Howdy Hyenas! I'm Home!!!!Nothing like spending a few days in the hospital to make you appreciate Home Sweet Home.

Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers. I have them at home know and they are brightening up the kitchen. They smelled so good and all the nurses loved them.

Long story....hopefully can make it short.

Tuesday AM - surgery. Everything went fine.
Tuesday PM - got into my room, hooked up to all sorts of contraptions, but felt pretty good.
Wednesday AM - felt like I was progressing pretty well.
Wednesday PM - Started feeling not so good. Called in lots of doctors. My potassium level was real low and I was developing fluid on my lunds (precursor to pneumonia). Lots of nausea, antibiotics were making me vomit. Pain I can handle, nausea I can't.
Thursday AM - working on getting all of that under control.
Thursday PM - feeling great, unhooked from everything, up & walking.
Friday AM - felt good, but doctors wanted me to stay one more night, just in case.
Friday PM - feeling great. Sat up talking to all the wonderful nurses and walking around the halls at night. In between my really bizarre dreams that the morphine and oxycodone were giving me. But that's a whole other story. Suffice to say I will probably be running in I see TowMater in the parade. No I'm not kidding. It was the most weird dream/hallucinations you can possibly believe.
Saturday AM - feeling nauseaus, but all vital stats are ok, labs are ok. So they let me go home that afternoon. Felt nauseaus the entire way home, but once we got home then I vomited twice. My tummy felt like it had split open, but it's been all good since then.

I'm up walking around, had to fix the internet connection on the computer, folded some laundry, etc... Amazingly I feel much less pain than I anticipated. Still feel like a truck ran over my tummy, but my chest feels pretty good and.......the best news......it looks awesome! And it's not even done yet. Stilll have the fine tuning and shaping to do. But I'm just astounded by how good it looks! I feel good about my decision, sore, but good!

SO....ANYTHING FUN & EXCITING HAPPEN WHILE I WAS GONE??? ANYONE ELSE GO THRU PUBERTY???

In lieu of a Trip Report I'll post my Totally Bizarre Narcotically Induced Dream/ Hallucination!

So first I'm in Hawaii with my sister. We are sliding down a waterfall slide out in the wilderness and strange jungle animals are everywhere. Not really bothering us, but kind of freaking us out. There were beautiful tigers, leopards, elephants, every animal you could think of leaping over the top of us making sounds. It was absolutely beautiful.

Then....next thing I know I am in my friend Judy's truck. She stopped by to pick me up to go to a community garage sale. Instead of getting in her truck I dump on a trailer she is using to haul hay for her horses on the back. Then all of the sudden all along the yellow line down the middle of the road are garage sale fodder....swing sets, clothes, dishes, etc. Finally we get near downtown and I see Orca whales jumping in our little river and swimming up a drain pipe chasing seals. Then one man tries to rescue a seal and push him back through the drain pipe into the river. All this as we pull over into Don's Donut Depot parking lot watching. An orca whale starts chasing us around the asphalt parking lot as Judy is spinning "donuts" with her truck in Don's Donut Depot! We finally leave that scene of chaos as I'm hanging onto a bale of hay for dear life. We head back to the community garage sale, still following piles of garage sales treasures in the middle of the road.....

Part Deux....coming soon, need to take a little break, back is kind of hurting. Next up....How Tow Mater was attacking me!

Good afternoon, hyenas!

My ABC scrapbook for DS3 is turning out well; I got everything stuck down (I matted all the photos and stuck them down, then punched out a zillion little colored squares with slightly smaller white squares, slapped the white squares on top of the colored squares, and placed alphabet letters on the white squares...) It sounds way more complicated than it actually is, but basically all I have left to do is add a bunch of letter-appropriate stickers to each page, and put the pages in a coverset.

Oh, and I have enough extra pages that I'm thinking of adding pages for numbers 1 - 10. So now will be hunting through old photos of DS for photos for numbers. (That wasn't too hard, let's make it harder!!!)

I woke up at 11:30am! I was soooo freakin tired for some reason. I got the DVD I won on ebay called My Neighbors the Yamadas. I brought it over to my parents house last night and watched it with my siblings.

I used to work with a really funny guy named Yamada, so I'm very curious what the movie was about!

Alison, I read your post and see your green light. Lovely to have you back safe and sound!

I am just off to the salon to get my semi-annual frizzing. My regular stylist is out today, so who knows how it will turn out? Hopefully not like this:

Just took off for a bit to fix our internet connection on the laptop. Not sure what my dear family did to both the computers while I was gone, but couldn't get on the internet at all!

WHoop!! I just booked our summer vacation!! We are going to the Redwoods.. Neither dh or I felt we got to spend nearly enough time there, and then on to San Fransisco.. Alcatraz!!! and down to San Jose to see the Winchester house. And of course over to Reno to see Grandma.. It helps that they are having a rib fest that weekend! Then home.. Ive got my hotels booked, and rental car booked.. (dont ask.. Long and confusing and I barely understand it myself.)

Part Deaux of Freaky Dream....

We arrive at the community center where the giant garage sale is being held. The big doors are locked, women are out front yelling and hollering and throwing things at the police. They apparently won't let anyone in and there is rumor that they are turning the beloved baseball/soccer/community center into a hotel and gift shop. But nothing to be found. In the mean time I fell off the truck of hay as Judy drove past scared of the commotion, so I'm sort of stuck there. I watch a ball game for a bit, then go upstairs to the salon for my pedicure appt. But I can't find the salon. It's been there for years, but today it seems to have disappeared. I finally locate it, it has been relocated to women's restrooms! They refuse to do my pedicure because I am 10 minutes late and are really snooty, not the same ladies that are normally there. So I once again get lost when trying to find my way out. Finally a security guard approaches me and asks if I need help. I said "Show me the Exit, this is just a bit weird for me". He hugs me and thanks me for saying the special worlds.

I enter a door to a parking garage and in it is a GIANT Towmater, a bus, all the cars from CARS and they are moving around forwards and backwards like crazy. It is a dingy old basement and cars and giant Towmaters are trying to run me over. Finally a naked Tarzan swoops down from above and rescues me and puts me in a door. That where I discover a new gift shop that everyone was so worried about......

Then I get woke up by a nurse wanting to take my blood pressure! So anybody want to interpret that weird dream???? What was so weird was that it was so vivid and colorful. I've never seen anything so colorful in my entire life.

Neither, he's from Jellystone Park! Which is located near the closest Pick-a-Nic basket, eh ****oo?!

Yosemite it is then. Would like to just head down through Reno, stop near Mammoth Lakes and then go on to a couple of days at Yosemite. Gotta wait until the snow melts for that though.

Actually I'm happy for my stepdad. It has been about 3 years and I want him to have a happy life. I miss my mom and know that it doesn't mean anything bad towards her. We all loved her and she would want us to go on with our lives and just remember the good times with her.

While I was surfing the web, I thought I'd check out flights from Phoenix to LA. I know...... I can't help myself.... It's the travel planner in me. (I should have been a travel agent, or worked at AAA.)

A round trip ticket is only $117.00 lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you would still have to get a shuttle, but I think that is only like $20.00 or $25.00 round trip!! Can you drive to DL for less than that???
