Update- page 3. Omg! AAA did not pay off our package and Disney cancelled it!

Just got done reading this thread and I am so glad that things worked out for you. What a nightmare. I had some doubt when I first booked with AAA, but overall the TA there has been okay to deal with. When I went in to make my final payment she called it in when I was right there and when I checked two days later it went through. I have heard several stories though about people having a rotten time with their AAA TA. I cant figure out how those people could have been so rude to you. Talk about no class!!! I bet if it was there vacation that somebody else messed up they would be angry! Hope you have the best vacation!!!
 
I am so sorry to hear what you have experienced with AAA. However, I also want to thank you for posting it as well. I have some aprehension about our trip coming up. We also booked with AAA and I really hate the fact that I can't just check on the reservation any time I want to like booking directly with WDW. I would never have thought anything like this could have happened. After reading your post I told my husband I did not want to wait until day 46 like we had originally planned. These boards are really great for sharing things you might never expect. I can imagine how upset I would be if I'd planned all this time and got excited only to hear that kind of news. YIKES!!!! I will be sure to stay connected with my AAA TA. Anyway, glad it all worked out for you and hopefully now you can just relax and enjoy your vacation.
 
Denise - I am so glad that this all worked out for you - the bloke you spoke to sounds like a complete jerk. You should definitely write a letter to someone further up the line to complain - after all what would have happened if you hadn't checked your CC yesterday? The whole lot could have been lost and it sounds to me like you did all of the hard work rescuing it when it should have been the AAA guy. All I can say is thank goodness for Disney - I am so glad they came through for you :0)
 
Oh Denise, I'm so relieved! You already feel like such a good friend and I was heartbroken when I read this. I will have to say that the concierge at the GF have been the BEST! I am so glad that this worked out. I would have been in tears with you.

It is inexcusable when you told the AAA office 3 days early. Did you get your cruise back?

Sorry you had to go through this. I'll buy you a cocktail in the SL lounge. ;) :rotfl:

So glad to hear this is resolved. Hope the TA & Branch Manager realize the grief & anxiety they caused you & your family ( that everyone here shared w/ you) & arrrange for extra Pixie Dust to come your way while you are @ Disney.

I'm so glad everything worked out for your trip. My dh is from Alabama and a die hard fan. I am crossing my fingers that Alabama winds up in the Citrus bowl because it could be an extra disney trip for me if dh could get tickets. :)

What a nightmare! I am so glad that you were able to stay on them until they got it straight. And Bama pulled it out. Again. Thank goodness. Bravo to you for being on the ball and realizing they had messed it up.
 
I'm glad this was resolved. What a horrible thing to happen. This is why I have booked my last three vacations and my upcoming one with Dreams Unlimited. Never an issue, never a problem, always helpful.

OMG triplefigs!!! I just read the detail on your horrible ordeal! I would have aged 10 years. Thank heaven you discovered it before it was too late. Definite pixie dust was coming your way. I'm SO happy it has worked out. Definitely follow up with AAA - I'm sure they will want to know. There is absolutely no excuse for such incompetence!!! I too have been reading your posts sharing in your excitement so I'm thrilled that it will all come true for you. Best wishes...

Oh my gosh, I am sooo glad it worked out for you, that would be horrible. Definatly keep us updated on what happens and if you get any (well deserved) compensation for their horrible screw up.
 
Ive been keeping an eye on this thread to see the outcome. I am SOOOO HAPPY for you!!

Honestly, if you did not have the concierge level, I doubt you would have gotten everything AAA lost. I know Disney is very accomodating to all guests but if you're staying concierge you get the super supreme treatment.

Thank goodness GF has it together, obviously AAA doesn't.
