**UPDATE 12-29-05, POSTS #1 & #98**Need my DIS friends tonight

Keeping your family in my prayers :grouphug: - my brother battled this disease and is in remission - hang in there ! :wizard:

Prayers and PD to you and your DH.

My DF was treated in 1992 and lived another 11 years with no further problems. My prayers are that they have caught it at a treatable stage and all will be well.

Sending prayers and hugs and pixie dust to you and your DH and your family! Hope that you get to go on your Dec trip...will be be there for Mousefest at all? There is breakfast at Kona's at 7:30 am on Dec 4...for about 40 of us and you are so welcome to come join!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and keep your optimistic outlook!

My dad has had prostate cancer twice, as well as lung cancer...he turned 77 today and has been cancer-free for about 10 years now. Here's lots of prayers and pixie dust that the cancer hasn't spread and minimal treatment is needed. :grouphug:

Sending you and your family lots of prayers and Aloha :grouphug:

I knew I could count on all of you to help dry the tears. Prayer is powerful, as is the support of others. My own prayers at Thanksgiving services will be in gratitude as well as petition. Thank you, kind DISers.

My thoughts are with you and DH. I know how difficult it is to be strong for a DH with a serious illness. Stay positive!

My uncle got prostate cancer when he was 57, he's 69 now and had radiotherapy in May 2005. He's doing OK at the moment but it's always a worry. I hope everything goes well for your DH... you look like a lovely family. I'll be praying for you when I go to bed tonight.

I sent a pm, but I did want to add something to be grateful for. We have very sadly learned that my DH needs open heart surgery in the next two weeks. He is young - 43, and we have two small children. I am pretty much alone on this bcs we came from bad families and found each other and made a beautiful family. My family, tho far away, has offered to help and my mom is coming back. His family hasn't even called us after they got the news. To say my heart is breaking is an understatement. Not to complain, but my life has been painful (full of loss and tragedies) up to this point, and this is devastating.

But, this is what I want to say. I thank God for the wonderful family memories Dsney & DVC gave us. Like all of you, there are so many joyous memories of time spent together there - all of it magic. I thank all of you from the boards for all of the advice you gave us to make these trips wonderful.

If the worse happens, my kids have the best memories of their father at a place he loved the most. Through his hard work, their father also gave his family a vacation for the rest of our lives. At least we had three years of marvelous vacations. If all goes well, we will be on a Disney cruise in June.

God bless all of you this holiday season, and hold your loved ones closely.

So sorry to hear of your news. I hope everything goes well-take care and Happy Thanksgiving.
