UPD: 07-17! A Princess, a Tinker Fairy, and an Artist! - A Princess Half Marathon TR!

Yay, finally have time to update! Might even try to post a little about Stormy's party too! (it was so cute, hehe)

After the Great Movie Ride we had FP+ for Star Tours, yaaay! Since Stormy couldn't go on this one, we each used our FP+ individually and got a rider swap each time, so we got to ride twice each, which probably took us about an hour and a half, between all the swapping and line waiting.

IMG_0707_zps0e4947b7.jpg

IMG_0708_zps3dd1454a.jpg

I never noticed there were lights on these guys.

IMG_0712_zps92ac7155.jpg

I departed from Gate E both times, and the trips were basically the same, except the second time I was the rebel spy that was being transported! Ehehehe! That was awesome.

IMG_0715_zpscd069748.jpg

Stormy playing with the cracks in the wall while waiting for Daddy.

IMG_0719_zps57ab6488.jpg

Next up was Muppet Vision 3D! Stormy loved it! He's really into Sesame Street and ended up loving Muppet Show too, so enjoyed Muppet Vision.

IMG_0724_zpsaf168e3d.jpg

After Muppet Vision, we went to Starring Rolls Cafe to get a snack. But they were closed. Noooooo! So we went to the shop right next door. I got a cool little Cheshire cake pop. It was chocolate, covered in sugar sprinkles (my favorite!) Gonna be getting more of these, next time I go back.

IMG_0727_zps8fbb0e1f.jpg

Stormy got a gingerbread man cookie. I loved it, because it wasn't overly sweet, so I didn't feel bad letting him have the whole thing. Yay, treats!

Next up, we went to my favoritest ride ever, Tower of Terror! We each had a FP+ for ToT, and since Stormy couldn't ride this one as well, I used my FP+ and got a rider swap for Baloo. Before we could use the second FP+, it was time for Fantasmic!

So we had used our FP+ top tier for Fantasmic, because you were guaranteed a spot (provided you showed up on time), but it didn't give you a GOOD seat (wish I'd known.) So we were all the way to the left, about halfway down. Oh well. It's still fun!

IMG_0756_zps2cf2ef95.jpg

I love this shot of the snake with her laser eyes. I had one right before where the head had turned towards us just as I took the picture and it basically blinded my camera.

IMG_0765_zpse0299609.jpg

Yay! Good wins!

After the show let out, we retrieved our stroller (nightmare...) and accidentally took the path back to the front of the park, so we had to hoof it all the way back to Tower of Terror, for our second time on the ride!

IMG_0773_zpseb19e51f.jpg

I wait until dark for ToT pictures. Totally better that way!

IMG_0774_zpse713ee6e.jpg

So pretty! And they also make me think of some sort of attack plant...

IMG_0733_zps9e31d1f8.jpg

Ahhhh!
I love thrill rides, but good luck catching me doing the hands in the air thing, haha! Nope, nope, nope!

IMG_0739_zpsec60603a.jpg

It seems me and Baloo should have been on opposite rides. Nearly everyone put their hands up for mine, and almost no one did for his!

Next it was (super late) dinner time. We'd already found out that Studio Catering Co. was closed for the night. We found food at the shops outside of Fantasmic, which seemed to be the only ones in the park to stay open past 9pm.

We went to Rosie's All-American Cafe (afterwards we noticed Fairfax Fare, which had a Macaroni and Cheese and Truffle Oil Hot Dog, nuts! Sounds delicious. That's on our list for next time!).

IMG_0768_zps85a9593d.jpg

I decided on an angus hamburger, it'd been a bit since I'd had one. It was delicious, but I don't know if it was because it was good, or because I REALLY wanted a burger.

IMG_0769_zps14285ce2.jpg

Baloo got chicken strips, that he shared with Stormy. Stormy is all about chicken, so he loved it. They were pretty typical chicken strips, though.

IMG_0770_zpsfa0f0591.jpg

For the life of me, I'm not sure what our desserts where. Some sort of chocolate pudding and I -think- banana pudding. The custard-y desserts all sort of started running together. They were all tasty, haha!

IMG_0766_zps441b0402.jpg

Stormy got a "Mickey Check Meal" Power Pack Lunch. Cutest. Box. Ever. I saved it, to hopefully cut it apart and use in a scrapbook or something.

IMG_0767_zps3ad72b71.jpg

Inside the box was carrots, apple slices, goldfish, yogurt, and a nutrigrain type bar. He ate basically everything. It's a pretty good value, although we like to have him eating a meat with dinner too (which is why we gave him the chicken strip with it).

