I'm watching Good Eats, he's making jam. Hmmm, too much work for me. But the show is always a learning experience. Hubby and I talked about it once.. thinking certain episodes would be really good for science class. This one might be one of those, talking about bacteria.

my 3 older kids are all in april like days apart but 2 yrs apart so we usually have a big thing for the 2 boys and then my DD (daddy has to always throw a big party for his only princess). i am sorry to hear about your chemo is everything okay now?

Yep. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last August. I'm now a 1 year survivor!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Went through a left mastectomy, chemo & radiation. Now I will probably be doing reconstructive surgery this winter. So far it looks like the cancer is gone, but only time will tell for sure. I decided I could sit around and worry about it all the time or go on with my life and have fun. None of us know how long we have to live, so I just enjoy my family & pray that I have many more years to come. :thumbsup2

I agree. Your Fianance is what is important now. If you lose it right now, it will be harder to recover...

Seeing the Hyena isn the top priority, besides, they will be back another time when you have everything settled!
True. Not like Pixster and Bernice don't go to DL very often... :rolleyes1

I also vote to save some funds in the short term; I think you'll be happy in the long run that you did. :)

My favorite science experiment was in 8th grade. We were learning about heat & calories. When you got near the end of the book you got to bring in a steak to cook on a little portable grill. It was part of an experiment and then you got to eat it during class. The science teacher provided baked potatoes! We worked at our own pace in the class and that experiment was towards the end of the book. So it was an incentive to finish the book!

i just had a breast cancer scare i am currently taking a high dose of estrogen due to a hysterectomy i had a huge lump in my right brest , went in for my 1st mamogram and found out i had a very engorged, clogged milk duct . but i still have to be very careful because of my estrogen..

Alison's idea of fun:

Missing a plate, resulting in dropping food on the floor, looking at and laughing enough to make her DS think "mom has totally lost it"

AHHH the joys of medication. :thumbsup2

ohhh and woshipping the Uranus above the Space Mtn bathrooms which resulted in our own religion.. Bernalison, which evoloved into Buns of steel Uranus Worshippers of Bernalison :rotfl:

And the whole "uranus worship" has become standard language in my family. As in "I have to go worship Uranus" as we exit Space mtn. Thanks for that Alison!!!

Now how complicated could he possibly be making jam. You just mush up a bunch of berries, add a ton of sugar, a packet of pectin. Cook it up, then pour it into jars. Even I can make jam.

ahh, but he teaches all the scientific reasons for it all, sterlizing jars, pocessing it etc... I have no patience to putz with jams. Espicially if I can find them for cheap. And pick up the yummy specialty ones at Farmer's Markets.

okay i say the latter! saving money is alot better than struggling:cutie: and i think safety going and leaving is good too:hug: but now i am gonna be selfish:rolleyes1 NNNNNNNNo!!!! you have to go so i can meet ya ......:goodvibes... but i totally understand...

Ok I guess the majority rules...I will only stay 2 nights...however...no worries spongie...we will still meet up...I guess what I will do is come into the park friday after checking out and stay there until maybe 8 or so...by then maybe it wont be so bad going home and I will get home before 2 am...:goodvibes

WOW!!! What to do, what to do???
Do you save money, and drive home in fear?? Of do you stay and have more fun, and meet Hyenas? I know the second choice sounds sooooooooooo goodl. But I also know what it is like to have to worry about finances. So you are talking about a $125.00 dollars saved? Is that going to really scrap you for this month? Or the next?? Will it make a big difference 3 months down the road??
Something else.......... I would be scared silly to drive home all that way by myself late at night. Are you bothered by that??
I would probably go without alot stuff before I'd do that. ( I seem to remember a TR from you, before I knew you, about being side swiped on your way home last year.):scared1: Geesh!

Or you more confused than ever? :rotfl:

( I probably didn't help you much did I?) :rolleyes1

ok crazy lady:rotfl: no it wont scrap me for the month its not that...its just that I wont have the money to renew my AP before the expiration date but If I cut off that extra day then all I have to worry about is coming up with is $110 by the end of Nov. which I can do:goodvibes but if I had to come up with all $239 I wouldnt be able to until like Jan...which also means missing out on the christmas visit:sad2: and truthfully I am not bothered by driving home late at night at all...yes you remembered right about getting side swiped but that was going from DL to Moreno Valley and the fool came barreling into me..besides it was early afternoon when that happened...and you know our drive is pretty much a straight shot and once past the grapevine its country peeeeeeeeeeeeyuuuu...

and Albort I know what your saying kiddo and I hear ya its just I really wanted to see pix...next time I go down to see my aunt which will be christmastime I will see Bernice so no worries there...but I guess I will listen to all of you and just go wed-fri eve.....thanks guys:grouphug:

Now I know that I'm probably being very paranoid. But I see lots of women on the Komen message board that are told they have a clogged milk duct and it ends up being cancer. If you ever notice the lump or it doesn't go away in a few weeks. INSIST they biopsy it. Don't let them tell you you are to young or that it's just a benign lump. I was diagnosed at age 41. Biopsies are not that painful, can be done in doctor/radiologist office and are truly the only way to know for sure. I had my first mammogram in January and then 7 months later I found a huge lump that was cancer in my left breast.

The preceding announcement was brought to you by an extremely paranoid breast cancer survivor in celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness month!:rotfl2:

I was pretty freaked the first time I tried it. But honestly it really does feel good and you will feel so much better afterwards. It's not like going underwater & sucking water into your nose that way. I like the little medicine syringes, you can control the water flow better.

So how are you feeling tonight? Better I hope!
Thanks! That's the weird thing, I feel (and felt) fine other than an annoying cough and a voice deeper than DH's that comes and goes.

I should just bite the bullet, so to speak, and give it a shot.

omg do i remember that one:rolleyes: its almost midnite and the 2 goofballs are yackin it up about uranus and pointing it out to all of us SEVERAL times...I was so tired my eyeballs were about to fall out and those 2 acted like they were on crack:rotfl:

I have patience to make jam, but it could be because I have blackberries growing everywhere around here and they are free!:thumbsup2

You're quite welcome!:) :) :) Did I tell you about DD opening up the exploding 2 liter soda pop bottle while all of her friends were here decorating their clothes for homecoming week? The entire kitchen was covered with soda pop. So guess what I did? Yep, just like the commercial I ran into the kitchen and grabbed the sprayer on the sink and started soaking her!:rotfl2: Ahhhh...it was so much fun!!
