Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Monday, June 9th
Rise and Shine... EPCOT DAY! We were all looking forward to a great day... we slept good and were eager to move once Stitch called. We were to the bus stop a little at 7:30---- and we saw tons of MGM buses that morning, at least 4 before an EPCOT one came. Fortunately we got to EPCOT quick- so quick from POFQ/POR! Hannah and I headed on.... DH walked slow with Emily. We actually were the second family behind the turnstile at EPCOT...so we could be in the shade from the covering. NOTE: If you are there early... realize that at opening lots of turnstiles open... don't get in a long line, start a new one! It certainly worked well for us. DH grumbled it was on the right, farther from the stroller rental spot - oh well. We did however have to rent a stroller today, our MK day we used a day we had left from last trip. So DH needed a two day rental!

I had packed an apple left from Chef Mickey's for me... but as you can see I did not get it.

We did the usual: sunscreen up and look at maps to plan - the little girls don't realize I have a plan already! We also went a little fan crazy....

As the turnstiles opened... Hannah and I walked toward the rope drop by the fountains, DH took Em, so she could ride the stroller right away. Hannah and I were right up front... so fun!

A sweet CM asked if he could take a picture for me of the two of us...

He also asked how many were in our party... I said 4, my husband was getting the stroller with our other little girl. He was so nice... and trying to be nicer I realized- he then talked to another family a ways down the rope... a family of three who were the Family of the Day in the Test Track Car... I think it only fits 3- so I was a little sad since I think we could have been chosen. Too bad he did not know Em was so little!

It was awesome at the front of the rope drop... Hannah got to greet all her friends as they came out for the opening!

Em headed up our way... DH was a bit back with the stroller, but Em was not ready to be friendly.... not yet

Got to love a hug from Mickey to start a day!

So once the family of the day (could it have been us???) took their drive the masses headed to Soarin' / Test Track /Mission Space--- but where should we go?

Yes this is where we headed! And as we walked over there we were by far the first, if not only ones headed that way behind the gang! The CM were happy to see us... and we got a big treat when this picture happened!

The whole gang got together around the girls... and we could not pass up this great opportunity! I absolutely love this shot-- we felt so lucky.... as if a dream had been given to us!

NOTE: They took both photopass and pics on our camera. I have to admit after having my camera problems in May this picture alone made it worth it to have a camera that works.... I would have cried if this had not been taken!

Then we met all the friends one at a time!

Still not sure was Em...

But Minnie was so nice!

Emily finally got in a picture- we have made progress!

and then we found these great guys!

Chip and Dale... so funny because Hannah loved them at nine months... much more than any other character and now Emily was smitten too!

Hannah was attacked...

Pluto was loved too by Emily...

But Goofy is just too big... no way she was coming near him!

NOTE: This is my favorite spot, character wise, two years in a row.... no wait and great background with great characters!
Here is the crowd so far... not too bad!

So after that fun time, which was made better because last year DH went and got Soarin' FPs instead of seeing the characters we headed out, DH now going to get Soarin' FPs and we were going to go over to the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends. We waited for DH and talked to a great CM... super friendly while I snapped a few shots.

Once DH appeared we went in and rode Nemo... Em liked it better this year. I think it is darling... love the music too. We explored until the 9:40 Turtle Talk with Crush show, the first one of the day.

What fun again! Emily had a hard time sitting through it though..


Off we went then to Journey to Imagination... Hannah loves it! She was sad that there is no Figment Character to see anymore next door.

We tried to do Spaceship Earth... long line, 40 minutes- no way! We will try again later!

Then we wandered through Innovations... DH FPs Test Track too before we wandered to World Showcase a little before 11.

Hannah and DH went to ride the Maelstrom...both liked it while Em and I started her mask in Norway's Kidcot spot! Hannah quickly joined, super excited for this fun to begin. She loved her mask last year... and we skipped some spots, so this year I knew she would be persistent about getting all the countries!