IMG_0781_zps5327ffd2.jpg

After dinner we stopped and chatted with a lady from MI, who was selling the light up toys (which we got for Stormy). She is a snowbird, who comes down to Florida every winter and works at Disney when she does. I think I found my future calling!

IMG_0778_zps4d10f267.jpg

Stopped in the shops on the way back up to the gate. I was running low on souvenir money, otherwise I probably would have gotten these ears. They were so cute and 20's-y! Love. Looking at the clothes and shoes behidn me, I could have had a ball in this store! Ooooh, money. This is also my Dr. Facilier outfit. I had little skull earrings on, but they're impossible to see, haha.

IMG_0809_zps1b2b08e6.jpg

Before we left for the evening, we were able to make it into One Man's Dream (which was closed last time. I was really tired and wanted to call it a night, but Baloo remembered how disappointed I was that they were closed and said he'd do some baby wrangling so I could see it). It was worth it to stick around, I loved all the memorabilia and dioramas and displays they had. So much fun! And after watching all the extras on our 101 days of Disney movies, I recognized a lot of stuff that was in the displays, which was pretty cool.

IMG_0786_zpsd97a5269.jpg

One of my favorite Disney history lessons was the Multiplane camera.

IMG_0782_zps527ae490.jpg

Sorcerer's Hat all lit up!

IMG_0810_zps0b91eb6a.jpg

Last shot of Indy.

IMG_0780_zps71e2ea42.jpg

Min and Bills Dockside Diner! Hollywood Studios is so pretty at night! (Aren't all the parks??)

With that, our Hollywood Studios day had come to a close! Good night, Hollywood Studios! Until next time!

Oh I am so nervous about your Fantasmic FP+. We have it reserved for our next trip.

I cannot believe you like TOT! I cannot ride that one. I hate free falls. I LOVE the Aerosmith ride though. I could ride that one a hundred time!

Real life update!

On Monday, Stormy turned 2! :scared1: He had a really big day!

Before his birthday party we were a few towns over for my cousin's wedding, and then since everyone was already there, the next day my mom's side of the family threw a little birthday party for him. My grandma took us all out to eat at a Chinese buffet (it's pretty blah, but she and grandpa love it. Baloo and I are a little spoiled with super delicious Chinese food, so we usually just grin and bear it. We must have hit it at a good time this time, because on Sunday it wasn't half bad).

IMG_1002_zps9e7d5c91.jpg

This was Stormy's fortune. I thought it was funny cuz it's fairly accurate, huh? I mean, not much else is going to be more important to a 2 year old...

After we went back to my grandparents house for presents!

IMG_1004_zps7bd44013.jpg

Baloo's face = EVERYTHING. :rotfl:

IMG_1006_zpsaffb171e.jpg

It's a Cookie!

IMG_1015_zps82bf675c.jpg

This ended up being the fan favorite of the night. It's a keyboard shaped like a cat head. There is a setting for "Meow" on the keyboard. IT MEOWS WHEN YOU PLAY IT. OMG.
I'm going to regret asking for this for him...

IMG_1262_zps684fac80.jpg

This was a decoration and his gift from last year. I thought it'd be cute to set them up heading towards the rest of the decorations.

IMG_1263_zps3f02f0fe.jpg

This years theme was Nautical! (Last years was Owl/Woodland. Nautical is soooo much easier!)

IMG_1264_zpscb260cba.jpg

This year's present from us. A shiny art desk!

IMG_1265_zpsd350c055.jpg

The photo books were a big hit! my brother in law didn't know you could make them, so he was super impressed, and thought they were awesome.

IMG_1268_zps208db0b2.jpg

Anchor cupcake cake! It's a good thing I took this picture, because basically as soon as we sat down, one of Baloo's friend took a cupcake. Who does that?? :rotfl: I thought it was standard birthday etiquette to leave the cake alone until the kid had blown out the candles! Guess I need to lock it up next time.

IMG_1270_zpsb4138f5e.jpg

IMG_1274_zpsee4110cf.jpg

IMG_1277_zps3fd3f7cb.jpg

I have lots of close up pictures, but I don't want to post a zillion pictures, haha!

The food had cutsie names: "Krispie Starfish" (rice krispie stars), "Fish and Chips" (Goldfish crackers and potato chips), East India Trading Co. Iced Tea (hehe!), "Bait" (Swedish fish), etc.

It was hot as heck out, and Stormy got a little overheated. We decided to speed up the present opening and cake candle thing so he could go inside and take a nap (ahha, that didn't happen. He did his presents, got his cake, guzzled down some water and then played for the next few hours).

