Found out today that DH's prostate cancer has returned. CT and bone scans are scheduled for Friday. Meet with Dr. to discuss results and options next week. The best case scenario will mean 8 weeks of radiation, 5 days/week. Can't even think about worse scenarios (metastatic cancer).
We may still take the December 4 trip (if radiation is the plan, he could start when we get back). Hopefully we WON'T be taking the January trip because radiation will be doable. Unfortunately both of these trips (like most of our trips) involve other people who really don't want to go without us.
I hate to post such a black cloud, but I'm trying to keep strong in front of DH and just needed to let out the pain somewhere. Thanks for any prayers you could send our way.
P.S. Don't forget to be especially grateful for the good health of your loved ones this Thanksgiving.

The CT and bone scans did not show anything
so the doctors will do one more test to try to determine where the cancer cells are. After reading this test we will proceed with radiation if the cells do not appear outside of the prostate area. Since the test won't be for another 10 days, we WILL go to see Mickey Dec. 4 - 9!!!! If you will be there also, you will recognize us. We will be the ones glowing with gratitude for all the prayers and good wishes and the chance to once again celebrate life in the manner we most love: WDW with family.
To all who have sent prayers: may the blessings you have shared be returned to you a hundredfold. (And keep 'em coming!)

Bob will begin his 7½ weeks of radiation on Jan. 9. There is one lymph node that is outside of the area to be treated which MAY be cancerous, but we will have to wait to see. Overall we are very hopeful that all of the wonderful prayers from our family and friends (like YOU!!) will mean a complete recovery. We are so grateful that we were able to have a wonderful December trip and we have just changed our January trip with friends to an April trip! We were able to get 2 BWV standard 1 bedrooms today and are waitlisted for BW views. Having these ressies to look forward to will help us get through treatments and some unpleasant side effects. Many thanks AGAIN to all who have shown care and sent prayers and pixie dust our way. I guess I will now be adding a new counter to my signature
