if the boys have a friend that is being rude, we talk about it later .. leaving it to them to decided how to handle it. Noah realized that one boys was just using him to get things.. so he stopped that friendship.

Justin told a friend.. "don't argue with my mom, it's not ok" and kinda hurried him out the door :lmao: Bless his heart, he knew to curb his friend's behavior or he won't be able to have him back again.

it's all part of the age, pushing the limits as far as they can go.. wanting to be treated as grown up- but not mature enough to be a grown up. It's a delicate dance.

The problem is that my parents are too busy and stressed out and I don't think they are aware of her bad/good friends. I noticed that the bad friends mostly are on her swim team and the good ones are in school with her.

Noah went thru a phase of getting angry over stupid things..and then destroy his LEGO models, making a huge mess in his room.

His brother told him to "stop being stupid" :lmao:

I told him "I don't want to hear about it, clean it up when you're done"

Hubby told him "that was not ok, that's not something to be mad about, now clean it up"

Whatever was the issue he worked thru it.. now he doesn't get mad over silly stuff.

<sigh> I can't do much. I have to let my parents deal with her. She's not my kid and when I talk to her she gives me the "WHATEVER!" comment and acts like she knows everything. I know my brother is frustrated too and he too does not agree with my parents methods.

I hope she grows out of her current attitude. :guilty:

hmm intersting don't ya think? Maybe avoiding swim practice is her way to distance herself from their influence?

I wonder, if they are picking on her and kinda forcing her to behave badly? Peer pressue..

somehting to think about.. ok I gotta go.. my nephew is getting sleepy and I'm keeping him awake..

 Take care of you

Good night Pixie :cloud9:

Hi sleepy heads! I woke up to hail today, it was fun. And I got ratatouille in the mail today, I'm so excited to watch it, I haven't seen it yet.

Thanks to those of you who read that girls TR, she seemed pretty happy to finally have some responses so that makes me feel better. You guys are awesomeness.

My butt hurts from sitting on it, I should clean my house today and give my bum a rest.

GOOD MORNING HYENAS

GOOD MORNING HYENA'S!!!
Is this a signal? Is it "that time"? :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: :sad2: No...I had posted an update on DS, then got freaked out and deleted it...

So after my many hours of lecture before DD left for Florida, she completely ignored my Sunscreen Lecture!

Day before yesterday here and bff went to the beach. Not only did they not use sunscreen, they took baby oil! What a bunch of idiots!!!!!!!!!!!! They thought the baby oil would make them brown nicely. Yep, 2 albino white girls fresh from a winter in Washington think they can lay on the Florida beach slathered in oil! So today my sister had to take DD to urgent care because her face was blistering. They gave her a prescription for Prednisone and told her what type of sunscreen to use. AND being the wonderful mother that I am, I made her pay the $132 urgent care bill from her spending money! Our insurance will reimburse us for all but $15. However, I felt having to spend her own money on something that we warned her about might serve as a reminder to listen to us the next time!

It's nothing too serious, but just enough to be very uncomfortable. The doctor told them to avoid water parks tomorrow, but going to a regular theme park would be ok. So tomorrow they will go to Seaworld, use their sunscreen every 2 hours, along with the new hats they bought! Sunday he said would be ok to go to the waterpark as long as the blisters are gone by then and they are peeling. They just have to apply new sunscreen every time they get out of the water and wear hats.

:scared1: Baby oil!!! :faint:

Oooooo! It's 3 weeks away. I think you'll feel great by then, don't you???

Wow. Wasn't I just the one nagging you about doing too much at work? :rotfl:
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

oh, gee, DS3 learned to climb on the counters before DS7 could reach them. It's always DS3! :rotfl:
::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Good morning, hyenas!
It's Saturday! Overcast and chilly, but not raining! :thumbsup2

DS3 and I are going to go to DS7's football game today if the weather holds. DS3 is excited to go and so am I, but I'm not sure if he thinks he's going to be running around the field himself or not. When we went to DS7's basketball games, he wanted to be raising havoc out on the court, so we didn't go to too many games. :(

So guess we'll see how this first one goes...

Other than that, I'm going to try to shop for some decent clothes this weekend. WHY? Because all I have to wear these days is the SAHM Uniform of jeans and t-shirts/knit tops. WHY DO I CARE? Because my friend's wife's memorial is coming up, and I have nothing appropriate to wear.

How sad is that? I was almost not going to go (because I thought it was today.) I know things are different these days, people wear jeans to church and weddings, probably to funerals, too. But I just can't. :sad2:

Turns out the memorial is next weekend, so I hopefully will get a chance to shop today or tomorrow. DS7 goes back to school Monday but DS3's preschool is on spring break then, so no break for me!

I do want to plan a few fun outtings for DS3 next week, too. I have one thing in mind, just want to think of one or two other things.

Pixter, I love that picture, I wish I was there right now for a picnic.
I love it, too!
Though I don't recommend having a picnic on RR tracks! Eeeeeee! :scared1: :rotfl:

Good Morning Alex...I actually have a day off :cool1: . DH works until 2:30pm, and then I think we are going to walk to the lake :cloud9:

This is for Tinkermell and Sam (and bratty Lynn, who claims she is too young to remember this):

"Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains, shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze

"Country roads, take me home
To the place, I belong
West virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads"

Wow, a walk to the lake? That sounds really nice!

What's the weather like? Oh, wait, maybe that will depress me. Focus! It's not raining, it's not raining, it's not raining... :headache:

hi. pix. DS3 is in my lap and likes your Domokun (or however his name is spelled.) :rotfl:
