Hi Staley!!! I bought about $200 more in lights. Every year we have to add more lights the darned rain forest keeps growing. Dh has to add an other breaker to accommodate the new lights. :sad2: Freakin' Griswolds!:lmao:

If you switch to LED lights, you can use up to six times the number, aand still have a lower power drain!:woohoo:

 Sorry Albort. When I started worked at WDW there was a hiring freeze but they still let all the college program kids come in. Basically because we were cheap labor.... Anyway, I remember this strike looming and picketing outside EPCOT CM entrance that everyone hated Eisner. I always thought how should they go out and be happy to guests after all this??? Anyway, because of the hiring freeze we were treated badly by many of the seasoned cm's since their aunt or friend, so and so couldnt get hired but we did. It was tough for awhile. Goes to show you lots happen backstage that makes the job at Disney just like any other job with BS out there but at Disney its put on a happy face for the guests so they dont know. Thats what I always liked about it.

yeah, lazy us... we sell a lot slower, and we close early but push back slowly. Im sorry if it offend you but its time we get lazy. Nothing to go on with... :|

that is horrible ! because you know when i went i was totally looking to see if there were umbrellas next to the cart instead of being up..:rolleyes1

:lmao: Hey spongie! How are you tonight?

I'm trying to figure out if I should buy my dd7 this...http://www.amazon.com/Little-Pony-S...e=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1195945953&sr=1-1

She wants it but I honestly think she will outgrow it quickly. She's an old and mature 7. that sounded funny but ya know if she was a young 7 maybe but shes pretty mature for her age.

:rotfl2: why did you offend me? I was just saying it was one of those things that everyone thinks working for disney is perfect and its NOT. I was agreeing with you but obviously it didnt come across right....:lmao: I'm sorry I'm tired. Oh and blonde!!!

I totally know that makes sense but I cant stand the look of LED lights. :confused3 :lmao: We have some neighbors that have them and I always feel like I am straining my eyes to look at them it gives me a headache. :headache: I do like the energy savings though but not enough to switch til they get better looking ones.

Sweet. :thumbsup2

Yeah, she occasionally plays with her my little pony's as well. I just look at the dancing and singing part of it and think it will either break or not work correctly or she will think its too babyish and then I'm out $40.00. :lmao: Story of a moms life, right?

She is getting her first AG doll from Santa. WOW STICKER SHOCK not just the dolls but the accessories as well!:scared1:

then i would say spend the $40 on accessories for her AG doll i am glad that my DD is not into those yet?

I know they are so expensive. I have explained that these are dolls you TAKE CARE OF and I think she is old enough now. I'm just shell shocked. Some of her friends have like 10 of them.:scared1: She will be lucky if I can push the order button on one!

Well spongie my eyes are drooping. Hope you stay warm there! Goodnight.

Kitty litter... well I used several kinds, all in varying degrees of stinkiness- UGH!
Remember I live in an apartment, so it HAS to be as non stinky as possible.

The best I have tried and use regularly is Swheat scoop
8774822879B.jpg

It's a wheat based product, safer for environment (renewable resource, biodegrades) .. safer for little kitties (The regular scooping litter is not really good for young kittens because of the dust.. gets into their eyes and noses. Wheat based so it's safe if the kitties try to eat the litter. )
It lasts for a few weeks with regular daily scooping.

Costs a bit more than the other brands.. but when it comes to stinkiness  it's worth the extra $. The poos still stink, but the pee gets neutralized, it smells very sweet when it's wet. It clumps very well too.. much better than the cheapo litters.

The problem is... it's not readily available at supermarkets or places like Walmart. Natural food stores, Petco, Pet Smart, Target are the only places you can find it.

Awesome!! I will look for it! It just dawned on me that I'm finally the one talking about THE BROWN STUFF, yet Alex didn't show up!:lmao: I've got a Target and Whole Foods near my work so I will check there. If I can't find it I'll run to Petco or Pet Smart out by the mall. Thanks so much. Oh and my family thanks you too!

I like the fact that it is natural. I've tried a couple of different clumping litters, regular litter and the pine litter. I liked the pine litter, but you couldn't scoop it because the pine pellets were so big. Then it dawned on me, they are nothing but pellets for wood pellet stoves. They put them in a little bag, call it kitty litter and charge $5. I could go buy a humongous bag of pellet stove pellets for $5!

Part of my new "sleeping plan" devised by my doctor is that I have to get up at the same time every day. Which kind of sucks on the weekends! But it has really helped my sleeping and I'm able to fall asleep much faster. I'm trying to go to bed at 10pm every night and get up at 5:30-6am every day. So nothing better to do in the morning than get on the computer!

DD & DH just loaded up to go to the races. If the weather holds I might go watch her race this afternoon. I figure this morning I will get all the decor around the top of my kitchen cabinets cleaned. I have to laugh because we don't drink wine, yet I decorate with it! I have some really cool bottles that had a pear grown in them before the wine was added. I also have a really cool bottle of Marilyn Merlot with her (Marilyn Monroe's) photo on the front. My bosses nephew is the local alcohol/wine distributor in Portland, so he gave me a few unusual/collector's items wines with neat labels and stuff to decorate with.

