Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Welcome home and a great start to your TR!

Too bad about Hannah being too tired to understand the surprise! :(

You scored on your room location!!!

Sorry we didn't run into you at POFQ! We were in building 3 so pretty close to you! Seeing your pics of the pool makes me want to be back there this morning!!!

Precious pictures of the girls! I'm glad the slide worked out so well. I know they had a blast! I look forward to seeing much more and hearing all about the fun. We'll be there in less than two weeks, so your pictures can keep me going until then.

Yeah your first post on your TR! I love little Emily's legs. It's the only time in life when people think your chubby little legs are cute;) My DD had the chubbiest cheeks, like chipmunks. I can't wait to hear about dinner!
Hannahs' reaction to your "happy" news might have made it on America's Funniest Home Videos. That's hilarious that she freaked out. Who knew?:confused3

Poor Hannah! Such a rough start to her morning. I can totally see suprising my kids backfiring just like that. I am glad the rest of the day went better for you guys! The plane ride looks like it went well. I keep looking for things to keep the boys busy on the plane. Any suggestions? It sounds like you had a wonderful location at POFQ. What did you think of the resort? We are staying at ASMo this trip and I am bummed because I think my boys would love the water slide as much as your girls did!

I can't wait to read about how dinner with Mickey went!

:wave2: Hi there. I just found you and read about your first day. Sounds great! I love the picture of Emily at the top of the slide! Talk about no fear! She must have learned that from big sis. :goodvibes Looking forward to hearing about more of your adventures and I'm off to catch up on the pre-trip stuff I missed so I have all the backstory!

Just found your trip report. Your girls are absolutely adorable. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am looking forward to more of your trip report; so keep them coming. :thumbsup2

Yay! Great pictures! Sorry about Hannah, I know you were SO excited to surprise her! Great room location at POFQ and how GREAT that your room was ready! I can't wait to hear more!!!:goodvibes

What a great start. Poor Hannah! She was so confused. It looks like she perked up on the airplane though!

That is awesome that your room was ready. We got lucky this year too and I really believe it made all the difference! I'm missing POFQ looking at your pictures. Can't wait to hear about dinner!

Great start! Sorry aout the surprise confusion! Great pictures of POFQ! I want to go back there so badly!!

OMG great start!! I love the pool shots! Tell me, do you use a special underwater camera or is it just a case? I love the one of Emily before she gets on the slide!

Hee hee, I'm sorry the suprise didn't exactly go well. Sounds like you were having a great time already. Your girls are absolutely adorable! Why were they wearing life jackets and the blue thing? What are those by the way?

Well, ANYWAYS, I'm staying at POFQ (I keep thinking Pirates of the French Quarter, :) lol.) From July 1st to te 9th. The pool looks fabulous! I only have 16 days!!! But I'm in Mexico, so I can't start packing or looking for crap yet :( Well, I'm looking forward to the rest of your TR in anticipation.

great start!! I love how you told the story along with the pictures and they are great!

our first 4x on property was at POfq..you can say it became our first WDW home and like your DDs my brother and I rode that slide over and over and over again. I always said how the pool was so big...now my dad tells me the pool really isnt that big, I was just really young..not such a magical moment dad!!!!

For your older DD it will be great for her to have memories there. My first real WDW memories were at that resort and I can remember the pool and I always had to stop at the gift shop when we checked in. Every night my dad and I would walk to the food court and he would get me a little milk and a cookie and eat our cookies and drink our milk by the pool...wow, where have the years gone!!

Sorry for the long post..I'm just excited for your TR and can't wait to read more!

It was a great resort... our girls loved the theme and the slide. Plus they could walk it comfortably. POR is just to big for their little legs...as are the other moderates IMO.

yay!!!!!!! you've begun!

so funny about hannah and the surprise. you just never know with kids! it's like luke on my TR.....disney world's not a surprise!!!!

what a great, non-stressful arrival day! :thumbsup2 can't wait to hear about chef mickey's.

Our trip was so great I kinda of can live with her not so great reaction.... she spent the whole trip telling people she got to go to Disney for a whole week when she thought she was going to run jump and play.

Our arrival day was perfect.... getting settled in early and swimming was great since the pool water up here was not warm yet!