IMG_1295_zps4ad1181c.jpg

He got lots of presents! This was my favorite. A learning to tell time Owl. <3 One of my best friends made it for him. Her son is about a month older than Stormy, so we mostly went through pregnancy and such together. Just wish she lived closer, the two boys get along really well.

IMG_1301_zpsbe31151c.jpg

One of Baloo's friends got Stormy a Transformers card with stickers. STICKEEEERS!!!

IMG_1306_zps8a74d129.jpg

Lastly, Cake tiiiiiime! He reeeallly wanted to touch the candle. Really really really. Couldn't get him to blow out the candle, though. Maybe next year.

So that was Stormy's 2nd bday! Baloo asked if we could not go all out next year. I told him heck nooooo. :rotfl2: We only really do one real gathering a year, so I'm gonna go all out for it.

Next year will probably be Disney or Sesame Street. :D

I cannot believe you like TOT! I cannot ride that one. I hate free falls. I LOVE the Aerosmith ride though. I could ride that one a hundred time!

I thought I'd seen that they changed it so that FP+ Fantasmic people have a special section now, but I don't know that for sure.

I love Aerosmith too! We didn't get to that this time around, boo. But yeah, I lovelovelove Tower of Terror. I think it's the whole Twilight Zone story that goes with it. And it's just a gorgeous structure. <3

looks like a fun evening at HS! the Cheshire cat cake pop matches your voodoo man outfit perfectly!

we stopped in that sweet shop too. I loved all the cute stuff they make in there!

stormy's party looked so cute! the nautical theme was a great idea! you know, we had someone do that with the cupcakes at a party once too. it took a lot for me to not be all "hello? WHAT are you doing?"

you may have already learned this, but just a tip with that cat piano. we had the same one, and yes the meowing was fun at first, but worse then that, if you don't shut it off, it makes noises at you until you do. it was super late one night and I kept hearing this meow sound but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. while I was wandering around trying to figure it out, I kept hearing another noise. I guess it's supposed to sound like a purr or snoring, but it sounded like something growling at me. it may or may not have been FREAKING me out..... just a heads up! :rotfl:

Happy late Birthday Stormie. I loved his party and the number collages are such a great idea!

That cake pop looks like so much fun at DHS! And I am a burger type girl...so yummy looking. Looks like you found a lot for Stormie and both you and Baloo to enjoy!

I didn't know it did that, thanks for the warning, lol! So far it hasn't been left on for long periods of time yet, so we hadn't discovered that yet. I probably woulda freaked out too if it had happened to me.

It felt like we did lots of stuff and nothing that day. It was pretty relaxed and full at the same time, I liked it. <3 The only thing I was sad we forgot/didn't get to was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. He would have loved it. Next year, though!

About to start working on an update. :D Final park day, nooooo!

Also have some fun pictures from the weekend, we went to Mackinac Island and I ran a 10k, it was my birthday (which is at the end of the month, lol!)

Our final park day started out much earlier than the previous ones. We wanted to pack our day as full as we could!

IMG_0812_zps1c0a288c.jpg

This was too cute. Stormy is all about imitating us, so when we go to brush our teeth, Stormy insists he has to as well (Yay!). So here's Daddy and Stormy getting ready for the day! (And Mommy in the shot too, woo!)

We certainly didn't get there for rope drop, but we were there by 10 or earlier (I forget for sure). The first thing I wanted to check out was the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom thing I had seen the first MK park day.

IMG_0817_zps36864724.jpg

It's pretty cute! You get a starter pack of cards and a map, and Merlin debriefs you on your mission. If I'd had more time, or if we hadn't already had a plan for the day, I can see this as a really neat way to explore the park and spend the day. Our first location was Adventureland, unfortuantely, and we were headed for Tomorrowland for the start of the day. Ah well! Maybe next time!

We made a beeline for Tomorrowland, we had FP+ for Space Mountain and were going to do whatever we could before the FP+.

There was no wait at:
IMG_0818_zps08ef709d.jpg

Monsters Inc! We headed inside. I know the jokes are basically all the same (and I laughed a little less this time around), but the "That guy!" jokes are so funny to me, and I don't know why. I keep hoping one day Baloo will be "that guy"

IMG_0824_zpsc73f2fed.jpg

Next up, Buzz only had a 15 minute wait! This was amazing, so we jumped in the line, knowing it'd be jam packed soon (and sure enough, as we left the ride, it was at 45 mins! Yikes!)

IMG_0825_zpsb2116780.jpg

Soooooo, I might have stacked the deck and given myself an unfair advantage. This is what happens when a toddler is on your lap. Mwahahah! To be fair, I need a handicap against Baloo, seasoned Video-Gamer.

IMG_0826_zpsd6fcf360.jpg

Only picture the whole trip I almost bought. If Stormy had been doing anything cute, Disney would have gotten (more of) my money.

It was time for our Space Mountain FP+! We had decided that even though we could have ridden it twice (once each via FP and once each via a rider swap, like we had done for Star Tours and Tower of Terror), we didn't want to take up that much time, and so I swapped one of our FP for a Big Thunder Mountain FP+, and we just rode SM once each (with one FP and one Rider Swap).

IMG_0827_zpsb2aca707.jpg

So apparently my group and I were all bored...(I promise I wasn't!)
Also, why is this the ONLY picture preview with text over it? Weird.

We skipped Stitch's Great Escape because we were going to have to Rider Swap, and we'd already decided that rider swap was really only worth it with FP+. We also skipped Carousel of Progress because we were pretty sure Stormy would make that unbearable. And then we skipped Astro Orbiter because it had about a 35 min wait, too long for Stormy and I was antsy to get on to Fantasyland!

First up:
IMG_0830_zpsb1d1cbb4.jpg

Tea Cups!!

IMG_0835_zpsca247011.jpg

I dunno what's going on Dad, but I think I like it!

IMG_0838_zps53da7a2f.jpg

Changed my mind, guys... (I have a video of him just sitting there...Staring. I only taped for 10 seconds because he wasn't doing anything, but I wish I'd kept it going. Cuz he did it. The ENTIRE ride. Seems he doesn't do spinning. Sorry Stormy! If there's a way to upload videos, I'll totally upload that, it's still pretty cute.)

I was so geeked to see the new Dumbo set up, and I knew Stormy would loooove it! It took us a good 20 mins to get our pager, but we finally did.

IMG_0839_zpsa3328cfa.jpg

IMG_0841_zps11ddb5e1.jpg

And Stormy went craaazy!

IMG_0845_zps3e83379e.jpg

Best evah!

And theeeeen....We were called for our turn and had to drag him away kicking and screaming...literally.

IMG_0850_zpsf69cc750.jpg

Not as cool as the playground, Mom...

IMG_0851_zps68783430.jpg

Parental Selfie!

Playing around Casey Jr.

IMG_0859_zpsfc4b603f.jpg

It was almost 1 by now, and we had the bestest FP coming up.

Be Our Guest Lunch FP! Eee! We'd already eaten dinner there, now we got to see how it changed for lunch (It's a pretty impressive set up). The wait for BOG lunch was...well, we couldn't be sure. The normal line ran from the area where they take the orders to over the bridge and just past it.

We walked right by that whole line and our order was taken in less than 5 minutes. I have to say, I felt a liiittle guilty about that. All other FP+, you're sort of separated from the normal wait line, but for BOG, you basically just go "oh hey guys...yeah, s'cuse me while I walk by you...ok" I tried very hard not to make eye contact.

This'll be split up a bit. I'll have all the food pics for the end of this post, then the inside of the Castle pics on the next.

When we had BOG Dinner, we met Beast in a room adjacent to the main room, and it had these weird machines that almost looked like they could be games or something. Turns out, they're kiosks for order taking. Shoulda seen that coming!

After they take your order, they give you a neat rose thing. I've heard a bunch of different things, that it's how they bring you your food and that it's actually your MB that they track. So I dunno if they actually do anything, but Stormy was having a ball with them.

IMG_0863_zps498db579.jpg

We ended up with 3 because we'd ordered lunch using our Dining Plan, a meal for Stormy, using cash, and Snacks from our Plan, which apparently need to be done separate from lunch credits on the dining plan. Ordering was a bit of a thing...

I don't have much to elaborate on for the food, so it'll mostly be pictures of what we got and what it was. It was all AMAZING. I think it was one of, if not my favorite, meal of the trip. I much preferred the Lunch to the Dinner.

IMG_0864_zps94b8283f.jpg

Baloo used a snack credit (we were being super picky with these, so it was the last park day and we had 4 left! One was to be used for Tie-Dye cheesecake, but that still left 3) and got the French Onion soup. So much cheeeeese! Yummy. I'm not a fan of onions/french onion soup, but it was delish.

IMG_0865_zps3f594b9a.jpg

Another snack credit purchase, I got the Potato Leek soup. Also nummy, really good texture.

IMG_0869_zps97636487.jpg

Stormy got "Lumiere's De-Light" - Seared Mahi Mahi with finger salad and peach applesauce. Um, Mahi Mahi for a TODDLER? We were almost positive that we were throwing away $8, but he ended up devouring the fish, inhaling the applesauce and chewing up the veggies. Disney magic, I guess, haha. (It was quite good. I tried the mahi mahi before he got to it, and it was plain basic fish, but it was cooked REALLY well. REALLY REALLY well.)

