Update on my "Upside Down World", Success!!!

I did my 2nd set of interviewing by Skype on Wed. 4/21. I went into it thinking I was interviewing for a High School Special Ed. position and they also offered a 2nd or 3rd grade regular classroom positions also. Be flexible, I kept thinking! THe interview went well and they said they would be making a decision on Thurs. Well, Thurs. came and went with no news. Was a little concerned but needed to be patient. Many little good signs all day on Wed. led me to believe that was a going to be a good day. Well, they emailed me today and offered me a Kindergarten or 5th grade position!! I took the Kindergarten position!! Really excited !!! So much planning to do!!Wheww!!! Hubby is really excited too. We will be off in Early August to the Arctic Ocean!!

So glad all went well. Good luck with those kindergartners! I'm a special education assistant and have spent lots of time in kindergarten classrooms. So neat to see those light bulb moments for children on a daily basis!

Skype is a free program that you download to your computer. It enables you to have a video conference with someone else that also has Skype on their computer. I could see and hear them and they could hear and see me in real time. First time for me but really kind of neat. Ophra does it all the time on her show. It was like being in the room with them.
