UPDATE pg.3 - If you have a little extra pixie dust floating around..

DD has been in the hospital for the past 11 days.. I have been reluctant to post about it here, but after speaking with her on the telephone tonight I decided to come to the good people of the DIS to ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers and join me in sending postive energy her way..

She has been through an awful lot in the past 11 days and on Friday received a diagnosis that has left her with a long, hard, lifelong battle ahead of her.. Although she is a very strong individual, even the strongest of people can sometimes become discouraged and lose their way..

I have faith that she will rise to this occasion - just as she has done many times before when faced with what seemed like insurmountable odds - but a little extra pixie dust, a few good thoughts, and a prayer or two certainly couldn't hurt - right?

I had posted a thread 2 days ago checking in on how all your planning was coming along....I am sending tons of prayers and PD your way, and you're right, it sure can't hurt. You have shown what a strong family you are and I am hoping you all will be able to draw on that strength again. I am sending you all and a special to your DD.

Oh - I'm sorry FINFAN.. I must have missed that thread.. Obviously I haven't been spending much time on the boards lately or I would have seen it and responded..

I'm hoping DD can still make the trip - needs it more now than ever - but first things first.. We've hit a rough patch, for sure - but the one thing we are not is a bunch of "quitters".. One day at a time - one foot in front of the other - and we WILL get through this as well..

I agree w/one day at a time...my dad always tells me that daylight is a miracle worker....somewhere, someone or something miraculous will occur on a new day...and I agree. Glad to hear from you tho...I was getting a bit worried....thought maybe your group had grown to over 100 or something! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Not quite 100 - LOL - but the last time I spoke with someone at Disney about our rooms and such they were under the impression that it should be changed to a "Magical Gathering"..

"Obstacle".. I like that word! That's exactly how I see it - just another "obstacle".. She may have a tough road ahead of her but she has a good support system in place and if we all work together I'm sure we'll find a way "over", "under", "around" or "through" this newly diagnosed problem and life will go on - just as it always does..
