For those of you who have been following the story, I got another update from my brother last night.
It's not good news again.
The bone marrow transplant in April was a total failure. She never started producing hemoglobin, and she's not making white blood cells or platelets any longer as well.
She is entering the hospital tomorrow to undergo a round of chemotherapy to kill off whatever bone marrow she has. Then, next week sometime, she will receive another bone marrow transplant. Her brother will be the donor again (poor kid--he has to go through this twice).
The odds of her pulling through after this second procedure are far less favorable than they were for the first one. And it's really the only thing that can be done for her condition.
Thanks for listening. I just don't how much more we can go through.
