I like the Trader Joes Kona(its a weekend treat) because its kinda pricy!

i like kona too but since I started mixing the ethiopian and african beans together I tend to not go for the kona much...I like my coffee strong too...

Minnie and Friends was fun, but kinda hectic. Characters were coming one after the other, and they seemed to start out with a 'route' to cover the whole place, but then when they got bunched up at the same table they'd deviate from the route and then wound up skipping us! We waited to see Eeyore, then walked out, but caught him outside. We waited for him to take a break, but then the somewhat nice CM 'handler' we were waiting with was chastised by another cranky CM who apparently was nagging them to get back inside.

We went to Minnie & Friends hoping to see Pooh characters (for DS3), and we did. We saw Tigger and Eeyore (and several other characters.) I was just bummed about the disorganization and people stepping in instead of waiting at their table, and the crankiness of some of the staff. Other people have said it's their favorite character meal, so maybe we just had a bad experience.

you know whats really funny alex....ive done Minnie and Friends a ton of times and I absolutely love it...it is my favorite character meal period...but you are not the first person I have heard say what you've said...which always bewildered me because Ive never experienced it...but one thing I found out which may be totally coincidental but I wonder how far off I am on this one...when I do Minnie and Friends I ALWAYS make my PS for first thing in the AM when the park opens and most of the people who said they had bad experiences go after 10:30am...so why dont you consider doing it again but next time go when park first opens and see if there is a difference...I would really like to know...I was going to tell you about trying it staley but I had no idea you didnt like breakfast food and that is what they serve so it probably would be a waste of money for you...I on the other hand breakfast food and could eat it anytime day or night...Andrea is like you too...we are having to compromise and do 1 lunch and one breakfast at CC so we both get what we want

The news is currently showing photos of the wildfires in So Cal. Scary business!

Good Morning!

DBF and I were at Magic Mountain yesterday and the whole park was filled with smoke! My throat hurts this morning. Ash was falling on us all day! When we were on the tall roller coasters we could see the hills all around Santa Clarita on fire. Magic Mountain was going to close the park early becasue of the smoke and also becuase most of the good rides were closed because of the high winds. They were handing out tickets to come back at the exit but we stuck it out because we wanted to do the Haunted Houses and stuff.

Yeah, its bad here too. The smoke from the fires started to drift over the house eariler today! Now I have ash coming down on my lawns. the Smoke is getting to the point that whole house smells of it, despite the air cleaners we have going!

Our car smells like smoke from the drive home last night.

Morning all, we are well.

The dog crates are staged in the garage with food, we are packed, and either awaiting an evac order or if the fire changes directions, it is about 4 miles north of us, and moving west! we are on the east side of I-15, across the freeway is the mandatory evac area!

What a great day.(??)

So I just got my computer hooked back up after having it down for a few days. We did the floors in the bedroom it looks AWESOME!!! Could not put them in on a diagonal like we wanted though because while the cuts and the installment were easy, it was not easy to bang the last piece in against the wall since it was on a 45 degree angle everything else was jarred out of place. It just wasnt working so we are laying it straight but it looks GREAT!

Its a precaution, right now the fire is to the north of us and the winds are blowing it west, but the winds could change direction. Then its time to GO.

So where exactly is the fire? I am familiar with the 15 south and where it connects to the 8. I know where Qualcom Stadium is. Is it alot higher up on the 15?

Yes, the fire crossed I-15 in Rancho Bernado, and farther up the 15 in Escondido!

I hope everything is OK by Friday. We are going to San Diego for the weekend for the Monster Bash at The Gaslamp Quarter on Saturday. We take the 15, but I guess we could take the 5 if we had to.