IMG_0867_zpsa0c43cb4.jpg

Baloo got: Braised Pork - slow-cooked pork with vegetables and bacon served with mashed potatoes and green beans jardiniere
Stormy is a fan of green beans, so he stole a lot of Daddy's "mean means", and I don't really like pork much, or cooked peppers (love raw peppers, though, Nomnom!). The potatoes were decent and Baloo said the whole dish was really good.

IMG_0866_zps43a94375.jpg

You should have expected this. More fish! I got the: Tuna Nicoise Salad - Warm seared tuna steak with chilled green beans, potatoes, olives, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, and hard boiled eggs
Seared tuna is one of my absolute favorite dishes. Ahh! Can't get enough of it! I forget the dressing, but it was fantastic. And there doesn't look like there's much tuna, but I was able to have a good sized bite with basically every bite of salad I took, so very well portioned. I picked all the offending Olives out. Stupid Olives. Only downside to this dish (I would have ordered it with no olives, but I missed on the menu that it had them. Baloo ate them anyway, so it was ok).

I know for dessert most people get the Master's Cupcake (yay, gray stuff!), but we'd already tried the gray stuff, and wanted to try some of the other yummy looking desserts!

IMG_0871_zpsab054510.jpg

For me: Lemon-raspberry cream puff - filled with lemon custard (Gluten Free - No Sugar Added) I would still like to know if "no sugar added" means literally no SUGAR was added (but stevia/truvia/sweet'n'low was) or if they mean that they used fruit or something to sweeten it. This was very nice and it wasn't overly sweet, which I liked. It was a nice light dessert (and after a week at Disney...)

IMG_0872_zpsa98e689f.jpg

Baloo got: Lemon Meringue Cupcake - Vanilla sponge cake, lemon custard filling, flamed meringue icing and crunch. Such a pretty cupcake! I'm not really a fan of meringue, so I only had a bite. It was pretty tasty!
Stormy, naturally, had to sample both desserts multiple times and loved both!

After we'd cleared our trays, we explored the castle. It's so different when they have it all lit up and bright for lunch time! I liked that better as well. The low light for dinner hurt my eyes.

Next up: Pictures of the inside of the Castle and more of final Park day!

Lunch all eaten, we explored the castle again!

IMG_0873_zps16a5d708.jpg

The room we ate in had these pretty paintings all over the room! This was my favorite one, cuz I love Belle's green dress.

We wandered through the ballroom and over to the west wing.

IMG_0874_zps3e9e9981.jpg

IMG_0875_zpsc0794289.jpg

The details all over the castle are just spectacular.

IMG_0877_zps054258ee.jpg

I noticed this upper balcony thing. I'm not sure if people can get up there or not. It'd be so cool if they could!

IMG_0879_zpsbf98a7c4.jpg

Family selfie in front of the stain glass! Baloo usually has to take the selfies with all of us (cuz of the height difference, haha) but he had Stormy. It's an awful picture, but I love it because it's a good representation of the vacation.

After our lunch, it was time for our Journey of the Little Mermaid FP+!

IMG_0881_zpsc346eb42.jpg

IMG_0882_zps90b9067f.jpg

Eric's castle. I had sort of forgotten his castle was going to be in new Fantasyland (or rather, I hadn't really realized that the Little Mermaid ride was going to be shaped like the castle). I was blown away by it! I almost liked it more than Beasts castle.

IMG_0883_zps9c7438fa.jpg

As per usual, Stormy wanted to get into allll the areas he wasn't allowed.

IMG_0884_zps18a27fa7.jpg

I was trying to see if there were any hidden mickey's on here, while Stormy played. I didn't spot any, but there could be some there, who knows.

IMG_0895_zpsbd7a451c.jpg

IMG_0896_zpsca16940e.jpg

IMG_0897_zps9c2b21df.jpg

As amazed as I was by the exterior of the ride, I was...underwhelmed by the ride itself. I really expected a lot more out of it than a Finding Nemo-esque sitting ride. I dunno. I had see the set up for it and everything, but...It just seemed like it was going to be better. It was all gorgeous, though! So much detail and pretty!

We had one more snack credit to use up, so we stopped by Gaston's Tavern for some LeFou's Brew.
IMG_0902_zpsda272961.jpg

IMG_0904_zpsef406930.jpg

(Triple Blondes Beer. I would so buy that, ahah!)