It was almost time for our 11:30 lunch when we saw

I was thrilled. Emily loves Donald Duck... and snubbed him at Chef Mickey's but was super thrilled to see him here!

Time to go to Mexico

We rode the boatride first, before checking in... the girls love it. Emily would sit there with her hands up asking "Where is Donald?" throughout! Plus there was no line!

We checked in at 11:30 and had to wait... it had just opened and they were slow to seat, oh well. We roamed the marketplace... and Hannah colored

So.. how would this meal go? What fun would we find as we entered World Showcase? Who would give Emily the kiss of a lifetime? Up next!

Great update!! We skipped the character spot last year, and I don't want to miss it this year! That picture with all the characters is priceless!! I'm glad to hear that Em finally started warming up to the characters. I'm sure they seem intimidating to her!

I'm glad to see you in some pictures! You look great, not huge and pregnant, just perfect!

My keen eyes noticed the Gymbo hair pretties too.....you can't sneak anything past me! LOL

Great update! I looked at all the pictures with my DD. Of course she LOVES them when they are on the TV or a computer screen, but not in real life. LOL

Last time we ate lunch at Mexico, hope yours goes better than ours. Let's just say that our DD didn't enjoy the "mood" lighting.

I so love the character connection there... I highly recommend it! Pluto arrived late, that is why he was not in the picture... oh well! That seemed to be Emily's break through... although I am sad because I have no pictures with her and Mickey.... next time!

As for my size.... yikes now I am a lot bigger!

Yes I have lots of Gymboree Hairthings... Hannah was late like Em to get hair so I am big time into bows and things for hair! Plus that is my second addiction other than WDW- Gymboree... I was in there today!

Em takes her time with people... so why should I be surprised that she did the same with characters. I was glad to get out of the pictures too... I want the ones of the girls!

My girls, esp. Hannah love love love the kidcot! I personally hate the darn Sharpie Markers.... permanent- who in the world would give little ones those markers? I know sharpie is the sponsor.... but come on! However it did once again allow for DH and I to tag team explore the stores and little treasures of WS because they would sit and color!

I just could not believe that picture... all our family and friends think it is awesome too! Of course I still don't have one out in my house- got to get on that! Nor are my pictures in an album yet! I am sure that my girls could not wait for the characters... we rarely do that, but I also knew they would love that and we were in no big hurry at EPCOT!

The tank was a little big in the arms.... so I finally tied it to make it fit better. I loved it though... nice and cool!

Happy Fourth Of July !!!!!!!!

I think that we might have some issues with our neighborhood bike parade since it is supposed to rain. Hopefully we can still do it, the girls would be disappointed, as would I. I hope to finish EPCOT soon... I worked tonight on the scrapbook pages... I got 15 pages done today! I almost am out of all my piles, just a few left until I can do last years WDW trip and this years WDW trip! I think I just might get it done before Luke comes. Enjoy the holiday!

We had a lot of fun at EPCOT... we did seem to waste a few minutes as we waited for WS to open... we were "done" with Future World, other than The Land before 11.

Character Stop worked for us great since we were there early...plus waiting in line is not my girl's speciality... and we had seen a lot of the characters at Chef Mickeys.

I am so close to being caught up on the scrapbook .... just a few pages until I can go to work on last August WDW and this June WDW- I never thought I would get it done.

Hi! I hope you had a great Fourth! I just wanted to tell you that if you have a Walmart in your area to hurry over there -- they are clearing out ALL of their Disney scrapbooking stuff, and it is at rock bottom prices -- like $1.00 for all the stickers, embellishments, and stuff. It was almost completely cleared out already at mine this morning when I went.

A Little off topic:

I am caught up other than our Aug WDW and this past trip in my scrapbooking mania. I am so thrilled... and excited to relive our trips once again!

Notice her wand from Cinderella's Castle! I think it is the first wand that was truly hers... hence she adores it!
