What did you do at WDW again?

For 5 years I worked in an outside merchandise shop. We had carts and a store but no air conditioning. We also rotated between Glow (back then we had the heavy large aprons with the glow necklaces sticking out of them and we walked around the park at night freely selling them, it was a blast) and the baby care center. (these people yelling at their lost 2 year olds drove me crazy one night but I wont get started!!! Florida humidity and rain with no air is miserable. Uggh. The west is much more pleasant without the High humidity. I hated it and had to get inside so I switched to CRO which I have to say stunk like crazy. It was the worst job. Ya know the ones who answer the phones at 407-W DISNEY. I wanted back in the parks so bad they let me this time in air conditioning in France in EPCOT since I spoke French at the time. Could I say any French now. Probably not. :lmao:

My husband worked in a counter service restaurant in the Poly resort. He also worked CRO and at Mannequins nightclub on Pleasure Island (not a job you want your husband doing trust me!!!)

There is a show at WDW called the Hoop Dee Doo Review and they pick people out of the crowd to dress up on stage and play some sort of part. I've never seen anyone deny this either although there is some hesitation. The last time I went to that show my heart was beating so rapidly and I was holding my breath. Dh said my palms were sweating when he grabbed my hand. I was so terrified. Now the funny thing is if I chose to I could go on stage in front of thousands of people but if picked out of a crowd and dragged up I have nightmares! :lmao:

even planned before hand .. I couldn't do a big crowd announcement or anything. I was conveniently sick on dept meeting days, when it was my turn to stand up in front of all the staff (several hundred) to give updates. It's not like anyone would really care about what I was saying.. so what the heck was the point of terrifying the wall flower staff .. besides it wasn't in my job description- humph!:snooty:

yeah a planned public speaking engagement is frightening to me as well. I'm more of an impromptu person when it comes to that. I will dance in front of a crowd or belt out a song (totally bad at both by the way) but its my choosing and I dont think about it. otherwise I get sick to my stomach!!! :lmao:

I ordered a bag from Hollister. :yay:

Shawna, you have totally changed my perception of you! You reminded me so much of one of my childhood friends, who always had a very outrageous sense of humor. I wasn't there, but she told me on her first day at college she went to the dining hall, got a full tray of food, and as she entered the very full dining room the tray clattered to the floor.

EVERYONE stopped eating and turned to look. She froze for a second, then made an elaborate bow! Suddenly there was a burst of applause from the room, and she was able to extricate gracefully. :rotfl2:

I heard that it's fun to work in the GCH (behind the front desk). :confused3 At least you would be escaping the heat and might see celebs pull up to the front. :cool1:

See that I could do and I have done. I've fallen numerous times and laughed it off or said it was a new dance craze when people noticed but when comedians pick me out of an audience ooooohhhhh that gets my heart racing! its just a strange fear I have. You should see me run past piano bars especially in my younger days. I wouldnt step foot near Howl at the Moon! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

front desk would not be bad a lot of complaints at WDW when I was there (my roommate worked at the GF front desk) but you would have the means to make tihngs right for guests. I just hated sitting all day on the phone!!!  nightmares are rushing back. I talk on the phone walking all around my house so dh said I would have been happy there if they would have made an area like a dog run for me to walk back and forth in. I cannot sit still on the phone for 8 hours a day and be happy. :lmao:

No A/C in the summer must be torturous!

OMG Florida is nasty as I'm sure you well know if you have been there. I had to wear a polyester long sleeve button down shirt with a tie at the neck so it had to be buttoned all the way to the top and a very long skirt with panty hose or pants with black socks and black tennis shoes. I picked the skirt with panty hose and high heels so I could get some air around the privates if you know what I mean! We used to go backstage or in the stock rooms and flap our skirts up to move the air around! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: of course i was the skinniest in my life because I sweat so much!
