UPDATE: Who has six visits to a house for sale they don't want to pay for??

I just wanted to spread some :wizard: for everyone trying to sell their home!

Thanks guys! I hope I have a more affirmative answer from this family soon, all those selling, just say TODAY is the day...

If it doesn't sell this selling season, it will sell next selling season, but for this coming day, TODAY will be the day...

Mystery Machine, did you find another house?

Well, Sunday's couple is coming back to meet with DH while he is coincidentally down at the house! Their realtor will be with them, but our realtor will be at a wake or funeral... Anyhow, they want to review the property line, look at the alarm and go through details not generally known by realtors, so it's looking quite good, they're coming over at six, and I've totally got my fingers crossed that something good will come from the visit! :thumbsup2

Not yet....we keep looking. It is crazy out there. The homes we are looking at need too many repairs.:guilty:

We are looking for move-in ready, as we are trying to pay off debt, not sink money into a house.

We are forgiving "1 thing" big and that is it, like a fence, etc....

Tough out there....just brutal.:headache:

I lke TODAY is the day! A day late but Today is our day.:goodvibes We got an offer now if we can work a few little things out I will have to do some hose shopping. Wonder if that counts in the no buy April thread I am also doing?;)

HOW is it going with others selling now???

Congrats!! That's quite exciting. I sooo hope you don't have to deal with any crazies and that this works out for you!

How's it going for everyone else ? I just found this thread and it's interesting!

That's less than a month on the market! Congratulations! You must so happy!!!

The average in our town for our price range is 270 or 280 days, this is like 30 or 40 days out, I'm pretty psyched if this is more than just a looker!

We just found our that some friends of ours who sent their kids to our school sold their house as well... It was more money in the town over, so if they can sell, we should be able to (I Hope!)

They're still there by the way :)

My Sticky Note says "The House Will Sell Today", I'm keeping those notes LOL.... Keep the Faith!

Mystery Machine, perhaps you could buy our house LOL... Is there anything you could drop off your "need" list so that you could find another house in your price range and that you like?

I am hoping they're the "one" for your house!!!!

Let us know as soon as you find out!

:lmao:

We need a house with a fence and doesn't need any major repairs.
2 bedrooms that are at least 12X12
Master has to be at least 15X15
Decent master bath
Formal living room, dining room would be nice but not necessary.
Would like a finished basement.
Decent kitchen. I refuse to have a kitchen with a center island stove.

That is it.;) Alot of the houses will not fit our furniture.:upsidedow

Well, our house is not quite 4 years old, in perfect condition, has no fence, has 5 bedroom one of which is 26x16, the master bath is 12x13 and the master closet is nearly that size LOL... My kitchen isn't terribly wonderful, but it's all granite :) it has a 950 square foot playroom, Course it's in the wrong part of the country, sorry....

How old are the houses you're looking for? Can you look in different areas or towns than you've been looking in? Maybe that would be an avenue.... Oh, one thing, you could buy different furniture, that might be cheaper than buying a bigger house than you need?

They've been there more than an hour, so that's good news in my book! :thumbsup2

Well, the family has left & clearly mimics ours... Has the MIL, two kids, parents are about our age, the husband works as a solar engineer in the area (this house is perfect for him), the wife has a home based business and would like the storage racks in the basement if they buy the house. They talked about the tech stuff that was important to them, and about some additional details as well. Apparently they asked about the neighbor (that would be my MIL who lives up here mostly full time), he told them she doesn't have parties, but she's like a bear around tax time :rotfl: They thought that was quite funny...

Anyhow, the visit went very well, they like the house, it has everything on their wish list plus a bit.... so my husband, who isn't particularly hopeful, is quite hopeful LOL.... so, I will say again "The house will sell today!" Course a new today starts in about 4 & a half hours.... :thumbsup2

We have a specific area we are looking in which is the problem. Location is our #1 priority.
It is close to DH's work and it is the school district we want. Don't care about age of house, just the fact it isn't neglected.

As far as the furniture, nope all of it is staying. It took us 20yrs to find the furniture we want.;)
Anyway we do not want to spend the $$$ to put out for furniture.

We will find something or rent until we do. It will all work out.:goodvibes

Good Luck to YOU!!!:cheer2:

Nope, no offer yet, but both realtor's say it's their #1 house out of all those they've seen.... Tuesday night was their last visit.

I'm wondering if 1. they're getting their financing in order or 2. letting us sweat it out in order to negotiate lower....

My realtor will be seeing theirs today, so I may know more later today...

There aren't many homes that fit all their criteria, but if they're willing to drop some of their criteria they could save a lot of money to find a different house. The question is, will they or will they not drop their current criteria, if not, I'm sure they'll make an offer....

Thanks for the pixie dust, we can use all we can get!

Thanks!

We're looking at houses right now....and I am trying to be sensitive to sellers (having been on that side of the fence....try 74 showings on a house in a 6 month period with 2 yr old twins----ARGH). What is delaying us is being able to look at the other houses on our list. We've been delayed since some owners have had so few showings in this market, that their houses aren't "show ready"!!!! I can't believe we're thinking about selling in this market....:rotfl:

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you!

Oh I hope that they make an offer. That would be great. I bet they are just getting everything in order and really thinking everything through. Sometimes people just need a few days to digest everything.
