I don't understand something. Why did Thom just up and drop you from his insurance? Why did you let him? His employer just let him drop you, just like that? Do you have a lawyer?

Lilmermaid, I don't have a lawyer and don't know how to go about getting one that won't cost me a great deal. I didn't realize that I could get him to keep me on the insurance.

You have COBRA rights to continue the insurance, if the covereage was through an employeer. Of course this is at your cost.
