Hey All!
We have stayed LV 1 and 2 bed several times
We really like a higher floor
We will be in a theme park view this time and wondering should we ask for any particular area for a 2 bed

Most important request to make, and make sure it is your lead request, is for high floor. That is because if you get stuck on a lower floor such as fifth or sixth, you will probably feel that your points have been ripped off because your main view is of a large parking lot and a monorail track.

With a 2BR, a second possible request is for a room directly above the lobby.

^^^ HIGH FLOOR

(One time we booked a standard view and we were on the 4th floor, not too far from the lobby - SCORE! But we did note that if we had paid for TPV and were one floor up, we would not have felt like it was worth it.)

We got put on 5th floor, even with a high floor request being our one and only request
My DW does feel a bit put out with all the points it took to get TP view and here we are, on a lower floor. But I’m in WDW so it’s all good

Sorry to hear - I would also feel a little put out by that, too. Hope you have a great stay nonetheless. :)
I just booked Aulani at 7 mo, and the only view left in our room category was Oceanview .... ouch on the points, but I'll be in Hawaii and it will all be good, even if we end up on a low floor.

Thinking maybe that cute grandson loves the view of the monorail going by so closely. (Assuming he's staying with you. Saw the picture on the VWL thread). If so, maybe that 5th floor isn't so disappointing after all. :)

You are probably safe with Aulani in getting at least as high as the sixth floor. That is because the vast majority of ocean view rooms occupy the sixth floor and above, while pool view and in some cases island view are rooms in the same locations below that level.