So how was it?
IMG_0909_zpscc5b2d85.jpg

UUMMMM. Whoops. It was gone before I remembered to take a picture! I loved it, but Baloo thought it was too sweet and with too many flavors.

IMG_0911_zps64b2ee6c.jpg

Next up, PhilharMagic! It took a minute for Stormy to get into it, but he totally did, after it got going. He thought the water spraying him was hilarious.

Next we got in line for Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, as it said there was only a 20 min wait. After 25 minutes, it was apparent that we were liiiied to.
We got stuck near the play area, though, so it worked out alright! Sort of...

IMG_0914_zpsb264b8b3.jpg

20 minute wait my butt.

IMG_0923_zpse48ee455.jpg

Baloo is such a big kid! Love it!

IMG_0928_zpsff4fcb52.jpg

Drums, the bestest thing ever!

IMG_0929_zps3e4e6fca.jpg

What are these things, Dad?

IMG_0931_zpsed662f8c.jpg

It was around this point in the line (and about 45+ minutes) that 2 things happened. First, Stormy had an *almost* blow out (ewww) and Baloo left the line to change him (they told us they'd let him back in with me, yay!). Second, about 5 minutes after Stormy and Baloo left, we were informed that the ride was in fact, down. Great. When the boys got back, we were told that they didn't know when it would be fixed, so we left. We were also told that they weren't handing out any sort of passes to come back and skip the wait, which I was disappointed about.

We never ended up making it back to Winnie. Ah well, next time!

It was getting close to our Big Thunder Mountain FP+ and we still had one more thing left to do in Fantasyland. I had to find the Tangled bathrooms! Tangled is one of mine and Stormy's favorite movies, so we went out in search.

IMG_0932_zpsfe8b166b.jpg

It wasn't too hard to find! Yay! Gorgeoooous.

IMG_0934_zpsb39d3459.jpg

Only hidden Pascal we found. Baloo was convinced that there's only one there.

IMG_0940_zps3b041ce0.jpg

IMG_0939_zpsbe934a96.jpg

Flynn was heeeere! *fangirl shriek*

I was sad to leave Fantasyland, I had so much more to explore! But if we wanted to get to other stuff we had to move on!

What a great last day so far!!! I just seeing pictures of Stormy enjoying himself...I am sure there were meltdowns too...but he seems always so happy and full of exploration! Hmmm, did I spot a cupcake?

lol! I think that's the only pascal we found too! I think there's supposed to be 10 or something, but we sure didn't find any more! next time....

stormy looks like he's pointing out a hidden mickey to you in that last outside picture. "it's right here mom! I found it!"

did stormy love the honey wall at Winnie the pooh? we could have played there all day!

and I love the toothbrushing picture! so sweet!

Annnnd as always, life gets in the way. Gonna try to get this wrapped up, because I'll be starting a PTR sooooon. Officially got signed up for Glass Slipper Challenge 2015 on Tuesday! :cool1:

Soooo many meltdowns, lol! Our friends and family are all under the impression that Stormy is the happiest baby in the wooorld, cuz I don't ever take/post pictures of him upset. :rotfl2: If only they knew. If onnnnnly.

Yep! I think it was our only cupcake the whole trip...Oh, no wait, that was the second one? We had a cute one at DHS too. <3 I was an unintentional cupcake before becoming one for real. ;)

Haha, I will find more some time too! I might have to cheat, but I'll find 'em!

I don't think he ended up playing on the honey wall, he was getting his diaper changed when I was was in front of it, then I was passed it when they rejoined me and then we left the line. The kids behind me loved it, though, haha!

Next up, we got to the Haunted Mansion (which boarders the Tangled bathrooms. Sort of funny, if you're standing in the right spot.)

IMG_0942_zps9c2684b3.jpg

There was a short wait, and so we didn't go through the full line (and I guess missed some of the new stuff in there? I didn't see that cool musical thingy), which was ok, because we were only a little bit before we'd need to be at Big Thunder for FP+.

Country Bear Jamboree was about to start as we passed by, so we popped in there to catch the show. I'd been listening to Disney parks music, so this time around I had the show memorized, and I enjoyed it more than last time. Baloo still thought it was strange.

Finally we made it to:
IMG_0961_zpsa3cefd74.jpg

Big Thunder Railroad Mountain!
We used the FP+ and grabbed a childswap ticket, and I waited while Baloo went first.

IMG_0962_zps873587f1.jpg

Stop taking pictures of me and let me plaaaaay!

