Thanks, guys. I'm hoping it's just a mild stomach bug. It made more sense when he said the two buddies of his were also not feeling well, I'm sure they passed it around.

I'm just puzzled by the fact that he wanted to eat! And he looks OK. He's just watching cartoons right now, but if he is up and really energetic later, I'm gonna feel totally suckered! :rotfl:

I just asked him if his stomach hurt, and he said no. So I said, "Does it just feel yucky?" and he said yeah, it just didn't feel good.

He's sipping some water, which will hopefully help.

Just had another thought. He's had a cold this week and yesterday his nose was running a lot. I wonder if he could have a sinus infection, or if just that much drainage is irritating his stomach?

I know I get an upset stomach when I have a sinus infection, but I thought little kids didn't get sinus infections....? Lynn, do you know?

I had that when I was in college, and my dad had it around the same time (though we weren't living together at the time.) I heard of something similar years later, but I can't remember now what it was, but it was kind of serious. If his meds aren't working, he needs to go back.

I didn't get treated for mine, and it took about 6 weeks to get over the cough. Ever since then when I really get laughing, I get this sort of wheezy honk that I never had before, so I think it did some damage. :confused3

That's not good! Ever since high school, he always managed to catch something where he ends up coughing a lot. It happends at least once a year. In high school he was REALLY sick and was out for about a month. He had the worst cough and he went to the doctor a few times and they didn't know what was wrong. They even had him do a chest x-ray and they couldn't find anything wrong.

The thing my dad and I had started out as coughing so hard that you couldn't even catch your breath in between coughs. Very scary! And I'd almost always wet my pants from coughing so hard!

no they dont get sinus infections but you may have hit the nail on the head....the drainage more than likely is irritating his stomach....and kids swallow it instead of spitting it up so that could be it...one thing I want to recommend though...water is what hospitals use to induce vomiting so I never recommend giving water when you feel sick to stomach...however, 7up, or sprite works well...just have him sip on it

omg that gives me the shivers...I do the same thing...when I come down with a respitory illness I always have to wear pads because I do it so much...no matter how often I use the restroom this happens...I HATE IT....but on the cute side...I do cough hard period and the baby has seen me do it so much that when he coughs he does the same thing:lmao: and when anybody sees him cough like that they look all crazy at him and tiffany points to me and says "its her fault she taught him that" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We don't like that, so I doubt we have any, but I'll check. (The neighbors always used 7Up and swore by it, so I tried it once. Soooo didn't work for me, carbonation was NOT my friend! :lmao: ) He likes Gatorade, so maybe I'll see if he'll drink a bit of that. We must have some of that around...

They are very good mimics, aren't they? :lmao:

:scared1: I walked into our lobby and was headed to the restroom and I got startled by a huge road runner with a red plume-like top. It had a big lizard in its mouth too! It was standing in front of our front doors and it freaked me out. Not sure where it came from.

Oh, I'm in the doghouse now. Daddy called, so DS asked him if he could play videogames, and I shook my head no. He started to cry on the phone, and gave me the phone back, so I explained to DH that I'd said no to the videogames. He agreed, saying if he's that sick he should be in bed! This is why we have such a happy marriage, it's because we think alike!

UH-OH. Big thud upstairs, so I expect the little beastie will appear momentarily. Now the battle to keep the two boys apart for the rest of the day... :headache:

funny as it is I like sprite better than 7up or sierra mist...I love the carbonation but it tends to calm my stomach down when i feel ill like that..better than anything else but yeah gatorade may work fine for you

Funny you should mention that. Dh gets suckered by DS3 almost daily!

DS3 will ask Daddy for some "cocket moke" and Daddy will say OK. Mama will see two empty chocolate milk containers and growl. :headache:

DS3 will ask Daddy for some "cocket moke" and Daddy will ask, "Did you already have some?" DS3 will say, "No, Daddy" and Daddy will say OK. Mama will see two empty chocolate milk containers and growl. :headache:

DS3 will ask Daddy for some "cocket moke" and Daddy will ask, "Did you already have some?" DS3 will say, "No, Daddy", and Daddy will say, "Go ask Mama." DS3 will disappear, then come back and say "Mama say OK" and Daddy will let him have some chocolate milk. Mama will see the empty milk container and say DS3 did something bad and was not allowed to have chocolate milk today. :headache:

Would like some? ;) J/k!

Since his "brudda-frien" had toast, DS3 must have toast now. So I'll BRB... and search for Gatorade while I'm at it... :upsidedow
