Up comming OKW vac Q

As I sit here and DREAM of our up comming OKW trip this summer, I was was wondering if you could fill in the hazzy, what if, parts for me....

My wife and I spent one weekend in a studio at OKW last year without the kids, and were lucky enough (we thought) to be fairly close to the hospitality house. This year we are taking the kids and my parents for a 2bdr. If we aren't as lucky to get close to the hospitality house again, what is it like staying in the rooms that are farther away?

It looks like (on the map) that anywhere in the lower half of the resort is a considerable distance from the activities at the hospitality house. Can anyone help with good/ bad attributes of this?

We always REQUEST to be in a section FAR AWAY from teh Hospitality House. We may ocassionally eat at Olivias, but we're rarely in the pool.

We really like being away from the bustle and activity of the HH - if you're with kids, I can see why you'd want to be nearby, but most of the activities are for kids at the HH, so in my opinion, there's not much for adults to do.

We really like the following buildings:

45, 46, 47, 48, 53, 54

Nice views, quiet, and near a quiet pool (although not overlooking it, so we wouldn't get the noise if someone was being loud at the pool).

It's also a nice, easy walk to the HH if you really want to go there.

I appreciate it. I will stop worring about it. It sounds like we cannot go wrong wherever we end up.

The only bad thing about dvc vacations is the waiting time in between them. I'm ready to go now. In the mean time, I'll just continue to dream....

We too usually request far from Hospitality House to cut down on activity and noise. Not that I have ever had a problem with noise at OKW. We usually request Something near South Point. We like that quiet pool and the walkway to DTD.

We request building 63 or 64 to be close to the HH. My DD's enjoy all the activites at Hanks and my DH loves to have quiet dinners at Olivia's. Someday, I am sure, we will enjoy the peacefulness of South Point.........

I can honestly say we have never had a bad OKW experience. Once we were quite a ways from a bus stop, but it wasn't unbearable.
