front desk would not be bad a lot of complaints at WDW when I was there (my roommate worked at the GF front desk) but you would have the means to make tihngs right for guests. I just hated sitting all day on the phone!!! nightmares are rushing back. I talk on the phone walking all around my house so dh said I would have been happy there if they would have made an area like a dog run for me to walk back and forth in. I cannot sit still on the phone for 8 hours a day and be happy.

yeah, im still in love with Guest interaction... :| Thats why is really wanted to join Dream Squad... :\ I dont know any other jobs that would allow you to walk around the park talking to people... :\

I noticed more totes and purses in the park for sale, some are really cute!

I'm not a purse person.. but they were tempting to me.


ohhhhh and if you want Pirate's Crocs.. they have them on sale for 40% off in the park and World of Disney store. Very limited sizes left, medium and large. Guess that means they are discontinuing them at DL??

OMG Florida is nasty as I'm sure you well know if you have been there. I had to wear a polyester long sleeve button down shirt with a tie at the neck so it had to be buttoned all the way to the top and a very long skirt with panty hose or pants with black socks and black tennis shoes. I picked the skirt with panty hose and high heels so I could get some air around the privates if you know what I mean! We used to go backstage or in the stock rooms and flap our skirts up to move the air around! of course i was the skinniest in my life because I sweat so much!

That's terrible! I always wondered how the CM's could stand wearing long sleeved clothing during the summer heat. There are some who even wear thick sweaters and a long sleeve dress shirt underneath or they have a peacoat on! I would instantly!

Especially the Haunted Mansion workers. I know they are indoors and there must be A/C but some of them have to stand outside at the entrance.

yeah at first I thought it would be cool but then I hated it. 6 months before I could transfer out but it took longer than that unfortunately. Meanwhile I was so missing the park. there was absolutely no magic sitting in a cubicle 20 miles away from the MK. it was hard to get excited about it all. by the end of my stay there I was like "yeah yeah you are going to disney world for the first time great so is everyone else where the hell do you want to stay" while I was rolling my eyes!!! I knew I had to leave that job. luckily I got to go back to EPCOT.

ok so i didnt really say that to the guest I was thinking it though!!!

Any Bambi ones? I bought a Bambi messenger bag at the Disney Store the other day. It wasnt that cute but it was on sale pretty cheap and hey its Bambi! I have a new DL bag now!

I tried to find baby red pirate Crocs for DS3, but everyone was out.
So I ordered red Disney ones (with the little Mickey head holes.) I hope he likes them.

I always feel sorry for the ones outsides.. they look miserable in the heat.

My husband misses the old style uniform of the tour guides. He was happily following a group of ladies in mini skirts today.. and gave a little whine when we had to turn and go a different direction.

"Bye mini skirts" and scuffled along to our next destination.




But we both got an eyeful of one chick in a corset style cami, white with lacy ruffles.. it had bride/bachelorette pins on the straps.. and umm lots of cleavage.

now my store/area has cotton polo shirts and tan shorts as their costumes. When I saw that I was like Darnit these people need to be in polyester people!!! If I had to suffer so do they. THEN they put air conditioning in the main tower shops so at least you could get a break if you rotated from the carts to the shop. They have it EASY! EASY I tell ya!

today, my legs were killing me so i start to lean... Manager got really mad...
i was like dude, you get to sit in the office all day... not only that, you dont know ANYTHING about US. He got hired in and trained directly to manager... kinda BS... :\

Ok I've had it! I have to get my high school transcript to be a volunteer at my sons preschool. Well, I could get it online but the website says that my graduating year was too outdated so they didnt have that year or the years prior to that online. GEESH way to make a girl feel old!

I remember last year they carried some tote bags that were made by Loop NYC. You can find them for MUCH cheaper on e-bay. There was a store in the mall I found (a skateboard store) and they sold disney couture jewelry for much less than in the park. That's where I got my Tink necklace for around $20. It cost $50 in World of Disney.

Agreed they should all work in the park for awhile even if it was a training period. of course i feel this way about every manager. You have to know what your employees go through to effectively manage and understand them. however this idea seems to ellude most businesses.
