Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Just when you think you don't have to think about one aspect of planning.....

I for sure had decided to rent a stroller but after reading here about the cost per day for a double ($27) there is no way I am doing that. I do have one day left on last year's ticket....so I might use that for our EPCOT day and then just take our single one for Emily for MK days. We have a double stroller, but I know DH would not go for taking that. Perhaps we will take a single and an umbrella that Hannah can use if we need to. This really stinks!

We haven't rented a stroller since the trip when my oldest was 11 months. Our youngest has just turned four and we wanted a stroller last summer that would be strictly for WDW, the zoo, etc. He isn't in one any other time and I didn't want to spend a fortune. We got a maclaren volo from Target and I LOVE it!! I don't know why I never bought one sooner. It is light and easy to carry on the monorail and trams. I can't believe that an umbrella stroller can handle like this one. It has normal small umbrella stroller wheels but it can handle the tracks on main street with ease. My husband and I both like pushing it and he is 6'5".

I can't believe the new stroller rates! I agree with KLJ, the Volo is a great stroller!

I was shocked when I read about the stroller price increase! I saw where one poster on another thread mentioned that it is now about the same price as a rental car! :scared1: That's ridiculous!

Good luck with deciding what to do!

Ugggh! What are they blaming the price increase on....the cost of gas??

Seriously, I can't imaging doing the parks without a stroller for little ones. Sounds like the umbrella stroller (above) might be a good investment.

Big News... not necessarily WDW news....we found out today that we are having a little BOY! We are all very excited, and now as I told DH we need to princess away this trip because next time we will have a little boy to experience the World with! I promise some trip news soon, just a crazy week with school and moving! Plus the weather has been sooooo nice, lots of outside time!

Congratulations!!!!! That is wonderful!:darth: Now you can have all new reasons to love Disney! Pirates, Star Wars, Cars, Toy Story.......Now if they would only make a true BOY character meal:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

CONGRATS!!! I am sure you all are riding high on the excitement of everything right now!! Here's sending you happy baby thoughts and blessings for a safe pregnancy and delivery of your bouncy baby boy!!!

Thanks for all the warm wishes! We are still pretty excited at the surprise! DH leaves Sunday for Anaheim... yes I am sad he is headed to Disney Land.... and we are not with him. He has a conference there, I would be shocked if he comes back without some goodies from DTD! Someday he is taking me, but with the school, move, baby... not the right time. Plus it is hard flight from OH.

But while he is away.... I need to get some planning done as well as go through our WDW stuff box in the basement. I think I put things from our last trip, spray bottles, ponchos, etc in there. So I am starting to think about packing

I also recorded the Samantha Brown thing tonight... there is a new series now of her shows right? Got to watch that soon!

:goodvibes We watched Samantha Brown, too! It was fun and a great way to get in the WDW mood! :goodvibes
