At this time it seems to be only available on the Dream in 687 (the sports bar). It certainly wasn't available on the Wonder (just off her).

Well, besides the bar food it seems that there are other upcharge options that were added as well: the ice cream at the new candy store and a juice bar at the spa. Both of these seem to be a bit more reasonable priced...

I am really baffled at the chips and dips as I remember the free bar food always including chips, guacamole and salsa. I really would be very sad if that were no longer available!

I'm not paying $14 for wagyu sliders. As noted, the description potentially is a scam and, even if it's legit, wagyu beef is desirable because of the marbling which becomes irrelevant when you stick it in a meat grinder.

Agree about the ice cream and gelato bar. Those seemed perfectly reasonable and good for a 1 off treat on the cruise.

The "bar" food is available on the Fantasy too. Both the Dream and Fantasy have "free" food areas located in a general spot in the adult area accessible by all of the bars while the Magic and Wonder have spots specifically located in O'Gills/Diversions. We always enjoyed the ability to grab something to tide us over until our late dinner. When I was on the Fantasy two weeks ago, the free bar food was offered at like 10:45-11:45.

From what I remember, Wagyu almost melts in your mouth. I'm pretty sure they don't need to grind it.

I think that is the issue. Why would anybody pay that with their being free options everywhere else, including back in your room. Maybe they are counting on people losing their common sense when drinking.

I wouldn't buy the Nachos, but the Sliders sound amazing. I will probably try it. Especially if we can't find it somewhere else...

I already felt like one area where Disney was lacking was food choices after dinner. There really isn't the "midnight buffet" that is common in cruising (although they did have 24hour room service). Having paid snacks kind of makes it sting more for me.

And, yes $8 for chips is common on land BUT on a cruise you've already paid a cruise fare which includes most food and the up charge is the DIFFERENCES between food value and cruise fare amount. That's why Palo is as low as it is- you're cruise fare covers $40 of the meal and you pay extra because the meal is valued at $70 (I just picked $40 from my personal valuing that's not the official DCL amount).

When we were on the Fantasy there was a free food bar set up in the passageway just past the Piazza. It was for anyone using any of the lounges there. When you enter La Piazza (it's basically a wide spot in the passageway, go past the bar (in the center) and down the passageway on the left (to the left of the pole, behind the bar)here:


On the right hand side of the passageway was this:


Whether it's still there since the pay-for food started, I'm not sure.

Fantasy recently offered a charcuterie and cheese board for an upcharge in Meridian. I hope the Dream has it.