Baloo said his ride was uneventful. When I went through, I got up to the loading station, and climbed into the train car. As I got buckled in, a couple came running up the queue line and walked up to my car. The woman passed through the gate and went to sit down next to me, and motioned for her partner to join her. I was a little confused (as the car could obviously only seat 2 adults, maaaybe 2 adults and a child at best), and shook my head and said "I don't think 3 can fit..." The woman narrowed her eyes and then backed up behind the line as the gates swung closed and glared at me as we pulled out. What the heck?? She was tiny, sure, but her partner was at LEAST my size. It wasn't happening! It almost felt like she expected me to give my seat to them, I dunno.

It got dark very quickly (and so early!), so after we'd finished with BTRM, the sun was fading fast. By the time we got to the Carpet rides, it was basically dark.

IMG_0972_zpsf8eb5e3c.jpg

You'll notice Stormy's little mitts on the controls. This was totally his favorite part about these little circle rides! Controoooolll!

IMG_0973_zps902c3ea7.jpg

Dole whip treat! The beeessst!

We then went to meet with Tiana and Naveen! But oh noooo! Their line was closed! The CM at the front said we could wait in the area until the next time they'd be out (about 45 minutes), or come back and try to get in. We elected to risk it and ran to get food. We had a quick meal at Peco's Bills (this is one of my favorite places in MK!).

IMG_0974_zps25ff334c.jpg

Baloo got some sort of Steak and Chicken combo plate. It doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore (it was pretty expensive, almost $16, I think?) and I admit, I sort of pushed him to get it, a little cuz we were trying to make the most of our dining plan, heh. He said it was alright. I thought the steak was kinda gross, but the chicken was delicious! The sides were all amazing too. (There's a weird veggie/bean thing in between the steak and chicken and it was really good with both).

IMG_0975_zps23e7e009.jpg

Taco salad for me! It's obviously very basic, but their toppings bar is THE BEST! I'm always impressed by the quality of the toppings bar (when we went for our honeymoon, we had a friend who works in MK hanging out with us, and she recommended Pecos, so you know it's good when the employees tell you to go there!)

IMG_0976_zps780f23f3.jpg

Carrot Cake for dessert! Yum! (We split one and saved the other for later)

We got back to Tiana and Naveen's line just in time and got in about 5 minutes before the CM closed it off! Luck!

Soon, it was our turn!
IMG_0980_zpsf3c735ea.jpg

Yay, princess!

IMG_0984_zpsea83cb9c.jpg

Look over there, guys!

I forget what they talked about. I remember Naveen said some funny stuff to Stormy, but it's slipped my mind, heh.

Next, we tracked down some Fairies!
Rose1_zpsf9beb694.png

Rosetta was up first! Stormy was pretty taken by her and did a lot of chattering to her. He was pointing to lots of stuff, and ended up pointing to the flowers in the background, and said 'trees!' (one of his words that trip) and Rosetta asked if he liked them, that she made them special. Ever the well timed baby, Stormy said "Woooow!" while still pointing at a rose, which Rosetta loved! So cute.

We got in line for Tink, and Stormy couldn't WAIT to get up to see....well...

IMG_0995_zps7d6dc8af.jpg

The stuff on the table. Fairy? What fairy?

There were still a bunch of great shots, though! Hehe!

Stormy was weeellll passed bedtime at this point, and he gets a liiitttle bit crazy when he hits that point (we always say he's losing his little baby mind when he hits that part of the night. Heh....Silly kid) But I wanted to try to get to a couple more princess (I wanted to check out this new Princess Hall in new Fantasyland!). The princesses that night were Rapunzel and Snow White!

IMG_1007_zps6445b626.jpg

Waiting in line to see some princesses! Stormy got the wait time card thingy. I was not looking forward to when he had to give it back...

R1_zps907c4702.png

Stormy's shirt said "Frying Pans, Who Knew Right?" on it, and eeevveryone kept telling him about Flynn and his poster problems. When we got to Rapunzel, this happened! Stormy started touching his nose all on his own! I cracked up! I'm not sure Rapunzel knew what he was doing, she played peek-a-boo with her hair, but he kept touching his nose repeatedly. So cute!

R10_zpsa768b13e.png

She's also the only one who got him to hold still for a "good" group shot. 'Punzle for the win!

Snow5_zps0e2740ac.png

Still playing with his nose.

Snow2_zps3b01141a.png

Lastly was Snow White. Stormy had no idea who she was (we've only watched that once) and he was over pictures and princesses. I'm done, guys. Put me in my stroller, I wanna sleep! The photopass guy kept saying his shirt was pulling up, did I wanna fix it? Nope! Didn't matter anyway, each time I pulled it down, he pulled it back up.

Parting shots of MK!

IMG_1024_zps1f3b532f.jpg

That's a calm baby in a stroller.

