oh... and we got a call from Dh's friend Billy today... The one that I went down to help for his wifes surgery.... Heather is PG.:sad2: She just had gastric bypass 6 months ago! That cant be healthy for the baby! They told them to wait at LEAST 2 years before even trying. Billy was all freaked out to have kids with her, because her other kids have EXTREME emotional problems. They all have Bi-polar issues. the youngest one is pretty severe, he was suicidal at 4. :sad2: Not to mention she has 2 kids that she doesnt even have custody of! PLUS... she is in her 2nd to last year of Law School.... It really doesnt make sense to me! But whatever... Its not us, huh? Shes just the type of person I can see dropping out of school, and saddling them with her $250,000. in school loans. :sad2: Grrr.... Oh well... But if Billy comes complaining to me ONE MORE TIME about how unhappy he is.:headache:
Whoa, really? What a mess! I'd be scared for her health, and the baby's. And the bipolar thing is scary! And so are the law school bills! :scared1:

I just bumped into someone I hadn't seen for about 3 months, and she'd lost a lot of weight, so much so that I didn't recognize her at first! She bumped into me from behind, like only somebody you knew would do, and when I turned my head to see who it was I thought, "OMG, who the heck..." Then she started talking and I recognized her voice! (She also used to bleach her hair blond, now it's kind of a pretty reddish-brown.) I told her she looked fantastic, and what did she do? And she said she'd had that lap-band procedure done. She's lost 70 lbs. already!

wow, yeah I don't think gastric bypass and pregnancy mix well. I know there are real concerns about nutrition post surgery, lots of demand on the body. Baby will take what it needs, it's the mom who will suffer with weakened bones and nutrition deficiencies.

Bi-Polar is sucky.

Sounds like a lot on her, and your husband's friend's, plate.

hmm, isn't it odd with such a mix of age groups on the bus, that they don't have a bus aide?

Yeah... I was stunned. Ugh... this should be really interesting!:lmao:

YES!!! Dh and i were talking about that, and maybe NOW they put a monitor on the bus! DH and i were talking about putting Alex in Tae Kwon Do to kind of boost his self esteem a bit. They offer it at the Y, so I think we will do family membership.

My sister has friends and co-workers that I swear are destined for the Jerry Springer show. I have never heard of so many dysfunctional people in my life!

There's the gal who slept with the married man, his wife divorced him so she married him, and he can't hold a job, she pays child support for him, and I think he does drugs and cheats on her. Oh, and they're trying to get custody of the child. :sad2:

There's another gal who was in a long-term relationship with a great guy who loved her two difficult teenagers from a previous marriage. Then she bumped into her old HS boyfriend, slept with him that night, and told her BF the next day that she was leaving him.

There's the gal that had gastric bypass that eats pretty much nothing but fried foods, but feels she's doing well because she doesn't eat as much at a sitting as she used to and is still losing weight.

There's a catty, back-stabbing gay guy who doesn't get any work done, and is constantly complaining about everything and everyone, but apparently management is too afraid to fire him.

She tells me stories about them, but I swear, they all start to run together, I can't keep this person straight from that person, they're all messed up!

hmmm, but what's better..

hearing stories from your sis about Jerry Springer style living situations

OR

listening to your MIL discuss her sex life with you?

hmmmm?
hmmmmm???
which is better???

I get a kick out my MIL.. but oh my!:scared1: I really don't want to know how her latest sexual encounter went with some guy she is dating now. (mind you she's still young, just turned 50)

I asked DH about that, too. We talked about getting DS7 into something that will help him defend himself, but we wanted to find something focused on defense and respect and talking things through first, not offense. There is one of the martial arts that apparently is more defense oriented, but I can't remember if it's tae kwon do or not. But we decided to wait for now, because DS7 just started soccer, and I just signed him up for another short-term after school activity.

Boys this age are so funny. Girls are, too, but I guess I thought this was more of a girl thing. DS and some of his buddies were playing together after school last Friday as we moms watched and chatted. One mom tells me that her son had told her the week before that he and another boy didn't like my son anymore, because he likes to play football at recess and they don't. They weren't going to play with him anymore, either during recess or after school. She explained to him that just because my son likes to play football doesn't mean that he doesn't want to play with the other two boys; they should either play football with him, or play with him when he's NOT playing football. So he said OK. :rotfl:

Then this morning DS commented that one of the boys in his class was NOT his friend, and I asked why not. And he said because he plays with a third boy. "So? You play with him, too..." and he said, "Yeah, but not at recess, only after school." HUH??? :confused3

Hey, where's Tinkermell? Thought she was gonna post some DL photos??? :cool1:

Maybe she got scared away after being told she was "hot"

Actually, I think she was wondering if anyone posted recent photos to see what the park looks like now.

I had palnned to do that this weekend.. ah well, DL isn't going anywhere.

Oh, hey! So are you still thinking you might try to meet up with hyenas, or is that out of the question until you learn to drive?

hmmm, depends on how things go.

He drove himself to work today.
I think he's adjusting to his meds, not as sleepy just brain fogged.

I know we won't be doing MHT, too much money for us right now. Would rather put those funds toward getting a GPS, since we insist on taking wrong turns on every outing

PARTY with PIXIE TIME!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :woohoo: :woohoo:  :cool1: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3:

Hey, pix!

DS3 just discovered some cards I printed off the Disney site. I was going to tuck them in their school lunches for a little 'hello' mid-day. So he says:
"Mama, it's Pooh and fowers and effant and budda-fye!"
"Oh, look! Budda Beyah!" (The two bears in Brother Bear)
"And Baby Beyah!" (The younger bear from Brother Bear)
"And Lidda May Bird!" (The Little Mermaid  )

The Lidda May Bird cracked me up!!!

How are ya Ms Pix?

I'm good. I had a busy morning at work but right now I'm on my break. I'm glad it's almost time to leave work (2 hrs to go). I heard you were feeling a bit under the weather?
