Unused/Underutilized Areas at DVC/Disney Deluxe Resorts

During recent stays have gotten me thinking... What are some areas that DVC/Disney should look to fill/repurpose. Some of the places that seem empty to me:

- Beach Club - Ariel's Restaurant
- Boardwalk - The Attic - wouldn't it be awesome for members to have that space back? If maybe only on Special Nights... To say nothing of the whole end of the boardwalk that is abandoned...
- Wilderness Lodge - Reunion Station - I saw this might be being used again during Welcome Home Weeks? Fabulous if so!
- Vero Beach - the meeting rooms seem to have potential
- Grand Floridian - Kids Club Area, Garden View Tea Room

Garden View is under construction, kids club is a kids club service for cash side, and the others are special venues you can rent out for a premium.

I doubt they honestly really do anything. I would also say all of them but the attic are actually cash side not DVC areas as well.

No clue about the non wdw stuff though.

Personally instead of the attic would rather have the whole shutdown area of Boardwalk become something better. Probably turn the dance hall in to a food hall as well in that area.

Optically I feel Ariel's is the worst... such a public location, and there's that little bar right off of it... And it has been empty since what, 1997?
I remember sitting in there when it was the makeshift B&C back in 2019. It's pretty big.

I would include Tangaroa Terrace at Polynesian. I know they use it for some CMs and storage, but it would be nice to see it revived for guest use.

Would love to see them do something with Ariel's and Martha's Vineyard Lounge. So much potential. Very curious to see what they do with the Boardwalk - Big River Grille, Jelly Rolls, Atlantic Dance Hall. A food hall/court would be great for that area. Definitely need another moderate/non-signature option in that area. Hope they do something rather than just leave it all shuttered but who knows.

I believe that large building is a DVC preview center.
The preview is off to the side by the big parking lots to the East. The S building is the spa/ gym/ DVC office. The P is the preview building with mock rooms. The circled one is the one I’m talking about.

Reunion Station is definitely a disappointment. We took advantage of their concierge offerings several years ago and loved it. Yes, it was an add-on paid service, but totally worth it. I would love for them to do this again and at least see that building in use. We are staying at the CC cabins in December and it would be wonderful to have something so close to utilize for concierge in any form. Seems such a waste that it just sits there empty.

Since you mentioned Vero Beach, I feel I can also mention the Hilton Head resort. Over the years I've attended several events at the Beach House after 6:00. The shuttle would be available to take people over and back if necessary. There were several wine tastings, cheese tastings, appetizers, and my favorite-the Private Affair with Chef Gordon. But nothing's been done over there in several years.

This is a real shame that these things have been cut.... Honestly, things like this or Shadow the Dog would be exactly what would get us to book a stay at Disney's HHI... When it comes to VB and HHI they often forget the name of the division is Parks and EXPERIENCES...
