Okay so I called dining again this morning. I got a different CM and she said that the reason I was not able to make an ADR for Yak & Yeti and Planet Hollywood[/U] yesterday was because these two places have special reservation guidelines they set with Disney individually. They do not observe the 180 days plus 10 rule. The date I want to book them must be 180days out so I if I still want them I would need to call back on Monday to book them. I have no idea why the CM yesterday didn't tell me this.

Anyway she also said, concerning the Hoop de Doo, that they do have a verify order on it but they have no reason for it as of yet. So I must call back in August and make sure I do have this ressie.

Also concerning their refund policy the CM said the other CM was mistaken yesterday and that if I did cancel either the HDD or CRT within 48 hrs I would get a full refund. Not that I would even consider doing such a horrible thing.

Hope this new info helps.

thanks for the info .....always good to see what is being said

Yes that just happened to me, i couldnt book Yak and Yeti w/ everything else so i had to call back a few days later but i got the time i wanted!

I read that the people who own Rainforest Cafe also own Yak and Yeti which is the same people opening T-Rex, so does that mean there's a 50% chance TREX may be on the DDP? :cool1:

My guess it is more likely to be the same as Rainforest since it is not within a park. Rainforest takes the Premium and Platinum Dining Plans, but not the standard or deluxe.

This is not exactly new information. A number of the restaurants that are not owned and run by Disney do not take reservations more than 180 days in advance. These restaurants do not use the plus-10 rule. Most of them are at Downtown Disney.

I would guess no on DDP for T-Rex because, like the Rainforest Cafes, it is not located inside a theme park (Yak and Yeti is located in the Animal Kingdom park). But there is no certainty about what will be done for 2009. If the DDP price is raised as rumored, Landrys may choose to participate, we can't know yet.
