Funny G- Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! :( I hope you feel better soon! :) Get lots of rest and drink chicken soup and get drunk on soap operas! ;)

I am so busy at work this morning. I just went to Starbucks and got my Strawberries & Creme Frapp and my Cho Chop Pasta Salad. Yummy!!!

awww, thanks Pixie!
Soap Operas-- ewwwww. Watching old episodes of Grey's online, guess it's close enough to Soap operas huh? ;)

ok, now I want to try the Chop Chop Salad, you tell us about it all the time.. mmmmmmmm.
I made my own SF vanilla latte this morning. Have a spare in the fridge for later- it was yummy!

cute! Thanks!

hmmm, funny how family that have become strangers (as in they never call, email, visit) .. come running out when illness strikes.

:confused3 I don't get it.

hubby's brother sent me an email (hubby never reads his own email, so we just tell everyone my email addy).
No apologies for not calling for the last 2 months, no clues as to why he doesn't talk to his mom or sibling anymore (but apparently my SIL got a hold of him, which I'm glad she did.. she hasn't been able to get a hold of him for a long time either).

I odn't think he understands what a seizure disorder is.. he writes "get well soon". ummmmmmmmmmmmm yeah, whatever. Odd considering he's going to school to work in the medical field:confused:

Hello, anyone still around?

G, sorry to hear you have a cold, that's a bummer!
Though your description of the latte is making me crave one! Think I'll go make an instant one...

It's really chilly today, my hands are cold, and I'm indoors! A hot drink sounds really yummy. BRB! :teeth:

Hi Everyone!!

Benice, please get well soon!!!!! Did you get the California rain the other day?? Or did it fizzle out??
Oh and I wrote you a little note last night. How's hubby today???

Alex, I'm still around. My sugery is on Wednesday.

Um..............I had to laugh when you guys were talking last night, and you remembered me when you said something about being old. Too funny! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Hey... does anybody else want to see some pics of the park right now?? I want to see how it looks all done up for the fall season. Wish I could see it in person like the rest of you. There might be a slim possibility for us to be there on Oct. 26th, but I'm not counting on it.

Please note that WE did not talk about you in relation to old, just the young one did. ;)

In her defense, however, she did say on a couple previous occasions that you look hotter than the rest of us, and I have to agree. :thumbsup2

I get emails when there is a post on the DL Picture of the Day thread and the Favorite Character Photos thread. Love these!

It's kinda funny, I was really excited and anxious to get booked, and once I did I got sort of slack, because it felt so far away. Now that we're nearly in single digits ( ) I'm reading TRs and posting a few questions. And my heart does that little skip when I see a recent picture! :yay:

Bummer. DH didn't pick up any International Coffee at the store yesterday, I'm out! So I'm drinking tea, which is a poor second when you really want coffee. Ah, well. I grabbed a couple cookies to console myself. :rotfl:

Weather.com says it's 60F here (though the sun is out for a change.)
A lovely 79F in Anaheim, however. I'm sooooo jealous. Hoping it's warm and sunny when we're there in... 11 DAYS!!! :yay:

All right, all right, I wasn't going to do this again, but you have left me no choice. Having been left to my own devices, I must do the dreaded Self-Interview:

Interviewer: So, are you all packed for your Disney trip?
Alex: Uhh, no. The luggage is still in storage, and the summer clothes are still crammed into the kids' dresser drawers along with the fall clothing.

Interviewer: So... Do you plan on bringing clothing to DL?
Alex: Yes, smart-aleck, we'll get the luggage out of storage this weekend. GEESH, what a nag!

Interviewer: Are the kids excited?
Alex: Not exactly. They know we have a trip planned, but I haven't bothered to mention that it's next week. So they are mostly clueless.

Interviewer: Are YOU excited?
Alex: YES! Though now I'm thinking of all kinds of things I had intended to do and haven't yet. Like laminate a LGMHPC to hang on the backpack, print some Creative DISigns onto transfer paper to make t-shirts, cut up some white cardstock for autographs, FIND THE DARN mini-clipboard I forgot to bring last year... And only 11 days left!

Interviewer: So what are things to NOT MISS this trip?
Alex: Well, naturally the MHT the night of our arrival. I'm eager to see what all that entails, take pictures of DCA at night, and see what the carnival type stuff is like. It was closed on our last trip, and I think the kids will really enjoy it. Also am dying to see the Aladdin Musical, which was closed on our last trip. I'm curious about the Golden Screams. Oh, meeting Staley and Dizzy families, of course. Not sure if G and Pix will make it or not, sounds pretty iffy. And DS7 thinks we're going to ride Screamin' together now that he's old enough. I don't know about that one... :scared1:

I'm sure you will have be-a-u-ti-ful weather when you are there!!! No worries!

OH, hey, no question there: Me! :rotfl:
Do you remember the carnival ride called The Zipper? (I think I've seen it with another name, but it escapes me.) Basically a cage that rolls around as all the cages run around a tilting bar kinda thing. I went on it once with my DSis and a friend of ours. I remember my stomach roiling (motion sickness) and the friend screaming bloody murder to be let out. She screamed the entire ride, and as soon as we got out (and I'm ready to hurl) she says happily, "That was so fun, let's go on it again!" DSis and I wanted to punch her lights out! :sad2:

So how often do you go upside down, just once? Have YOU been on it?

Hey, Moto! Sounds like you had a nice weekend. How's your Monday?

ahhh but my coffee is a homemade thingie...

I have a senseo machine,it's like having instant coffee but tastes way better- HA!

I made a cup of regular coffee, zapped a cup of milk in the microwave until steamy and frothy. Poured half the coffee into another mug for later...
milk, coffee, sugar free vanilla syrup (Torani or Da Vinci brand).

When I didn't have the syrup I used a splash of vanilla extract and some sugar, dash of cinnamon is good too.

The last few times I used the sugar free instant international coffee stuff... it wasn't good, it tasted funny to me and left an oily after taste- ick.

--------------------------------------------------
yep, we got the rain over the weekend. Saturday was cold and drizzly all day. It was nice to see, haven't had rain since we moved here.

(Hubby had rain at his school location in August, was over before it began.)
--------------------------------------------
Hubby's fine.. he went to work this morning. The meds make him a bit foggy headed, but he's adjusting to them. By Sunday he was feeling a bit better- not as sleepy, but his body hurt.

I was worried about his cheek being black and blue, but it cleared up nicely. His ear is bruised up but it doesn't hurt. The HUGE bruise on his arm does hurt, poor guy.

G!!!

Glad hubby's feeling better. Hopefully he's not like my DH. Every time he shows up at work with some injury, he'll say "My wife hit me." Fortunately almost everyone there knows me, so he and they think the idea of that is hilarious. :sad2:

In fact, there's this one guy that thinks DH is just like his oldest brother, a real hard-nosed taskmaster. Well, probably because DH is like that at work, but not at home, he's usually very laid back. Anyway, this guy was always asking me if DH was really strict with the kids (Ha! Lax, perhaps? I'm the disciplinarian in this house!) or had to have everything just so (Wow. Trust me, our house is never 'just so' unless by that you mean 'just sooo messy!' )

Screamin is not even remotely like the Zipper.. it's way cooler:thumbsup2

You go upside down only the once thru the Mickey Head.. and it's over very quickly. The type of propulsion and brakes used makes it a very smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth ride. I made the mistake of cliciking the restraint down too much, so it kinda hurt when we braked hard at the end of the ride. Tiny bit of space between you and the restraint is ideal.. I like the bunny hops near the end.. lots of "air"
