Update first time in Disneyland and VGC

We returned over the weekend from our first time ever in Disneyland. We stayed in a studio 2510 at the VGC. Wow!!! Beautiful. Our balcony overlooked California Adventure. If you are wondering about noise, never bothered us at all. Having a private entrance to California Adventure was great.

I loved being able to walk to everything. We had dinner at Napa Rose, excellent and did the WOC dining package at Ariel's Grotto. The food was very good (and a lot of it) and WOC is a must see. I loved it!! Weather was in the mid to upper 70's.

Thank you to all gave us such great advice. The one thing we noticed was at California Adventure a lot of people were in line for fast passes for WOC and the line at Toy Story was also long. We were able to avoid both of those lines and were able to get so much done, walked on everything.

The DVC at the Grand certainly is Grand!! We were there just a couple of weeks ago and had a great view of DCA as well. Glad to hear your trip was awesome.

How hard was it to book at the VGC? We own at SSR and want to visit Disneyland in October of next year. We have been to Disneyland many times, but have always stayed at a good neighbor hotel. Did you get in at the 7 month mark? Did you get the excat dates you wanted? We love the Grand and have always wanted to stay there!

We so enjoyed our time at VGC. I never thought I would enjoy DL so much!
We book a 2bdrm in March for end June-July.

We are goong this october. Booked a studio right at seven months and got the dates we wanted without issue.

The VGC is our favorite DVC resort.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the villas. We just booked 9 nights in a 1 bedroom for next March at the 7 month window without a problem.

I didn't have any problems booking a studio at 7 months out. We loved the resort and had a geat time.

We just booked a trip for November at SSR. Needed another Disney fix!! We have never stayed there before and are looking forwad to it.

We booked our one bedroom 1 day later than the 7 month mark and had to move our reservation by one day to get it, but that was not a big deal for us.

I took a solo trip to DL in October '09 and it was only one day. I loved it! I want to add on enough points for a EOY or 3rd year trip there. Just not in the cards right now.
