Alex ... is getting a guitar. Its fisher Price, and it teaches the kid to play guitar. Its kinda spendy, but he has been wanting to learn for a while now. I got [Mikalah] the little Hannah guitar, so she doesnt get into Alex's.

I bought DS3 a Wiggles guitar for his 2nd birthday, I think it was. DS7 was sooo jealous, and kept asking for a real guitar, and every time we go over to a friend's house (the dad plays) he admires all the guitars he has out on display. Anyway, so last Christmas we got DS7 a cheapie-but-real kids' guitar. He plunked around on it for a few weeks, then I kept finding it on the floor with other stuff piled on top (ready to get stepped on!) So I shoved it in the back of his closet.

ok, so I added the tink pic to my photobucket and resized it. Almost too small but it fits!


I have two guitars, a student sized one and 3/4 sized. One was my grandfather's and the other I bought online for cheap .. I think it was $30 shipped. Both are out of tune and neither one of the boys really want to play. But we have them if and when they change thier minds. They survivced the BIG MOVE without mishap.. wrapped in sheets and towels

Have I mentioned how mch I like Super Target?? We get a super walmart next year Now if they would only put my bank in the stores here .. I would be soooooooooo happy!

What is the "Super" supposed to mean, a bigger store? Grocery items included?

There's about 20 min. north of me; too out of the way to go very often, but I do like to check them out on occasion. And there is no conveniently located KMart, so I never shop there. There are 2 Targets fairly close by, so I go to the one that's easiest to get to with traffic.

Rumor has it we're getting a Kohl's, but I don't know if that's true, or when that would be opening.

Hey guys, I'm at Red Lobster now eating lunch. My bf was craving crab legs since the cruise did not have any. I returned my shoes that I wore for formal night. They were too big! I just traded them for a pair of airwalks that was on sale for $11 and I got $8 back. Sweet!

Okay, Beth just posted about the CCI calling her back about the group rates. I have a room reserved from the 24th-27th. That is Thursday through the Sunday, I cant stay til monday... Dh will already be all stressed as it is! I will switch my ressies over to the group rate as soon as I get the guys info to do it. NOW... are we going to do 2 rooms, and try to get them adjoining?

OKay, I just received a phone call from the Candy Cane Inn. Nick, the front desk manager contacted me. He was very nice and answered all my questions.

It is supposed to be 15 rooms for a group rate BUT he said if we are close to that (not sure exactly what close is, maybe 13 or more) then he'd still give us the group rate.

The group rate is $104 a night plus tax and that's for each the night, including Friday and Saturday which are typically higher.

(AAA was $102 on Thurs, $113 on Fri, $113 on Sat, and $102 on Mon.)

We do NOT all have to be arriving or departing on the same dates. So if some ladies will be there Thurs-Mon, and some are only there Fri-Sun, he said that's ok.

Also if between now and then we have some cancel and we drop below the 15 rooms, he said he'd still let us keep the group rate.

Finally, another nice thing is that we can all make payment arrangements seperately. What he'll do is block off a section of rooms for us, and then we can either fax or email him with the reservations info, and either send a check or give a credit card which ever each individual prefers to do.

So bottom line is it sounds pretty good. He seemed really willing to work with us. Now I guess we just need to know how many rooms we are looking at.

Super Target = Target PLUS grocery store, typically not as oversized as Super Walmart.

To make things more interesting.. Target does have a line of stores called Target Greatland = bigger Target, carries more of each product (but no groceries)

I know Kmart has some distinctions of Big K and neighborhood Kmart.. but generally they don't have the ginormous grocery area. Though I believe they did try a test market of a Kmart grocery type, in southern states???

OHHHHH and there are sub divisions of Walmart too, "neighborhood Walmart center" typically not open 24 hours, may have more of a grocery area, more selective of what they carry in the store depending on demographics.

LOVE super walmart!!! To bad mine is so far away... Its like 30 minutes away. I do belive that there is a super kmart.. Not in my area, we just have a BigK, and it SUCKS!!

It would be easier for me to stay at a hotel.. otherwise I will miss out on all the fun

Without the hotel stay, I would be there only Saturday for a few hours in the morning and again on Sunday until the afternoon.

I'm looking at arriving to Anaheim very late at night on Thursday (dialysis day, looking at 11pm to arrive at hotel), stay thru Sunday afternoon -- typically we leave the park around 3 pm to drive home.

ok, so how many do we want in a room... errrrr.. how cozy do we want to be?

30 minutes is nothing

We have discovered if we want to do anything fun.. it's an HOUR drive. Odd, we would never have considered driving an hour or more to do something fun.. now we drive every weekend.

Even living in MN, it was very typical to drive 20- 30 minutes to go shopping at a mall (so many to choose from!) or to check for an elusive clearance item at another Target.

I bought a cool game for PS2 today from Fry's. It's called SingStar Pop and it has a bunch of different "karaoke" type songs. The game is similar to Karaoke Revolution. It came with 2 microphones. I just tried it and it's actually fun. My bf sang a duet with me (Move Along by the All-American Rejects).