Train station, all lit up!

We woke up a little late on our final day. Check out is 11am, I think we were out at 9:30 or so to go swimming!

d9778f83-c7aa-4a7d-bde3-968f785494d8_zps588e02b3.jpg

Getting ready for the pool! We forgot his swim diapers, so we had to go to the store to buy one. Luckily, they sell them single-pack (yay!), for less than $2 (we figure they don't overcharge for them because they'd rather the kid have the swim diaper than the alternatives...)

IMG_1032_zps36d80ab3.jpg

The pool!

IMG_1035_zpse70b07aa.jpg

Wee! Gonna go swimmiiiing!

IMG_1037_zpsa08c6091.jpg

Whoops...not so sure about this now, Dad!

After swimming, we changed, finished our packing, and took everything down to the front desk. I love that service for Magic Express! We always take late flights out and spend our last day in DTD. With ME, we don't have to lug our stuff around after we've checked out of our room! Woo!

IMG_1060_zps8b073775.jpg

I spotted these awesome villain mosaics in World of Disney. Awesoooome

After some shopping, it was food time! We still had 2 meals to on our Dining Plan to spend (since we paid for 2 sit down meals during the week). Our lunch was at Bongo's Cuban Cafe Express (one of Baloo's picks).

IMG_1078_zps1e109f5d.jpg

I apparently forgot to get pictures of our entrees. The first is our drinks, Baloo's was a pinapple soda. Pretty self explanatory, haha. I didn't like it much. Mine was Yerba Mate, which is like a type of tea, so it was carbonated and tea tasting. I liked it! When we asked for them, the lady taking our order kind of smiled. I don't know how many people go for the traditional/authentic stuff.
Next picture is a cheese empenada. Yummy!
Last was dessert, a strawberry and cheese pastry, I think.
I don't remember at all what we both got, but I do know it was delicious! One of us for sure got the: Cuban Frita - Cuban burger made of pork, beef, churizo, cheese, onions, ketchup and shoestring fries on a warm bun, I think it was Baloo? And I got a sandwich too, possibly the same thing.
Stormy got a mini pizza. :rotfl2:

IMG_1095_zpsc94f1121.jpg

At some point we stopped into Goofy's Candy Shop to pick up some souvenirs for family. Stormy and I played with the mirrors, while waiting for our treat to be made.

IMG_1109_zps4fa36560.jpg

We got the dipped rice krispie treat. Guys. GUYS.
Last time we got dipped marshmallows, but y'all. The rice krispie treat is where it's at! I'm probably the last to find this out...

After our shopping was done, we got back to Pop in time to catch our ME to the hotel. Noooooo!

IMG_1104_zps1b146c8b.jpg

Playing in the airport!

Before leaving DTD, we stopped at Cookes of Dublin one last time for a final meal, which we at in the airport.

IMG_1108_zps2338147e.jpg

This turned out to be a terrible mistake. This food did NOT keep well at all. Ah well.
I got the Chicken and Field Mushroom Pie - Chicken Breast, Leeks and Potatoes in a Rich Creamy Sauce. The first time I got the beef one, and I don't know if it's cuz I ate it hot, but I liked the beef way better.
Baloo got the Georges Bank Atlantic Scallops. They were awful cold. AWFUL. The breading got all soggy. Blech. But really, we should have known that would happen. We've eaten plenty of seafood.
The third picture is a dessert, a "doh bar" fried candy bar. Heh. Well that was still amazing (but not really. The breading was also squishy on that. But CHOCOLATE, so w/e).

Somewhere I had a picture of Baloo chasing Stormy around the terminal, but it's gone missing, so that's pretty much "The End"!

Thanks to those who stuck it out, even though I'm a slow poke! I'll be starting up a PTR soon, for GSC 2015!

Stormy looks so cute in all his princess meet pictures! BUT-- I love the ones with Rosetta and tink the best! When they are looking over the edge of the table--too cute!!!

Mmmm-- pecos bill taco salad-- so yummy!!

Oh tiana! She looks so pretty! I'm so glad you all got in to see her! She's one hard princess to meet!

I ADORE the night time pic of walt and Mickey in front of the castle at night! I might have to "borrow" that one! ;)

Thanks for sharing your trip! I loved reading along! Can't wait for the new PTR!!

Great ending to your great trip!!!

And h#ll to the no on that lady trying squeeze herself and her man in with you. Uh. No way! I would have glared right back. With maybe a few words thrown in. :) Then again, I am a big proponent of personal space.

GSC. 2015!!! Be there. Or be square! Can't wait!!! :cheer2:
