Good morning, hyenas!
It is...wait for it...not raining at the moment!![]()
Of course it's gray skies and has been raining, so I have no doubt we'll see some more today, but for the moment it has stopped.
Mmmmmm, did somebody mention coffee???
DH and I are currently sipping some Disney French Vanilla (decaf) coffee. As much as I hate the coffee in the park/hotels, this is a bit yummy! Especially considering it's decaf, not bad at all.![]()

Most of my family came over last night for dinner and birthday celebration, which was really nice. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, then my mom ordered an entire tiramisu for my "birthday cake".![]()
We brought dessert home and chatted a bit (about our DL trip, what else), then opened a few presents and ate the tiramisu. My DSis gave me a bundle of cool Disney embellishments for scrapbooking, yay!
wow, an admin just messaged me asking the weather... lol...
Good Morning Hyena's!!! No rain here - but we are expecting a high of 50 degrees!!!They are telling me we have a 50% chance of seeing snow by Halloween!!!

We finally cleaned up the condo and turned in the keys...DH realized he left a 1/2 bottle of tequila - so hopefully they aren't too upset - and if so, the can quickly get over it!!!![]()
We are about 80% moved in to the other place - but I am tired of putting stuff away so I figured I would take a quick break. I am still working 4-5 nights per week too - but I will try to do better and check in more often - assuming you all will still have me!!!![]()
I guess....
Im glad to see you back! So, how are things going with the house? It sounds like you are doing better!

Thanks!!!![]()
Things are good - not sure if the offer on the house is going to go through - the guy is being a real jerk about it. He offered 30K less then our asking price (which we will deal with in this market), but wants us to pay him 2.5% of price back to cover his closing costs (about 9 grand). We countered that we wanted 10K more then to make it fair - he only offered 4. We will accept if and only if he will not ask us to fix anything - he can let us know within the next few minutes - so we should know shortly.
The rental house is great - bigger then we thought - and it is very nice out here. I will post pics of the back yard at some point!
Sounds fabulous! My parents went through some of the same things when they sold their house, it finally got sold though! I hope it works out for you guys!!!
How are the kids liking it? Are you getting used to the cold weather yet? We are in the 50's right now... with lots and lots of rain. and hail.... But its the norm for us.
IT'S SOLD!!! MY HOUSE IS SOLD!!!:cool1:
IT'S SOLD!!! MY HOUSE IS SOLD!!!:cool1:
The kids love it - love school, love the fact that the leaves change colors (we have never experienced that), and really enjoy playing outside. I actually HATE the heat and love the cold - so it is really not that big of an adjustment. Alec is constantly wearing thermals underneath his clothes (he was always cold), and seems to be doing great. It is also much slower paced here - so Alec seems to be doing great and his speech is improving. We are actually probably crazy because we have not actually used our heater yet - just have been bundling up at night time. So the cold really is not a factor yet. I am just not looking forward to icy/snowy roads.![]()
IT'S SOLD!!! MY HOUSE IS SOLD!!!:cool1:
Yesterday I got an oil change for my car. While my bf and I were waiting, we headed over to the Honda dealership next door. We went int othe lobby and saw that they had an '08 S2K. My bf was curious to see what features it had and was sitting in the car and looking around. The salesman all see us and ignore us (assuming because we look too young to afford this vehicle). A couple minutes pass by and one salesman finally approaches us. He says: "Can I help you with something?" and my bf says: "Oh, we're just looking at the car." The sales guy says: "It's a nice car huh?" and my bf says: "Yeah, I have one." You should have seen the facial expression of the sales guy. He looked like this:
I thought it was hilarious!
It looked like his eyeballs were going to jump out of its sockets!

That's funny!!! The same thing happened to us 6 years ago when we bought our 2nd house. They had three developments, expensive, moderate and cheap. We wanted to view the "expensive", and when we walked in the lady got all snotty and directed us to the cheap ones. Boy was she embarrassed when we bought the house that same day!!!
Ugh!! We are so excited but now nervous - just hoping all the funding goes through and everything clears fine!!!
