UPDATE MagicBand Order Messed Up?

I just logged into My Disney Experience and pulled up my and DD's magic bands that are en route via the Postal service. DD chose blue and her MB picture is of the blue band. I chose purple and my MB picture is of the grey band???? I certainly hope this is just a glitch on the MDE site. I would be disappointed if I received the grey band.

BLTink...It sure does! Purple is my favorite color and Tink is my favorite Disney character. I wanted to do lime green around Mickey and Tink's gold wings on the band. If I get grey, all of my plans are out the window! I'm sitting here now trying to come up with "Plan B" if I do get the grey band.

If purple is so popular they are out, would just just substitute different colors? That doesn't seem right. We were just there last week and I got the purple. Hopefully it's just a glitch and you get it, your plan sounds so cute!

I hope it's just a glitch and you actually get purple when you open the package.

If worse comes to worse, check out Magic my Band on the web. You can get custom stickers to change the color and design of the band. I think they are about $6? We did this for Star Wars weekend last year.

OP -- I really hope this is a fluke and you get your purple band, but if it doesn't you could always use one coat of a purple nail polish all along the grey part of the band. I was able to do this with a sparkly blue and still managed to put decoration layers on top of the first coat to look like the stars and moon on Sorcerer Mickey's hat. I'm not sure what you plan to use to put the lime green and wings on but hopefully it could work out (or won't be needed at all).

Just logged in from home and it shows purple! I won't be 100% convinced until it is in my hands so I will continue to formulate "plan B" just in case. Thanks for everyone's support and keep blowing pixie dust my way!

OP, don't worry just yet. I just checked my current active Magic Bands and my purple one is showing as gray. I have the purple one in my possession (came on Tuesday) and matched the ID numbers. I suspect that there is a glitch in the system. My guess is that you will what you ordered. Will you let's us know what happens?

Email today says my new magic bands are on the way. Pretty sure I ordered purple. MDE shows it as gray. Maybe the web designer hasn't updated the website to show the new color.

mde is pretty accurate, even my custom bands are correct in mde but please report what you end up getting.
