Do you know some usual pet names?

We had a newt named Fluffy.

I had a dog once with an unusual name.
Crickett Lee Nibbles-Fingers ______ Jr. The Only.

Me and my sister came up with that when we rescued her. The blank was our last name. :) We called her Crickett because whenever she would bark, her back legs would shoot out behind her. It's like she had too much energy for her body.

I had a pet mouse in the 70's.....and his name was "dog" cause our mom and dad wouldn't let us have a dog. We had "dog" for almost 4 years too!

We had a cat named maranaou....there is no way to spell it right, as my father said that was the noise hs made when he meowed.

My other pets ZUZU and Scribbles were my other cats, and King and Popeye were my dogs. Scribbles and Skittle have been the hamsters.

My sister had Welsh Corgi's named Forrest and Bubba...and a cat named Lieutenant Dan. (From Forrest Gump). Forrest has since passed on to the big shrimp boat in the sky. My mom thought those were the oddest pet names ever. Of course, when I was young, we had a dog named "Puppy" and a rabbit named "Bunny"...so I guess my sister was being much more original than her roots would indicate ;)

We had hampsters named Charlie and Luigi Faribonte. My sister and I named them after our cousins boyfriends.

We have a sugar glider named Penelope - we call her Penny.

We also had a springer spaniel named Sniffles.

Our cocker spaniel was registered as San Gabriel Cervantez - Gabe for short.

I had a hamster I named Gerbil.

My first two dogs were Salty and Cinnamon. Then Rowdie. Then I rescued one named Boy. I lengthened it to Boysie Huffington III. (He huffed a lot.)

I think our turtle we just called Turtle. The rabbits were Hunny Bunny and Rascal. (As in Wascally Wabbit.)

We had a cat named Stray....should give you a clue on how we got her!!! LOL!:jester:

My oldest cat's name is Meow-me, which in Chinese, it means "cat".

My 2nd cat's name is Tibble. That's the name from one of the Greek philosophical arguement. (Don't ask me, ask my DH what that means).

My doggie's name is Frege (pronounced fray-gay). EVERYONE I met has problem pronouncing this name. It's a German philosopher who reduces math to logic (whatever).

Talk about unusual name. You can tell it's not my idea. :)

Green anole lizards named Liz and Deno.

A hamster named snowball. My first graders named him. I was puzzled since he was brown and white.

A cat named Annie, Little Orphan Annie.

G. Pigs named Arthur and Guenevere. It wasn't Camelot - she bit him and we had to keep them in separate cages for his own protection.

A dog named April May June. Okay, she had lots of names.

Mice named Minne and Mickey (not weird but funny - guess I was a Disney fan even in second grade). I also had a Disney cat named Thomasina from The Three Lives of Thomasina.

My grandfather's aunt had a cat named Nitty-knot. Even stranger than the name was the fact that the cat was old and lost it's teeth. My relative caught mice and chopped them up. EEEWWWW!

My little dog's name is Buckalew. That's a pretty funny name.:p

My Lab's name is Jacob Marley. Not Jacob, not Marley, but Jacob Marley then my last name. :teeth: He's named after Ebenezer Scrooge's partner, Jacob Marley. Like the character in Dickens' book, he is " ... my partner in life." :)

I had a cat named Tea Annie. :) My DSD wanted to name her Tanny and I just couldn't stand it, so we came up with that instead. :)

I now have a cat name Lala. She's a little loopy. :teeth:

LOL these are funny.

My puppy that I had for my first 17 years was named Bozo the Clown (Bozo for short). Guess what I was watching? lol

Currently, we have:

Midnight- dog
Chubby- rabbit
Ace- cat
Sassy- cat
Rascal-cat
Bear aka Pretty, Pretty Princess aka The Enforcer- cat
Cutie Pie- cat

We have an American Eskimo named Tony. DS named him when we brought Tony home from the shelter. Better than what the shelter named him -- Bradford.

Our rabbit is Blitzen -- named after one of Santa's reindeers since Santa brought him last year for Christmas.

Hampsters name is Domino -- originally named America around 9/11 but that became a little hard for the kids to keep dealing with. Don't know where Domino came from.

When my oldest DS was 3 he got a rabbit & named him 'Carrot Eater':p
Currently we have:
Dog named Boomer,
2 hermit Crabs named Hermie & Phil &
an aquarium full of fish that only DS7 knows the names of:p

Our dog is Bobby McGee
Our cat is China Cat Sunflower
Our other cat is Jelly Bean (named by our daughter)

My mom had a cat named..

Lapis Lazuli Sweet Magic Mung Sung Shrug Fat Cat Carlton

One heck of a name! That was in the 60's so who knows what kind of drug induced hippie madness was involved in the naming of that cat! ;)

I named one of my parakeets Filabuster since he just wouldn't stop chattering. If you went near the cage he'd really get crazy and pace, bob his head and "argue". He always had the last word, or chirp. He bugged a few cagemates so often that he'd get a peck from them.

Most of our animals have had somewhat normal names, at least I think so, but my fiance had a hamster named Otto Von Bismarck, the Iron Chancellor of Germany. His sister had a male Angora cat which she named Princess Lala Kitty. Mind you, she got the cat when she was twenty. I don't know what she was thinking. They call the cat Fatty for short. Personally, I think he's a pretty cat, not fat at all....maybe confused about his sexuality.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seriously considered named a future dog of mine "Puppy"!!!! LOL!!!!

I have an inside joke with my family. Everytime I see a dog-whether is is grown or not- I say, "Look at the cute puppy." If it is an adult dog my mom looks at me strangly and says, "That's not a puppy."

We also have a 12 year old Lab-Chow-Beagle mix named Bo, and the nickname that I gave him was, of course, "Puppy".
