Unused Park Passes From 2004

I have a question about unused days from park passes purchased in 2004. We purchased 4-day park passes for our last visit in May, 2004 (2 adult passes and 1 child pass). We only used 3 days on each pass and were told that the unused day would be good for our next visit to WDW.

How do we go about applying this to our next visit, which will be in May, 2006? Can we simply use the same pass or do we have to apply it to our purchase of new passes and, if so, how? We will be arriving May 20 and departing May 27 and will be going to the parks for 6 days, so I need to know in order to purchase the correct multi-day passes.

Thanks!

Assuming it is a "regular parkhopper", not MYW tix, you shouldn't have to do anything but use it for one day's admission. I would'nt mess with trading in or upgrading.

Seeing that you are planning six days in the parks on your next trip in May, you are better off buying a six day pass to cover it all which costs about two dollars more than a five day pass. Save the old pass for a one or two day vacation still further off in the future. You may also want to size up a ten day non-expiring pass now and size up your ticket budget for some longer future vacation using only leftovers.
