Update on my Winnie

We ended up taking her at midnight to emergency vet place. She could't sleep for more than 10 minutes at a time due to not being able to breathe through her nose. The nosedrops help for about 10 minutes. We even got a Vicks humidifer and a little one where she puts her face right over it...yes, she was doing it! I guess it felt good. SHe looked so cute. But again, only a temp. fix.
Emerg. place really did nothing. I thought maybe they could put her on a nebulizer or something, but apparently not. They did xrays again, no pneumonia, just bronchitis.
So now she is scheduled for a rhinoscopy on Monday with our vet and I'm soooo worried. ANyone's dog have this? I just hate when she goes under anesthesia.

Did you try maybe one of those suction things that they use for babies noses to give her some temporary relief and keep up with the humidifier it will probably give her some relief.

Thinking of you... are you boarding her during your vacation? Two weeks ago we watched our neighbors dog and she was also sick; vomiting, etc. She was comfortable at our house and we nursed her through. I know she would have been stressed if she had been boarded. The family couldn't change their plans (they are moving, and had to meet with the new company)

I hope your Winnie gets well really soon. It is so hard when pets are sick because they can't tell us what is wrong.

I didn't read your initial post to see what all of your dog's symptoms are but my dog did have a sinus infection about 3 months after we got her. She was very "stuffed up", her eyes were swollen. It was really weird. My vet did a rhinoscopy right off the bat (before trying meds) because he was really convinced that she had a foreign object stuck in there. I mean, it is really odd for a dog to get a sinus infection. But he could find nothing. So he put her on an antibiotic for 10 days and that cleared it right up.

Another tough night of trying to make her comfortable enough to sleep. Now her nose has some blood also...hoping it's just from irritation. Vet knows about it. So stressed and worried.

The blood is probably from the irritation - poor thing. I'm sorry you are having to wait until Monday - geez!
