So the surprise wasn't exactly what you were hoping for... You recovered what could have been a grumpy little girl and learned what works best for your kiddos. You gave it the old college try! What luck that you were able to hope on a ME bus and head right to wdw. Lucky. lucky! Love the cute pic of you and the girls on the plane (with baby boy in tummy)

I really enjoyed POFQ when we stayed. What I enjoyed the most was the smallness of it. It really felt quaint in such large WDW. Did you enjoy some beignets? YUMMO!

What a sweet CM for earmarking the front cab for you guys!

Also CM is one of my favorite restaurants. I have always had good food and I sooo enjoy the singing and dancing! Can't wait to read more. Love the details!

I agree POFQ has a quaint feel... unlike any of the other resorts at WDW I have stayed in... I hate to admit that I did not have a beignets...... I found another sweet treat that I enjoyed even better!

Oh my goodness, your girls are sooo cute! Love Em's skeptical faces! Looks like you had a blast at Chef Mickey's! The pics. at POFQ are so cute!

It was a great dinner... I am so pleased by all our meal choices this trip!

We went to the Red's game tonight, DH and I (my parents kept the girls) so no MK report yet. I have uploaded the pictures... so hopefully tomorrow! We are headed to the zoo, we have been having unusually cool weather and want to have some outside fun!

Tonight was GREAT weather for baseball. Enjoy the zoo tomorrow. If I didn't have so much on my to do list I would head there too. My mom bought us season passes last August and we have only gone twice since then.

Sorry about the nasty in the bathroom. Great report of Chef Mickey's. I've been wanting to do that restaurant, so now I know that there's a desert bar I'll be sure to try it.
Congrats on your baby boy. It'll be a whole different experience for you. We have two girls and a boy and my DS is now 14 and 6'3! It's scary to think that he was ever a little baby. I tell him he's starting to look like a dude.

Saturday June 7th- MK


Believe it or not I did get a good night sleep as I dreamed of MK. It is by far my favorite park, and probably my favorite place in the world. I felt so lucky to know we had two full days planned there to get everything done! Plus we had made lunch reservations for the Castle... what more could two princesses want? I was super excited to go there, I think I was 10 last time we ate there!

We arose before our call... DH was ready to go quick and hit the Food Court for some milk for our cereal and we were all dressed and ready for the bus by 7:25. So we watched ample buses come for EPCOT... and finally a MK bus came. There was no one on the bus with us, just another family before we picked up a bus load at Riverside... but still not that crowded. We made it to MK around 8:15 I would guess......and boy it was a long wait. We sunscreened up, took some pictures and waited for the opening show! Mommy also stopped at the bathroom outside the ticket area... a common theme for the day!

And yes.. the fan started to get used!

Sadly there was not an opening with the train and a bunch of the gang... Hannah was disappointed, as was I. There was just confetti and a family and Snow White and someone else... still not sure why!

At this point DH and I felt we had gotten a good park for the day.... there was plenty of room in the ticketed waiting area... lots of Red Shirt groups (it was the park of choice for Gay Days).

So this was the sight as we entered... as you can see not too crowded and we were in the front of the pack.

We headed straight to Dumbo.... around the Castle toward Liberty Square, the side path since the castle was not open to cut through... and we were on the second ride of Dumbo. Yes my girls love it... Em and Hannah both had found it on their maps and were insistant that we ride it!

Pretty empty... how long would it stay that way?

I so love Dumbo... and know someday my sweet girls will be too big to want to ride with me!

As we waited our one turn for Dumbo I realized Ariel was already out.... and I know that the line forms fast... so we quickly went there next, and walked right in! DH went and got FPs for Peter Pan...Score! The guide said it opened at 10- so future summer visitors keep that in mind!

Emily loved Ariel... and Ariel was great. She noticed the girls had fishes and seahorses on their shirts and was super kind! Emily asked her where Sebastian was which cracked her and us up! Next up....Winnie the Pooh, Em was not a fan, then over to

Again Em was not a huge fan.

At this we split apart, Hannah and I went to do Snow White and DH took Emily on It's a Small World. We knew we had enough time to get to Toontown before it opened at 10. Hannah and I did Snow White twice, Winnie the Pooh again and then went to meet Em and DH and arrived as they got off. We then headed to Toontown.... which had opened early... we were there at 9:50.

We knew where to go first: Goofy's Barnstormer! I was pretty sure Emily was 35 inches... and she was! So off she went on her first rollercoaster ride!

Hannah knew that Em riding meant she had to go by herself... but that was okay!

I was a bit sad... I have never rode this ride... and once again no ride for mom!

Then after ride one, which Em loved I booked it over to Buzz Lightyear to get our next set of FPs.... and met them as they got off. No wait for Goofy!

We then hit the playground for a few minutes.

and on to Minnie's house for some fun!

My girls loved exploring all her talking gadgets!

Then off to Mickey's house!

We did not see any characters back there... we then headed off for more rides!

Next stop the Teacups!

I passed on that!

Then we met an old friend!

Em was much more into Alice than the furry friends from the night before!

Then we cut across... past where Belle's storytime is to see these fine ladies!

They were beyond hysterical! We told them we were eating with Cinderella later... and they told us how she was an awful cook, just really great at their part!


Where to next... we had enjoyed our favorites in Fantasyland, visited Toontown and met some friends all by before 11. Lunch was at 1:30! (And I need to upload the rest of the pictures... sorry!)

Holy cow! You guys got a lot done in a short time. That is awesome! My DD loved the face characters as well. I can't say the same about the others though!

The girls look so cute and so excited! You can see the happiness in all of your photos. You look awesome as well.

what a great morning at MK!!! smart move going to fantasyland first. that area fills up so quickly - we always go there first if we get there at opening! and what a brave girl hannah is for riding by herself!

alice is my favorite character besides peter pan. if i could play any character at WDW it would be her. okay....actually it would be maleficent. but she doesn't do meets with the guests (only at halloween) so alice would be better i think. she's so fun! and getting to hang out with the mad hatter all day must be pretty cool.

we really wanted to meet lady tremaine and the stepsisters, but both times we saw them this past trip the line was horrendous. maybe next time!

What great pictures! Sounds like you had a great morning at MK! We were there atht evening and it was very nice. I think most people are scared off by the "red shirts" so we always try to hit MK that day!

Love the stepsister! I've got to try and find them.

HI there love the update... your girls are soo cute.. it cracks me up that Em is probably taller than my 4 yr old... Emma loved riding goofy, since there was still so much she couldn't do b/c of not being 40 inches... She too was super excited to be able to ride Goofy!

What a great morning!! Sorry they didn't do the full opening show. I didn't realize that wasn't a "given" every day. But you got to do so much, that is probably a distant memory. The girls cheeks look rosy - combo of excitement and heat, I bet! They really are adorable.
