my roomie is spoiled. I get to play with her toys :P

That's cool. :thumbsup2 My sister in SD has a roommate who likes to play Guitar Hero with her on the Wii (she owns the Wii). Your roommate is lucky her parents buy her stuff.

yeah, lucky... my parents wont even get me a single console...

BOOOOOOOOO!

I'm uploading pics and trying to find out where to post my trip report. I guess I'll have to do it on the community board. Ugh, I still have the feeling that I'm rocking on the ship! I hope this feeling goes away! :sad2:

It's always cool to get freebies from parents, but if you pay for it yourself, you actually feel a bit of pride that you worked for it, ya know? It helps you to appreciate it and take care of what you purchase with your own hard earned money. I used to ask my parents to buy me this and that and was tired of having to ask or beg. That's why I started working when I graduated from high school. Buying things myself was far better than always having to beg. :guilty:

haha, im thinking of just renting games to play on the 360 since games are like 60 dollars a piece...

60 can get me like 6 months of game rentals :)

What is the "Super" supposed to mean, a bigger store? Grocery items included? :confused3

There's about 20 min. north of me; too out of the way to go very often, but I do like to check them out on occasion. And there is no conveniently located KMart, so I never shop there. There are 2 Targets fairly close by, so I go to the one that's easiest to get to with traffic.

Rumor has it we're getting a Kohl's, but I don't know if that's true, or when that would be opening.

OH! Little munchkin is up, I gotta run. Have a great afternoon, Moto!

Our Super WalMart has a grocery section as well as being a regular WalMart. I love Kohl's! I really love their clearance racks!

Hey guys, I'm at Red Lobster now eating lunch. My bf was craving crab legs since the cruise did not have any. I returned my shoes that I wore for formal night. They were too big! :( I just traded them for a pair of airwalks that was on sale for $11 and I got $8 back. Sweet! :smooth:

I still have this odd feeling that I'm still on the ship

I remeber having that same feeling when DBF and I got back from our cruise!

Just for fun...

Super Walmart = oversized grocery store with Walmart stuff too.

Super Target = Target PLUS grocery store, typically not as oversized as Super Walmart.

To make things more interesting.. Target does have a line of stores called Target Greatland = bigger Target, carries more of each product (but no groceries)

I know Kmart has some distinctions of Big K and neighborhood Kmart.. but generally they don't have the ginormous grocery area. Though I believe they did try a test market of a Kmart grocery type, in southern states???

OHHHHH and there are sub divisions of Walmart too, "neighborhood Walmart center" typically not open 24 hours, may have more of a grocery area, more selective of what they carry in the store depending on demographics.

When they remodled our WalMart into a Super WalMart they took out the craft department! Boo! Now I have about 45 minutes to JoAnn's instead of 20 minutes like I used to for my craft supplies.

hmmm, so who all is going and staying in a hotel????????

It would be easier for me to stay at a hotel.. otherwise I will miss out on all the fun :sad1:

Without the hotel stay, I would be there only Saturday for a few hours in the morning and again on Sunday until the afternoon.

I'm looking at arriving to Anaheim very late at night on Thursday (dialysis day, looking at 11pm to arrive at hotel), stay thru Sunday afternoon -- typically we leave the park around 3 pm to drive home.

ok, so how many do we want in a room... errrrr.. how cozy do we want to be? :upsidedow

My mom and I our going! I'm so excited to meet all of you IRL! I don't know yet where we will be staying. I would like to stay at the same place as everyone else but we may end up staying at the Best Western Stovalls Inn because DBF and I stay in BW's so much I think we have enough points racked up for a free night or two and that would mean we could get the 2 or 3 day park hopper instead of just the one day.

DBF always rents games first, then if he really likes them he will go buy it. It's a good way to try them out first.

Just checking out my new siggy...

The picture is a little bit little but at least you can see my ticker!!

moto, I cannot see your ticker. just the part that says tickerfactory.

Ugh I'm in a bind. I really need some hot fix crystals right now problem is that I cannot find them in Phoenix I have to get them online but I need them for a costume Morgan has to wear this weekend. I'm thinking of going to Joanns and buying the glue and regular flat back crystals although I'm never good at glueing them especially on to fabric. UGH!

This weekend we have 2 recitals and 1 cheer competition that I'm trying to get everything around for. :cheer2: I'm a little overwhelmed.

I haven't tried it myself yet.. but I've heard good things about Game Fly, kinda like Netflix but it's games instead.

We buy most of our games used at Game Stop, occasionally we hit on a really good deal -- price mistakes in best buy ad, then price match it at Walmart.
Clearanced out games, occasionally Walmart will mark down newer popular games. I think it's a pricing mistake, all the other stores
list the game for $50- $60 , Walmart prices it for $20- $30-- SCORE!:woohoo:

I goofed by not telling hubby more about a deal on Super Mario Glaxy at Toys R Us, buy it for $50 and get a $25 gift card free. Then I read that Best Buy stepped into the competition and if you asked them nicely (and told them the special SKU to ring it up) they would give you a $25 GC w purchase too.

Then again hubby cringes at deals that require more effort, hates being shot down and looking like a dork at a store.

Good afternoon, hyenas!

I'm sick, DS3 had a fever and went to bed at 7:30 last night, DH went with him to settle him in, and we had a very long, restless night. Thankfully he's feeling better today (though DH and I are wiped out!), and DS7 is good so far.

DH is taking a sick day due to the lack of sleep last night, so we're going to have lunch now, and then they'll take a nap. I'm torn between taking a nap myself, or going shopping!!! What to do, what to do...?

Pixster, saw your cruise TR, nice start! Can't wait to hear more. And that goes for Shawna and Spongie, too... :rolleyes1

OK, gotta go feed my hungry men, catch you all later!

PS. Grumpy, you're a professor? I don't know why, but that made me

I would rather do 2 rooms myself... I am 100% sure that no one wants to share a bed with me.. I am a very violent sleeper... I fear that someone will walk by the room with a baby, and I will hear it in my sleep... and start kicking someone really hard in the shins!:lmao: :lmao: Plus.. dh tries to blow me out of the bed enough.. I dont need Shawna for that~!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: But whatever you all want!

Ugh...Okay. Dh just called me over to test out our arsenal.. He is all freaked out since we had the swat team out here. I know!! So I had the shot gun up to my shoulder, and dh is looking at me..;) :lmao: meanwhile... Dont break into my house!! He is getting more and more nervous about us being here alone, and is really looking forward to moving.

Ummm, well yeah I am an Adjunct Prof. at a local university. (I am going to resign, as it is beginning to conflict with main job, and another associate need the position more than I do!

I teach Pirating!!!! Arrrrrhhhhh!!!pirate:

(What are you going to feed him, HHmmmmm?)

A class in Pirating? How cool! :thumbsup2

We never had a class like that at my alma mater. Though I was interested in working in the chimp labs, where they were observing the chimps use of sign language... That is, until I encountered a completely soaked lab assistant in the bathroom, picking strings of chewed celery out of her hair. And she said that was one of the kinder things they'd thrown at her. I decided that chimp research was not for me.

(And because I waited a few minutes before heading downstairs, DH made a lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Sweet!)

Sounds like that makes YOU spoiled! :rotfl:

I'm excited, I found a karaoke type mike I got for Christmas 3 years ago! It's been tucked away in a box this whole time (we moved shortly after Christmas, so I never even had a chance to use it, then it was lost in the hubbub of the move.)

So now I'm excited to break it out and give it a whirl, WHEEEE! Apparently I did open it enough to take out the instruction booklet... so now I have to go back to the box and see if I can dig that out.
