to eat that everyone likes the food. That is not an easy task with a big family of picky eaters. I do know that my DH Scotty and I will be eating at Hungry Bear at least once. He wants to eat at the Corn Dog Castle. So those are the only two definite plans we have for food. Trust me though there will be food, and lots of it. We don't ever miss a meal.:rotfl:

WOW! You're at lock-up stage. How cool. Love the progress report. Thanks for sharing.

We are almost at lock up stage. I actually have more pictures but I didn't want to overload. You're welcome.
