way cool....congrats:cool1:
I know!!!
DH was watching that before he fell asleep also. I have no idea!:confused3 He's been watching a lot of Sci-Fi stuff the last couple of weeks. He never watches Sci-Fi, he's more of a Clint Eastwood, John Wayne movie type of person.

They opened up 1 lane in each direction at 6pm tonight, but for commercial truck traffic only. Apparently there is still one northbound section completely flooded, so the northbound trucks have to go over on the southbound side. I guess all the truckers have to stop & talk to the state patrolmen and get direction before they will let them through. There is still a lot of debris and stuff. But I think it's good they are letting them through. I have a feeling a few more days and it would really start to impact commerce in the state. I must say though I have enjoyed commuting the past few days with hardly any semi-trucks on the road!

I know a shortcut! But they haven't advertised it. Cut off I-5 at Castle Rock, drive to Raymond, cut through Aberdeen and come out at Olympia. It's the way we go to my inlaws at the coast. The road isn't bad, but I have a feeling since it's only a 2 lane road they didn't want that much traffic on it. But it's way faster than going through Yakima!

See... I was wondering about that. I was like, that cant be the ONLY way to get south. We used to go to the ocean all the time, and I seem to remember there were lots of roads that cris crossed down there. :confused3

Lynn, is Andrea still working two jobs, or was she able to cut it down to one? And is her ex in rehab? (I'm sorry if this is too nosy, please don't say anything more than Andrea wouldn't mind.) It didn't sound like she was interested in getting back with him or anything, I just hope he's cleaning himself up for the sake of his kids. It sounded like he was a good, involved dad before all this.

oh I would never say anything that she wouldnt want made known..she is still working 2 jobs but she is ok with it for right now...yes her dh is still in rehab...she was going to cut the job down to one but she just couldnt bring herself to cut out that money and I think next month she is getting a good bonus...so we will keep our fingers crossed:goodvibes

I hear ya!!! We went last year in January to see my sisters in Bend and Florence. It snowed the whole way from N. California up. Big rigs sliding around.........................was I ever happy to get to my sis in Bend. But then we had to see my other sis. So once again on the road in a huge snow storm. When we left my sisters from Florence, it was even snowing there by the beach. I'm too much of a Cali girl I guess................... a weather wuss!! :lmao:

give it up for the cali girls:dance3: we are weather wusses and proud of it:lmao:

DH loves to drive in the snow. I remember a few years ago we went to visit my parents in Reno for Christmas. There was about 3 feet of snow over Willamette Pass, it was absolutely beautiful. DH had just gotten me a new CD of Chicago's greatest hits. I still think of all those huge beautiful trees with snow on them everytime I listen to that CD. I would hate to drive in that stuff, but DH loves it.

:scared1: I just ate a chocolate chip cookie, with no chocolate chips!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :lmao: Could you imagine if it snowed here?? There would probably be a million car accidents and we would all be so clueless as to what to do! :scared1:

SHooottt... It still gets like that here when it snows... Especially if I am driving!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm with Alison. My legs hurt!!

Pix, I went to every Juicey store and department imaginable!! I picked up some jewelry, shoes and a velour hoodie for gifts. 4 girls. I guess I can't go wrong with Juicey.

Good Night!

My parents are from ND, and every time it snows here they get so frustrated with other drivers. I'm not used to driving in the snow (having lived here most of my life), but it ain't rocket science! If you just use a little common sense, you can usually get through safely. Or better yet, stay home! :thumbsup2