I have a HUGE stack of garbage sacks in the middle of the floor from cleaning the kitchen yesterday. Also, I went through my shoe rack and got rid of some old shoes. See this is why I need to go places when I have a few days off work, otherwise I turn into a cleaning freak! Even when I was home sick from chemo I would try cleaning!:lmao:

Which reminds me I took a huge step yesterday in my recovery from cancer. I bagged up my wigs & hats. My SIL has a friend that was just diagnosed and will be starting chemo in a couple of weeks, so I'm giving them to her. Today I'm going to throw out my leftover meds. It's a weird feeling, sort of like throwing a life preserver away. It's a way of officially saying, my cancer won't come back! Scary, but a good feeling at the same time. I know, it's not like I can't buy more, but it's just a symbolic thing I guess. I've been afraid to get rid of them, feeling like it would jinx me. I know that sounds silly. Sort of like giving away your baby's crib - it's officially saying I won't have anymore babies! Only it's death you're talking about, not life. Anyway, I'm ready to move on. Notice I removed the pink ribbon from my siggie a week ago? Just doing things in little steps.

Anyway, DS just woke up so I can start cleaning and making noise. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'll pop back on in a bit and see if anyone's here!:)

What, nobody's here yet?? Decided to start wrapping the xmas presents this morning, so I got about 95% of those done. Ran out of bags, so I need to go down to the Dollar Tree and pick up a few more large bags.

Just about ready to start working on the kitchen decor. Not a fun job! So what was I thinking when I fell in love with the vaulted ceilings...it certainly never dawned on me that I would be standing on the kitchen cabinets trying to get the vacuum cleaner to reach up that far! Oh well, what's the worst that can happen - I fall and break numerous bones. Then I can just sit home in a full body cast and DIS the day away!:lmao:

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!:) :) :)

You go Alison!!! :thumbsup2

Well.... Last night dh went to his friends house, and he was there til 11 or so... I watched Knocked up on PPV, and it was SOOO funny!! I also ordered a pizza, and just chilled on the couch. Dh got home and watched the ending of it with me, and even he thought it was really funny! Today we braved the crowds and went to Cabelas. It just opened last weekend, and WOW!!! What a nice store! Dh got a work jacket, and Mikalah got a little cammo rag doll. VERY CUTE!!! Dh wanted all kinds of things, but unfortunately for him, we arent millionaires!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just popping in at naptime to say 'howdy!'

My sister called yesterday to say she and my mom were going to Target, so I cruised through their ad and asked her to pick up a few things for me. I haven't heard back from her yet if she got any of my items, but my mom said last night that my sis had a fully-loaded cart on her shopping spree! :thumbsup2

I still haven't ventured out, but now would actually be a good time to go. Munchkin is sleeping (or at least he was until DS7 went into that room to grab DH's PSP  ), and DH and DS7 are occupied with electronic games...

I just perused some photos I took the last couple months, looking to see if any would be appropriate for a Christmas card. There were some from Thanksgiving of the boys that were cute, one of them wearing these weird googlie-eye glasses that my sister got, and one of them cuddled together in a papasan chair, but I still want to do something that looks more festive, or more wintry, perhaps. So will see if I can take them out and get some good shots this next week.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and I'll try to pop in tonight! :)

Hey guys, what going on? Just got finished with my Christmas shopping!!:woohoo: Now I can work on my decorations!!

And its really cold here! that gets me in the mood to decorate, last night in got down to 61!!!!!!! and today it hasn't gotten over 75!!!

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!

My FIL went to that store when they opened up! He said it was awesome and he spent 3 hours in there. And he hates shopping! Looks like we are going to be staying home for Xmas, so maybe we will stop by there if we head to Seattle.

Try 48 for a high and 27 for a low! But at least it's sunny!! Got most of my Xmas presents wrapped today and stashed out in the locked up travel trailer where the kids can't get to them! Went to the skate park for a while. The Monster Energy truck was there handing out free drinks to the kids!:thumbsup2 Get 'em hooked while they're young.:lmao:

Then I went to the Dollar Tree and bought $40 worth of candy & xmas plates. Every year we let the kids make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers, put frosting on them and decorate with lots of candy. So I'm thinking we will do that sometime in the next 2 weekends. DS can invite his cousins and a few friends and DD can invite her friends! Think I'm going to limit it to about 4 friends each, 10 hyped up sugar laden kids are enough for one Saturday! :rotfl: We eat lots of candy! Order a pizza and get soda pop. It gives the parents a few hours to go shopping and the kids love it! We've tried the fancy gingerbread houses, but they always seem to fall apart. So we just use graham crackers and make little square houses with a flat roof (takes 6 crackers each) and they seem to hold up well with kids! Some years I get large christmas book and wrap it in foil to put the house on, then they have a book to read when they are done. But the kids seem to be getting a little old for that, so I just got Xmas plates this year!
