I ended up having my cyst removed yesterday. I didn't tell anyone ahead of time (online or IRL) b/c I didn't want anyone to worry (and since my ex-in-laws ended up asking for yesterday-Sunday with the kids I didn't really have to worry about how I was going to take care of them.) I was lucky enough to be able to have it done on an outpatient basis. I'm at home and I'm in a little bit of pain but they gave me a prescription for Vicodin which I actually had filled (I don't usually get prescriptions for pain meds filled because it always seems like an unnecessary expense) and it seems to work pretty well although it makes me very sleepy. Oh, and before anyone asks I did not drive after the surgery...I took a cab home....my mom was a little upset after I told her b/c I hadn't told her beforehand but she couldn't even get out of her driveway until today since dad hadn't cleared the snow yet, so there was nothing she could have done except worry.)
