It's been awhile since I have had a little guy. What are some things I need? I am thinking a crate? I blankie, Some new chew toys and bones and a collar. Am I missing anything? Oh and a bowl set.

Your list sounds good as a start, you can always pick up things as you need them. Don't forget puppy food, and you'll need a leash for her too.

We had a chocolate lab years ago, his name was Kramer (from Sienfeld) and he fit the name perfectly Such a goofball.

What a sweet baby!! We have an 11 month old black lab and he is the best dog ever, still a little wild, but all in all pretty good. I may be a little biased, but I think labs are the most perfect dogs in the world.

Labs are great pets...especially with kids. We have three (of each...three kids, three labs). We have one lab of each color...chocolate (named Buddy), black lab (she is named Baby Girl) and our yellow..the puppy...is named Chas...the kids named him...don't ask! The kids love the dogs, and the dogs love the kids...it's great.

OMG this little guy is HUGE. He is such a sweety. It has been a bit rough going with Dexter. Dexter has been a bit jealous, stealing the new puppys bones and so forth but they are starting to play. Also 3 accidents that I know of. So any potty training tips appreciated!!!

We have a black and a chocolate that are brothers. I would love to have a golden.... but DH about flipped when I came home with two... not much chance he would let me in the house with another.

That is gonna be one "HUGE" lab. I swear the labs these days just keep getting bigger and bigger. My DH and I bred a litter of lab pups. Out of the five pups we had two chocolate females and 3 yellow males....

The yellow pup in the middle we kept, his name is "Baloo". He is 2 years old and his back literally stands like 6 inches above both his mom and dad. The scary part is that the yellow pup on the far left (his owners named him "Rug") has gotten even bigger than "Baloo".


Congrats though, labs are definately the best. We have had our two adults for 6 years, longer than our kids, and they love children so much. They truly are the greatest dogs.

We love labs too, but are partial to black labs. We lost our boy in dec. DH is trying to talk himself into another one now....

he has what they call a "Zipper" nose. It is just the way that the hair parts right there. He also has the liver colored nose of a chocolate lab. The breeding wasn't intended, because we nevr would have bred a chocolate and a yellow together, in the end though I loved these puppies, and I am glad that we had them.
