People going thru intersections and blocking cross streets at the light, jammed up the light rail line. 
Can't imagine what it would be like if they had a "real" storm. 2 inches is nothing, they really really need that bridge rebuilt!

I disappeared to look at some deals, window shopping formthe comfort of my keyboard, listening to Christmas music that does not make me want to gag someone.
Sadly, that is very funny! I had a dream about you last night (I now, crazy, but at least it wasn't about work anymore). You posted that you wouldn't be back on the boards - you had found too many deals online and we were taking away from your freebies and bargain shopping!
Am I THAT obvious with my deal hunting? 
We are leaving on Friday, the 21st as soon as I get home from work (around 3:30pm) and we aren't coming home until Monday, Christmas Eve! I'm really looking forward to this trip. We are going to go to The San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, Sea World and maybe Tiajuana. I managed to get the room for all three night for $257 total (tax included). I went through Expedia. I'll take lots of pictures and maybe I can even do a TR!

Hi! So I just got our hotel booked for the wekend before Christmas. We are going to San Diego for 4 days!
On Wednesday (12th) we are going to Knotts "Merry" Farm. We are staying at the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel on Tuesday night. When we went to Knott's in October for Knotts "Scary" Farm we had a bad experience with one of the girls in Guest Relations (she was very rude and unwilling to help us) so I sent them an e-mail when I got home and a few days later a got a call from the Guest Relations Manager and sh gave us 2 free tickets to come back! And DBF says I complain too much!
No snow yet - we came close last weekend - and DH drove (about 10 miles) to see it with the kids. We are expecting some this weekend - too bad we are supposed to drive to the Valley for his company Christmas party!!!I think blasting my Jingle Jams has lulled the puppy to sleep, ahhhhhhhh much better!

I hope it fits her. I don't know her size. She's 6 years old, tall and skinny. The pants are a size Medium (8) and the top is an XL but looks like it would fit just right. The smaller sizes for the hoodies looked way too small. Maybe it's just me, but I don't know kids sizes.
Most 7yos wear a size 7 or 8, so it's hard to say. Depends on how much taller she is than her peers, and also a lot on the sizing scheme used by the clothing manufacturer. It is very frustrating when one manufacturer considers something a size 8 and another a size or two smaller or larger.
DS7 wears a size 7, though some brands are too big still. My niece, who is 8, tall for her age, is supposedly wearing a size 12!
Scraping a windshield once to get going isn't bad-- try scraping it while driving so you can see.. that's BAD!
We had to do that once- snow was coming down so fast windshield wipers couldn't keep up-- getting all clumpy from sleet/snow mix-- YUCK!
I know last year we had a hard time with big snowfalls and then the apt manager wouldn't clear the parking lot until days and days afterwards. Everyone was stuck trying to get out of the tiny lot. Someone left a shovel outside and all of us took turns making paths to get our cars out. Really gald not to be living there- the manager was nice but didn't want to spend any money on upkeep.
Hubby wanted to call his family and rub in the fact that we were wearing shorts yesterday.
Meanwhile, sunny and 80 here yesterday. Grilled outdoors, a little cool in the evening but fine with a light weight jacket.
Today, 60's and cloudy. 70% chance of rain tonight, and off an on rain all weekend with temps in the mid 50's-- it's winter!
To my MN eyes, winter is a JOKE here
highest it has gotten in the day is mid 50's and nights mid 30's lowest...right now its raining but i have mixed feelings about that we need it so on one hand im glad but its cold and i dont want to get wet so this sux