Yippee!! Reading your 1st day's report has made my night. The girls are so cute!! :wizard:

Glad you enjoyed!

great report!:goodvibes

Thanks so much!

Hooray....you started your trippie! Its like when a favorite author publishes a new book! I always wondered if I should "suprise" the kids with a trip.....but you're right, they love the countdown so much, that I think it adds so much more to the trip. So no suprises for us either! Plus, don't think I could pull it off with 10 year old ds!

I doubt we ever try a surprise again...

Great Start :thumbsup2 I love the new picture in your signature :)

I just had to tease with that picture... I so love it too!

Precious pictures of the girls! I'm glad the slide worked out so well. I know they had a blast! I look forward to seeing much more and hearing all about the fun. We'll be there in less than two weeks, so your pictures can keep me going until then.

So lucky your trip is soon! The girls had so much fun at the pool... I am glad they had a lot of time to swim. It makes me sad to hear kids at WDW walk by the pool and ask to swim and their parents say no!

Welcome home and a great start to your TR!

Sorry we didn't run into you at POFQ! We were in building 3 so pretty close to you! Seeing your pics of the pool makes me want to be back there this morning!!!

I kept looking for your tink swimsuit!

can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

Thanks... I promise to be timely in getting this done...

Hannah was a total treat on the flight... she colored. Em ate some snacks but boy she was ansy....I like those water color books with the special pens... they lots of time have them cheap at TJ Maxx...

I think ASMo would be a fun one for kids. I love the theme!

Em has the baby look....many times during our trip people A) could not believe her vocabulary and what she said and B) how old she is.... they guessed younger by looks.... I can't for the life of me figure out how her thighs stay so large.... she swims kicking the entire time!

:wave2: Hi there. I just found you and read about your first day. Sounds great! I love the picture of Emily at the top of the slide! Talk about no fear! Em has no fear.... she is much more daring than Hannah. She so loved the slide... but suprisingly there are some things this trip she was not a fan of!

Just found your trip report. Your girls are absolutely adorable. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am looking forward to more of your trip report; so keep them coming. :thumbsup2

I think baby Luke is what is keeping my post vacation blues away.... we have a lot to get ready for this summer. Plus having an entire summer ahead with the girls is hard to be sad about! Thanks for joining in!

Yay! Great pictures! Sorry about Hannah, I know you were SO excited to surprise her! Great room location at POFQ and how GREAT that your room was ready! I can't wait to hear more!!!:goodvibes

I think the way you surprised your boys is what I should have done.... and would do next time! Our room location was top ... we really feel we were closer to the "action" than we were at the Wilderness Lodge!

What a great start. Poor Hannah! She was so confused. It looks like she perked up on the airplane though!

It took her a little while... but by the airport she was thrilled! POFQ was great for us this trip, we are sad we will be too big of a family for it later!

Great start! Sorry aout the surprise confusion! Great pictures of POFQ! I want to go back there so badly!!

We sure enjoyed the resort!

OMG great start!! I love the pool shots! Tell me, do you use a special underwater camera or is it just a case? I love the one of Emily before she gets on the slide!

It is just my new camera... the slide had some great spots to take pictures alongside it... so I had fun taking them!

Love the report, can't wait to read more!!

Thanks!

Hannah became a bit of a wimp at the pool.... a little scared of not being able to touch.... probably due to not much swimming this season yet.... so she felt more comfortable in a jacket, which allowed her some more freedom too. Emily is wearing the swim belt we have from home that we use at the Y for swim lessons when they are little. She can really navigate well in it.... it allows her to move more freely than water wings!

Just found your trip report can't wait to find out how it went. Count me in.

Congrats on the news IT'S A BOY!!!!!!! We have two boys ages 8 & 2 They are lots of fun.

Good idea :thumbsup2 Water wings are SUCH a hassle! Kids don't even learn how to swim correctly at ALL with them. Water belt... When I have kids someday, I'll remember this name. Good idea!::yes::

Sounds like a great start to a great trip!!! So sad we didn't see you, but I can't wait to hear all about your adventures!!!!! Don't forget to rest up too! Love the pics! Talk again soon! Jen
